Good Morning all,
Its been a bad day at work so far, servers down all over the place.
Most of my applications we support are down, but nothing my group can do, The database team has all the problems today.

Snow on the way. they say it will start about 2 hrs before evening commute home so tonights drive is going to be a real pain in the ....

well you know what :rotfl2:

Did your day get any better? Today I was in a rant with a vendor on the phone. I RARELY lose my temper but this guy felt the need to argue with me about something his company is at fault for. I hate getting like that but he wouldn't listen to me. It's very frustrating. The whole day was pretty much like that. One frustration after another. Is it a full moon tonight??

Our "biggest snow storm of the year" ended up being nothing but an inch of snow, some ice, and rain. At 10 pm last night they were seriously calling for 10 inches of snow. I want to be a meteorologist. What other job can you have where people expect you to be wrong, and if you are wrong, you don't get in trouble?! Hope your forecast is as wrong as ours was. :sunny:

Yeah, my Mom and sister have been up there all day to get some answers. It is now sleeting, just in time for the evening drive home!!:scared1:

That's true- we all need to be meteorologists. :rotfl:

Well, my Mom and sister have talked to the doctor now, they are sending my Dad to do abdominal and cardial(sorry if misspelled) ultrasounds. The xrays were OK from yesterday. They are unsure why my Dad's blood sugar keeps on dropping, this morning it was 30 and 92 degrees temp- :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: , then they gave him breakfast he felt better. They won't let him leave until his blood sugar is regulated. I hope things get better. :confused3

It was 30??!!!!!! How was he not passed out?! The lowest mine has dropped was 38 and I thought I was going to be down for the count right then and there. And 92 degrees? :scared1: Whoa. I hope they don't let him leave without having an idea what's causing it.

OMG- you guys are crazy! 4 pages in 12 hours!!!! :worship: I'm impressed! It's going to take me days to get caught up....and isn't this thread #2? YIKES :surfweb: :lmao:

On my last cruise thread we did 1-2 pages a day and that was in the weeks right before! 18 months out.....oh boy, we'll need some live chats as we get closer!! :lmao: I'm a big talker though so I think I should be able to do my part too :rotfl:

Well, gotta go...have some reading to do....;)

Please don't let this thread intimidate you!! We are VERY talkative, not much cruise related right now though because we have lots and lots of time, and all of us (I think) are repeat cruisers. Just jump right in and talk away! :)

I think he was unconscious- then I guess the nurse came in and checked on him:scared1: I don't know how long he was like that!!:scared1: They seem like they are keeping a better eye on him now.

Not, yet, very gloomy looking though. My contractors put GIANT Tarps all over our addition!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ICE here! We are on the snow/rain line. I was out of the office today and had to drive about 60 miles home - the rain was freezing directly on my windshield. It wasn't fun at all. Looks like there will be another change over to all rain here. Enjoy your snow - we're still SOL here.

I've said it before here - what does meteorologist mean in English? Liar!

Yeah, it's an inexact science and all that jazz, but how many jobs can you have where you can be off by a foot and still be employed?!

Harry, that must have been a really bad ride. How long did the drive take you???

About 2 hours.... making it worse was the road I was on is the main road leading north from Atlantic City so it was loaded with "blue hairs" coming back from day trips...

Thank goodness you got home OK. We just got back from going out to eat and it is BAD. All the rain is turning to ice. The ice had stopped about 9am this morning and melted because it was raining at that point. But just in the time we were in the restaurant, it all froze again. I doubt the kids have school again tomorrow, but we still had them do their homework tonight anyway.

Like you would admit otherwise?! ;)

NEVER!!! Well, maybe with a few drinks. ;)

Abby,

Where did you go to eat?? Somewhere good I hope!!!!!!!!
