7th January 2007, Dancing Queens Thread CONTINUED

Hey all.

Yesterday I got a really cool gift.

A friend won free tickets to a Martina McBride/Trace Adkins concert.

She couldn't use them, so she offered them to me.

She won them that morning and the concert was the same night. Not much notice but what the heck.

All it took was a 2 hour drive into Michigan and back.

BUT the concert was awesome. I took my mom with me. I had 4 tickets but couldn't think of anyone else who would want to go.

We even got a surprise bonus performance by Kid Rock

The whole experience was well worth what it cost me to go ($9.50 for border crossing fees, $15.00 for parking, $3.50 for a bottle of diet coke, a little over a 1/4 tank of gasoline for my car) We did also stop along the way for some dinner before the concert.

We enjoyed it hugely.

She arrived at 12:24PM, on 2/22/10!
Weights 7lbs., 12oz... and 20" long!....

I have yet to see her :-(....It will have to wait until I have some time off....

Mom is a super woman...one push and she flew out into Daddys loving hands!

Well I'm having a mum & daughter day today, this time with Becky. We're going to Birmingham for a bit of retail therapy, and we're on the look out for some birthday presents for her for next month. I'm looking forward to having a nice lunch too

We had a lovely day thanks Robin. She did really well, she came away with some PJ's, summer top, Board shorts with a matching bikini top and flip flops and a Chip (or it could be Dale) plush

We had a lovely lunch too. Becky walked the legs off me, and I was so tired when we got home .. I even ended up having an early night

So Kelly and Robin, how are those holiday photos coming along ?

I thought about doing those pictures yesterday but then I got involved in something else.

I promise that I have not forgotten but you know me...... takes me a few weeks to get my behind in gear and get it done.

HELP!.....I am snowed in....and have been for the last two days....

We, so far have gotten 18 + inches of snow...and its still coming fast and furious....welll maybe its slowed a little ...but hasnt stopped yet...

Hi there.

Well I did disappear for a couple of days but I don't know that you'd call it anywhere nice.

I went to help Liz move, actually more helping her boyfriend move.

She has moved in with her boyfriend but he lived 5 hours away (one hour down the road from Alex). He moved to be with her.

So we drove first to Alex's where I stayed Friday night and then on Saturday Liz picked me up on the way back to London (where she lives).

She really went there to pick up Travis' two cats. There wasn't room for them in the moving truck and it wouldn't be really comfortable for them either. It was much nicer for them to be in the van.

Then I helped them unload the moving truck and unpack a few things before I headed back for home.

So it was a weekend away but not really a weekend for pleasure

Liz is here right now.

She has to go to the dentist today for a root canal

I've never had one but it sounds really horrible. We've heard reports that it is actually not all that bad, so let's hope that is the case.

Hey Girls

It's a lovely sunny afternoon here (though a little chilly)

Yes I'm looking forward to the weekend Robin. We're supposed to going to a little town called Solihull tomorrow with some of our Disney friends (the friends we've met in Epcot on NYE the last few years). We booked the rooms ages ago, but now our friends are poorly, so I'm not sure if they'll get there Hopefully tomorrow they'll make a good recovery. Paul and I will still go, and have a day of wandering around the shops, a nice meal and a few TGI cocktails

No doubt Sunday will be spent recovering
