Hi Samantha! How was the competition??? :goodvibes

Without us! I have to have a word with her when she returns... apparently she left the door to England open when she left and the Spice Girls have invaded NJ this weekend....

Sorry about that!!! It wasn't what I wanted, what I really, really wanted!!! ;) With a zig a zig ah... :yay: :yay: :yay:

..I've been going to bed so early for me this week!

Then you're a very good girl, Abby!!! I had a couple of late nights this weekend but enjoyed the extended lie-ins!!! I'm going to try really hard this week and get to bed before 11pm... ;)

A friend e-mailed this to me last night:

The Shortest Fairytale Ever

Once upon a time, a girl asked a guy, "Will you marry me? The guy said "No" and the girl lived happily ever after and went shopping, drank martinis with friends, always had a clean house, never had to cook, had a closet full of shoes and handbags, stayed skinny, and was never farted on.

The End :rotfl:

Amen to that!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I wish that was my excuse. My knee started hurting again last night.
Its tender this morning , Had to put the ace bandage back on. :sad2:

I figure two or three days and then it will start feeling better.
I felt it try to buckle last night. I must of turn the wrong way. :sad2:

:sad2: :sad2: :sad2: Take care Ed...

1.) Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.

2.) Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour.
Five Minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.

3.) Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with Nothing usually end in Fine.

4.) Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission. Don't Do It!

5.) Loud Sigh This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A Loud Sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to #3 for the meaning of Nothing.)

6.) That's Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That's Okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.

7.) Thanks: A woman is thanking you, do not question, or faint. Just say you're welcome.

8.) Whatever: Is a women's way of saying #%&@ YOU!

9.) Don't worry about it, I got it: Another dangerous statement; meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking "What's wrong?" For the woman's response refer to #3.

So no excuses for getting it wrong then , boys!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Hey everybody! Went to Walmart then Outback for dinner, mmmmmm! It was good. My DH and I took my nephew that is 17 months- what a handful!! :scared1: I don't think my SIL and BIL take him anywhere. My BIL's mother passed away this morning(very unexpectedly-complete shock actually) so we were trying to help out. Plus my DFIL has had 6 stints(sp??) put in his heart last week- so my DMIL is taking care of him. Whewwwww!!:scared1:

That's sad, Nikki!!! :(

It was just really unexpected. I think it really shook my DH and his sisters up. Plus both of his sisters have to think of someone besides themselves now. LOL. Now that was mean of me, wasn't it??:rotfl:
I think "honest" is the word you're looking for, Nikki... ;)

DS is watching Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with Johnny Depp. I've never seen it. How can hunky, manly POC man be such a soft-spoken, wimpy guy in this movie??! I guess not much different than Edward Scissorhand. DH says "It's called acting". He's one heck of an actor!!

I love, love, love Johnny Depp! Ever since I saw him in 'What's Eating Gilbert Grape'... :thumbsup2 AND I've met him... :rolleyes1

Oompa Loompas give me agida though - well at least the songs do.

There's a great episode of Futurama where the gang win a visit to the Slurm factory and the set up's very much like the Choc Factory tho' totally gross - hilarious... :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

This movie does look very strange. I guess I'm partial to the strange Gene Wilder version. :)

...Come with me
And you'll be
In a world of
Pure imagination
Take a look
And you'll see
Into your imagination...

I love that song... :goodvibes

When you are standing in a line for something do you say "in line" or "on line"? (we say in line) And what do you call Coke or Pepsi products? Coke, pop, soda, cola?? We say pop. I think that's totally a mid-western thing though. I'm trying to think of other things we say differently.

We say sneakers, you probably say tennis shoes....

I queue for pop in my trainers.... :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Summer time thoughts...... Hilton Head DVC - 2007 :goodvibes

Soooo cuuute!!!!:goodvibes

My wife is convinced they all look like me, but I disagree! She says the same exact thing as you - "I gave birth to them - I wanted a clone"!!

Me too!!! Three wonderful offspring and not one that looks like me - tho' that may be a good thing... :cool2: :lmao:

It's cold here too. My DH and I are going to look at some houses today, we want to sell ours in about a year, and are not sure where we want to move and looking at different styles to see what we are most interested in. We are going to 5 Open Houses, we went to two yesterday, and didn't like either.:goodvibes

Oooh I love house-hunting!!! I don't travel anywhere without checking out the local real estate... :cloud9: Not so much nowadays but years ago we used to move house annually - buy a house, renovate it and sell it on... :goodvibes

It was great fun but we lost the passion for it when we came to this house! 9 years later and we're still here, with electrics, guttering and ceilings that need replacing!!! :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2:

THat sounds like fun NYC... We are thinking about sometime next weekend since the kids have the long weekend off from school. GOing to have to see how the weather looks...I'm hoping we could do the Star Wars thing too. Was hoping for DH B-day 3/8. But not sure how it is going to work out.. Depends upon what plans he wants for his Birthday.
We have made plans to spend Mother's Day weekend in the city too. We are going to eat at the AMerican Girl Doll Cafe too. I just made the reservations. So if nothing else we will be there that weekend....

Snow has stopped and the sun is out now!!!!!!!!!!

On Mother's Day, DD, DH and myself will be boarding the Wonder...
