Mandy, I'm glad you are enjoying the pictures.

I think you are going to have to find yourself a way to get on the Magic.

It is so similiar to the Wonder but does have slight differences.

There was no karaoke for Ann that I am aware of.

I don't think she got anywhere near the nightclubs except for the adult only cabaret acts of the magicians and comedians.

Hey Betsy, enjoy your time with the girls.:happytv:

Hey Girls

I hope you're having a good day

All is quiet over here. The girls are off school/college for a week for half term, and they've gone shopping with some friends

Are you doing anything nice today

Take care :)

Hi Mandy

I'm not doing anything really nice today.

I went out shopping for a bit. I happened to look at the advertising flyer for one store and there were a few good sales, so off I went.

I got some new bras........ buy one at regular price get another at $5.00. That's a great deal since bras are expensive. The ones I regularly buy are just under $40.00 each

Also got myself another anti gravity chair for my deck.

I found them earlier this month at what I thought was a really good clearance price.

So I picked up one for the trailer and one for my deck.

Now they are 40% cheaper so I thought I'd go and get another so we will have two for the deck this summer.:thumbsup2

I need to go shopping for food and fully intended to do that while I was out but I lost my momentum and came home:confused3

I still may go out a bit later, either that or we will starve for another day or two. No big deal ;)

Hello DWDQs,

Hows everyone doing?...

We have been busy cutting back on bills as much as we can...

Mike and I went out today to change our car ins. carrier..as the other was not as good pricewise as it use to be...we will be saving about 1100.00 a year by changing to the new one... ..
So glad we finally got that done,. If I had known how much we would be saving we would have done it way sooner.....:goodvibes

We changed our cell phones too...went from verizon, to a tracphone ...it will save us about 50.00 a month...AND we get reception with the tracphone here when we didnt get it with the other...:cool1:

The only thing I wasnt thrilled to cut back on was my hot tub...as we emptied it and closed it down:guilty: ....I will miss it, but we can always fill it again when Mike gets another job...Hopefully soon...:confused3

Anyone need a "realtime software engineer"?

Im looking in the fields of, animal care, cashier, cook and the like. Unfortunately after not needing to work for over 30 years..I dont have much to put on an application..

Oh well...Im sure it will all work out in the end.

Anyway I hope you all have a good day:wizard:

Hey DWDQ's

Robin ~ It sounds like you picked up some bargains today. I'm going shopping with my friend on Saturday, so I hope I find some too

Betsy ~ :wizard: Good Luck to both you and Mike in your hunt for a new job. I know what you mean about work experience, I've been my mum's carer and a housewife for 10 years, so I wouldn't know where to start

Kelly ~ I hope you had a nice weekend

Well I'm tired, so I'll be off to bed in an hour or so. Enjoy the rest of your day :)

Good morning ladies.

It's an especially icky morning here today.

It is snowing lightly but the wind is quite heavy and the snow is blowing around everywhere:headache:

Ahhhhh, dreaming of warmer places :beach:

Yesterday Liz and I went to see the stage tour of So You Think You Can Dance Canada.

It was great:thumbsup2

Hey Girls

I hope you're all having a good day

Robin - I'm glad you enjoyed yourself at the show yesterday

Yesterday Becky & I went to see Bolt at the cinema. It was great, a typical good Disney movie - we both loved it

Enjoy the rest of your day :)

 Happy Friday Girls

Have you got any plans for the weekend ? Are you doing anything nice ?

I've had an easy day so far today. I did my supermarket shopping first thing, then the girls made a very pink, girly cake this afternoon

Paul & I will pop to the wine bar tonight, as Becky has got a couple of friends stopping round tonight. Then tomorrow I'm going to Birmingham on the train with my friend Natalie for a shopping day :)

Have a great weekend girls

Take care

I went for food today.

And now I think I'm going to go and eat some of it:thumbsup2

Hey DWDQ's

I hope you're all having a lovely weekend

I had a nice day shopping yesterday with my friend Nat. I bought a couple of Summer tops (just making a start on my holiday shopping - LOL) and we had a nice pub lunch too

Last night Paul & I went out for a meal, it was delish :thumbsup2

Enjoy the rest of the weekend girls :)

Hello everyone,
Im just here watching the snow, and waiting for the DGGs to show up.
I made a big pot of chicken soup...
The big plan for the day is to watch AI,:happytv: and eat chicken soup!
Exciting huh? :rotfl: LOL!

Mandy,
sounds like you had a nice time with your friend!:thumbsup2

Robin,
Not to much longer and you will be back in the sunshine again...:cool1:

Kelly,
I havent seen you on much, but Im hoping its because you are busy..

No jobs yet, but we are staying hopeful....:wizard:

Well I hope you all have a good Sunday!pixiedust:

G'day everyone.

