My SIL (or ex SIL) or whatever she is seems to be doing okay. Even if she is an EX, she is always welcome to any gathering of our family and is not treated any differently than she was when she was officially a member.

She has finished with her chemo treatments and radiation too I think.

She was quite sick a week or two okay when she had her final treatment but seems to be doing well now. Except for the bloated look to her face and belly and the sparseness of her hair.

She ate well and generally seemed happy to be there.

Duster cannot remove decorations from the tree because there are none It is a fiber optic tree that has star shapes on it and this year that is the extent of the decorating on the tree.

I knew she probably wouldn't be able to leave things alone so I didn't bother with much decorating.

Our days have been riddled with winter weather too...
Happy Boxing Day BTW....
Our Christmas was a blast..except for a little incident, we had a small scare yesterday morning with my Mom...I went to go get her around 8 AM, and my driveway is a sheet of ice, but I normally can get up it. This time I only made it half way...Well I got mom out to walk the rest of the way..It was aparently too far for her, because she collaped on my arm, So Mike came a running and helped me get her into the house...BUT she was sooooo tired.
It took a few mins. for her to recover, but she was fine...Just scared the heck out of me...
We had a nice visit with her and I took her home around 1PM...She had had enough for the day..

We also had a first birthday party for Emily to go to at my DSs house last Sunday..

Wished I had stayed! I think it was busier than the days before Christmas!!

At least we got to see Marley & Me, it was a really good movie! It kinda started going flat a little towards the end... wasn't as funny as it had been most of the way thru.

Carolin went with a friend to watch Disney's new Bedtime Stories... she didn't get to watch the whole thing since her friend's extended family called saying a stepfather was in an accident.

They quickly left the theater and Carolin had a movie usher search for us in our theater... what a scare at that moment to see her looking for me. All is well with the stepfather, just a bad cut to the head.

Aw Betsy!! What a horrible moment that must have been! Glad she is doing much better!

Kelly, it's good to hear that Carolin's friends relative wasn't hurt badly. Must have been scary for a bit though.

We have had major snow meltage here yesterday and overnight.

I can see patches of green grass and the temperature is 51º right now.

The sun is shining

Expecting more rain maybe later today and tomorrow but for now

Tomorrow Rick and I are off to Chicago.

We are just going overnight and should be back at some point on Monday, probably late in the day.

Going to look at a machine. I'm not sure how he thinks he will pay for it...... but.... we are going to look anyway.

It's a very windy and chilly day here today in contrast to the nice warm temperatures we had yesterday.

But the snow is almost all gone after the beautiful day we had, so that is great.

Hope minor flooding has been a problem with all of the melting snow!

Today the temp have been around 75º <-- Look I remembered!! It's been nice but very breezy!!

It will be just Rick and I home tonight.

The kids both have overnight party plans.

So, Rick will be sleeping by nine and I will be awake to watch the ball drop, or whatever it is they do these days.

Although I hope I make it that long.

Liz was out of town yesterday and it started to snow. She was really really late getting home (around 5am).

It took her over 2 hours to make what is normally a one hour trip.

So of course I didn't sleep well, while waiting for her to get home safely.

Oh yeah, you will be proud of me.

I've done over 3 hours of exercise time on my new Wii Fit since Dec 25th

It IS a lot of fun, although I had a hard time with that silly boxing game
