I know the teacher she is a friend of mine. But just do not want to push her. But it is only Kindergarten...True, Very True not much gets done that last day. DH does not think they should miss. They are both good students so it is not an issue there. Or do we cut the trip short????!!!!!!!!!!!

Kristin-

How many days are the allowed for the year without a doctor's note? How many days have they missed so far because of vacation?

Morning! I see you've all been posting furiously and are already up to 30 pages. Hope all you poorly souls are feeling better - I've got Sophie at home again today, it's that time of year. We had a fab time at Cirque du Soleil for Sophie's bday. She thinks that Varekai is the best Cirque show she's seen, and would go again in a heartbeat if she could. Since then she's been watching all our dvds of the other shows we've seen, so it was truly a successful bday outing. She had a sleepover with 3 of her friends on Saturday. Tom and his friends watched the Superbowl on Sunday, and said it was an exciting finish (although he supports the NEP). I've realised it's only 2 months till Sophie and I stay at AKV and VWL, and just can't wait. (Btw, thanks Ed for the instructions on posting multi-quotes as I hadn't a clue!)

Hi Joan! Sorry to hear Sophie's not feeling well - my own Sophie had time off work last week with flu-type symptoms. Seems there just so much of it about... :sad2: Glad she had a good time at Varekai - I didn't realise there was a Cirque show in London!!! I think we'll have to check it out over half-term maybe... Do Tom and Sophie break up soon?? I'm looking forward to having Samuel back for a week tho' I've got to remember to make a couple of crucial opticians/dentist appointments...

Good Evening All!!!!!!!!!

Just had chocolate lava cake again tonight!!!!!!!
Oh Kristin!! You have to stop tempting me as when I read you've had Choccie Lava Cake I'm usually sipping coffee and I know the two things would work so well together.. :lovestruc :lovestruc :lovestruc

The kids had Tumble Bunnies class tonight too cute!!!!!!!
Awww, it certainly sounds cute - is it some sort of gym class...

DCL Lava Cake:

4 Squares baker chocolate
1 stick butter

Melt the two together in the microwave...

Then add 1 cup confectionary sugar
2 eggs
2 egg yolks
6 Tablespoons of Flour.

Whisk together briskly.

Pour into individual baking dishes that are greased.

Bake at 425 for 8 minutes. You want just the top to be cooked. THe inside will still be runny and gooey but that is the "Lava." Then go around the edges of the dish and take the cake out into a bowl or eat it in the dish you cooked it in and top with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. On the cruise they put raspberries and confc. sugar on the top....

Sounds good!!! :thumbsup2 Actually it sounds better than good!!! :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9:

Hi Karen! Cirque is on at RAH till 17 Feb - they usually come to London in Jan and we usually get tickets when they announce the dates (up to a year in advance). If you join the Cirque mailing list they send you details of all their productions. Tom and Sophie break up Feb 15 for a week and I've already got our dentist/hygienist appts made! I bet you can't wait to have Samuel home, and hope your Sophie's 100% now.

How did DH make out in footie? I saw that Aston Villa took one on the chin this past weekend against Fulham - that must have really pissed off the fans in your house?!

His team lost this week - tho' he scored early on! I think it's indoors 5-a-side he plays with a bunch of colleagues against other firms. He loves it tho' he's by far the oldest!!! Bless him...

Oh the game on Sunday was appalling - we watched on TV! So v-e-r-y tense in our house for a while.. The boys had thought about going as Fulham's not too far away - they were glad they'd stayed home!! :sad2:

Since I brought up footie in my last post, here is Jake with his "I just scored a goal" trot back to the center circle!

Great photo, Harry! :thumbsup2 Look at that smug look on Jake's face!!! :goodvibes

:teeth: Did any of you notice on past cruises that you seem to run in to the same people over and over? Every where we went there were cruise thread folks. ;)

DH and I kept running into one of our tablemate couples who we'd linked our ressie with - we even saw them in Florida Mall after the cruise... :goodvibes

So I seem to have caught up!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Morning everyone - hope you all have a fab day!!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

It's tough to lose to an opponent that you are expected to beat....

Hayden was doing great! :rotfl2: Gwynne is actually feeling better now. No fever. :thumbsup2 Thanks for asking! Are you feeling any better?

OOh gosh sorry Abby, I know when reading it realized I was asking about DS not DD..Sorry, I meant DD....LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