It's a bright and sunshiny day here but quite chilly out in the wind.

Not the type of day for standing around outside for any length of time.

I've been out and done a few things and am now home doing some more things:lmao:

What's everyone else doing for excitement??

Dance classes for me tonight.

The dance teacher is gone away (she went to Florida last week for 2 weeks), but we are still practising without her.

:dance3:

It's kinda like the uncoordinated leading the other uncoordinateds.:rotfl2:

But we are doing the best we can to keep up with what we already now.

What one person doesn't remember another usually does.

Hi DWDQ's

Robin - Oh lucky you, I wish I was heading to Florida in a few days. Just to be in that lovely sunshine would be great (even if I couldn't get to WDW). Are you flying down ?

Betsy - I liked the sound of your weekend, I hope you had a great time with your DGKids

Kelly - Where are you ? We're missing you. I hope everyone is OK, come and say 'hi'

I've had a bit of a worrying time these last few days. My mum had a bad fall at the weekend. She already suffers with bad arthritis that she's had since her mid 30's, and she fell on her elbow (huge bruise and can't move it), hurt her other hand, bruised her knee and slightly caught her nose and forehead

Whenever she has operations, she usually bounces back quite quickly, but this fall has knocked her confidence too. She's hoping to be able to get her hair done on Thursday, so all being well I'll get her out, though she won't be able to carry anything

It wouldn't be so bad but I keep getting phone calls of my dad telling me that I'm not doing enough and that she's depressed, then when I go round, she's fine and planning a trip to town. It doesn't help that I've got a huge absess on my gum too, so I feel like crap today

Nevermind, hopefully I'll be in a better mood later

Have a good day girls :)

First to answer your question Mandy, we are driving down. It's a bit longer to drive than to get to WDW, a couple hours more I think.

5 people in a pick up truck:confused3 Might not be the most fun trip.

The other lady that is coming with us can sometimes be a bit of an annoyance:rolleyes:

Hopefully all will work out well.

So sorry to hear about your Mum.

It gets worrying when they get to that age doesn't it.

It's not nice of your dad to say what he did to you either.

But what are you gonna do:confused:

I try to remember that someday I might be old and I will probably be like that too.

Are you the only one there to take care of them? Any brothers or sisters. Although that really doesn't mean anything. Lots of people are more than happy to leave the care to someone else.

We got a call last week that my dad came out of his room at the home with a black eye and cuts on both ears:confused3

They reviewed security tapes but they could not find out what happened to him since they only watch the halls and not in the rooms.

So unless it was the man in the adjoining room (they share a bathroom) that attacked him, with all of them having Alzheimers, there is really no way of finding out.

 's to you Mandy. I hope your mum regains her confidence and starts to get back to her old way of life.

By the way, how old are your parents??

Oh yeah, I forgot.

 I hope YOU feel better soon too Mandy.

Mouth pain can really hurt and it does bring you down, doesn't it.

Find a patch of sunshine :sunny: if you can and sit in it for abit.

Sunshine always makes things feel better.:cool2:

 Hey Robin

Is there room for 6 in that truck ? :rotfl2: :rotfl2: as that's the only way I'll be seeing any sun for a few months :)

The problem with my parents is that they don't have any real friends. I have a brother who had a major fall out with them two years ago, and the only way he keeps in touch with me is with Christmas and Birthday cards for Kerry & Becky. I emailed him about mum's fall, but all I got was a 'sorry to hear about mum's fall' :confused3 :confused3 So the only people that my mum and dad concentrate on is me and my family (which can be hard work)

My mum is 69 and my dad is 65 and they are both quite young for their age (other than my mum's disabilities)

Sorry about your dad's injuries. How sad that he can't be safe in the home

Well the girls will be home from school/college soon, so that will cheer me up (as long as they don't have tons of washing for me to do :rotfl2: )

Take care

Sorry to hear about your brother too Mandy.

It's hard when those things happen in families.

I have 2 brothers but neither one of them really does much for my dad. I'm not sure they even go and see him at the home.

My one brother sees my mom almost everyday because he works from her house but he is planning on moving very far away in the next month or so.

So my mom will really miss his company.

I'm the one also who does the most for my parents.

Your parents are quite young still.

My parents are 73 (mom) and 75 (dad).

My mom still owns and operates her own business but she also does not have any real friends and relies on me a lot to keep her company.

Rick's parents are 77 (mom) and 80 (dad).

Rick's parents are much older in terms of the way they live than my mom is.

We don't see Rick's parents much because of a fall out that we had with them but we do still talk to them.

His mother has some mental illness problems and a few years back told us that our children were not being raised properly.

Children need guidance, not fancy Disney vacations:scared1: :scared1:

That was when they were well into their teenage years already. Kind of late now because they are what they are at that point.

Of course they are   's.

Aren't yours:rotfl2:
