7yr old still wets bed....HELP!

I don't know if this has been mentioned, so here it is.

How about giving him a bag to put wet clothes in. He could then put the bag in his closet. You can check everyday and see if there's a bag in there and then wash the items.

He'll know he did it, but he won't have to face what he may think of as disappointment from you in a face to face giving of the wet stuff. Especially if he has siblings, it just might be too embarrassing.

The important thing to remember is he's not doing it on purpose. This method would allow him to save face a bit while he grows out of it.

Best of luck.

Daughter will be 9 in July and still wear's pull up's. She went years with no issues, then she started taking medicine before bed and the accidents started. Doctor tells us that pill puts her in deep sleep and she is just not waking up to use bathroom.

We have also dealt with the wet, hidden clothes. I imagine that this comes from embarassment. We conquered it by saying nothing except reminding her to tell us. I would look for the clothes and also pay close attention to what she went to bed in and what she was wearing next time I saw her. Eventually, she realized that she would not get in trouble for accidents and started telling us. It is just easier to put her in a pull up versus dealing with the wet blankets.

One day, I hope she will grow out of it.
