My family of 5 have an 8:05 ADR for Crystal Palace breakfast for Sun Sept 4th. My hope it that we can be in and out before rope drop and get a little head start on the crowds. How quickly do the characters make the rounds? Can we expect to be out by 9? Thanks for the info!!

I wouldn't try to rush. You may be better off with a BOG if that's your intent.

Thanks!! I have been there before and know it can be a long time for all the characters to get around and I hate to feel rushed. BOG is totally booked for breakfast. I did get lunch ADR for BOG. Not sure if we will be keeping that one.

RD crowds are sometimes let in around 8:45 so I think you'd really be rushing. Enjoy your breakfast or keep checking for BOG. They do open up. Also since its CS for breakfast and you seat yourself you can make split reservations...like one for a party of two and one for a party of 3, etc. as long as they're around the same time and PPO, you'll all get in the park together and eat together.

I'd have to agree, you can probably get out close to 9. But getting a jump on the crowds? Very unlikely. It's still worth it I think you can still get a lot done before 10am even with starting at 9:15 or so.

That is a great tip!! Thanks!!

Since our youngest is 10 the overall character experience will not be super important. I think DW and I are more excited about the characters. I think I am more looking forward to hitting Main Street USA pre RD and getting some great pics.

A best bet from Crystal Palace is to head to Frontierland and Adventureland. All the rope droppers are beating each other up for Fantasyland. Get FP+ for a few things there for later in the day and start with the other side of the world.

You're welcome. We have a family of 5 and I've already made reservations for 2, 2 and 1 around the same time. You sit wherever you want at breakfast, so it isn't a huge deal. Only issue you'd run into is needing multiple MDE accounts. I use mine, my husband's and occasionally (rarely) if I need ADRs around the same time.

I was thinking the same thing. It is right around the corner so I think that is what we are going to end up doing. I was planning on joining the stampede to SDMT but I will FP+ that and PPF for later in the day. Thanks for the info!!

This is sound advice. Especially since the lines for the top Frontierland and Adventureland attractions don't tend to build as quickly in the first hour as lines for the top Fantasyland attractions (altough the Adventureland attractions build lines faster than they used to due to FP+).

If you do try to leave early, go ahead and settle your bill ahead of time. The wait staff will be glad to do so and you will not have to wait 5-10 minutes for the waiter/waitress to settle your bill.

We did this last Feb. with an 8:00 ADR, my husband and I and our 17-year-old son. We really like CP for the food and we've been doing the character thing since he was baby so we didn't have to bother with autographs. We took pictures as the characters came around but didn't care about seeing all of them. We The restaurant was not at all busy and we were able to eat at a comfortable pace and were out taking photos on Main Street when drop rope took place. We would have been the first peeps on Peter Pan if I could walk a little faster, lol. I'd say it's doable depending on your priorities.

You should be out a bit before 9:00. Try to get to the front gate check in early so that you're one of the first at the CP podium.

The great thing about being seated right when the restaurant opens is the characters are circulating before all tables are filled, so you should get to see them all in your first half hour.

Tip - settle your bill right after you order your drinks. That can easy save you 5 minutes or more.

We had an 8:00 reservation in June. We were fine at 8:45. The welcome show was ending rights when we walked out answer could see the masses heading down Main Street. We did manage to be first in line for Peter Pan.

The first time you see your server you can ask for your bill too. Then it's paid and you don't have to worry about waiting for it when you're all set to leave.
