7th January 2007, Dancing Queens Thread CONTINUED

Good morning ladies.

Yesterday we had our first signficant snowfall.

Enough snow to cover the grass and cars.

More is expected in the next few days but I'm hoping it will all melt soon so that I can finish raking up my leaves.

What is everyone doing today?

I have to go and do some more work on closing up the trailer and I have dance classes tonight.

I hope you had a great weekend. We did. Paul & I really enjoyed the Rugby match and staying over in Birmingham

Robin - Keep warm, it is grey and miserable over here. I like looking at the snow, but I hate being cold and being stuck in the house when it snows

Betsy - I hope you had a nice weekend

Hey everyone!!

We made it back safely! I'm so glad to be back, I hated the last flight of our trip. It was a small plane that sat 24 people, I'm pretty claustrophobic so I freaked out a little... CW did a great job calming me down. I cried and started sweating, I was waiting to be removed from the plane

It was a little embarrassing! I will avoid those flights at all cost from here on!

I hope you all are doing well!! And I hope you're having a wonderful day!

I've got the trailer pretty much finished up for the winter, although we are considering taking it to Florida at some point.

Don't know for sure if that will happen or not.

Kelly, glad that you are back safely.

Welcome home Kelly, I'm glad you got home safely. I don't like the sound of that small plane, I think I would freak out at being on one of those, and I love flying. What did you get up to ? Did you do any shopping ?

Robin ~ What a great idea to take the trailer down to Florida. It would certainly work out a lot cheaper than staying in a hotel. Lucky you if you are able to do that

Betsy ~ How are your Thanksgiving plans coming along ?

Well, all is quiet over here. I'm getting into cleaning mode, as I might put my Christmas tree up at the weekend

Good evening ladies

I have been cooking up a storm here, and its not for Thanksgiving either....I just got the bug, somehow... ...LOL

I have made a great crockpot, beef roast the other night, and then yesterday turned the leftovers into beef lentil soup..It turned out great!...

Then I made a couple of cakes, (coffee)...and tonight Ive made two pans of lasagna..Im gonna portion them up and freeze them for quick dinners...and home made applesauce....

and I think I already told you about the banana cakes...
It crazy!... ..Its like Suzy Homemaker bit me!...

I hope you are all well..and just too busy(like me) to post much...

Hi all!

Sorry I've been MIA around here! Carolin had an injury Monday night after cheerleading, we thought she was ok that night. Tuesday she started feeling pretty bad, the nurse called me to get her and take her to the dr office.

She had some xrays and was cleared. Still Wednesday she was feeling pretty miserable. Her coached spoke with me and told me the entire story of how she had hurt herself. (She's a base, the flier fell backwards... landed on her head, Carolin fell to the floor hitting her head and blacked out for a quick second). I would have taken her Monday night to the emergency room..

I spoke with my BIL who is in the medical field and he said she was ok for the night but to call her pediatrician first thing in the a.m.

I've just got a phone call... we are heading to the hospital for a head ct scan. She's ok... just need to make sure she doesn't need PT.

Off we go.. I'll chat later with you all!! Take care!

How scary that must be.

I hope by now that she is feeling a bit better.

Do they give you any results right away for those types of tests or do you have to wait forever like everything else.

Let us know as soon as you can how she is doing.

I've had a busy day here.

Dance classes, work etc.

It's quite windy and chilly and we are expecting a good bit of snow tonight.

I hope it does not actually happen.

I need it to warm up for just a few days (at the right time, of course).

I need to get a few things done before winter sets in for good.

Does anybody ever watch So You Think You Can Dance??

Right now there is a Canadian version going on for the first time.

Some of the American judges are making guest appearances.

Tonight they will be down to the final 6.

Liz and I just got tickets today for the road tour that will start in the new year

There's one really good looking young French Canadian guy on there that Liz is just itching to go and watch dance in person

Mornin ladies.

It's a bit chilly here this morning, windy as all get out but we did not get any snow last night

I just spent about half an hour or so outside putting out the garbage and filling bird feeders.

The temperature was great at the front of the house in the sun but the house backs onto a field facing north and the wind is just a whipping thru there.

It's feels about 20 degrees colder out back than it does out front.

It sounds pretty cold there...We have it cold here too,..right now 25 F, ( cant remember how to do the degree thingie)
but we have lots of sunshine right now..So from my livingroom window its not bad...Did I mention my fireplace is burning nicely and keeping me toasty....
AND I dont have to go out today....

Yesterday was a hard one for me...
I had to drive in snow all the way to my moms ...the roads were'nt that bad, but I hate driving in snow, especially the back country roads.
Did al my running in town with Mom and DGS, including quite a while in target shopping....I had a few extra stops also, so I end up running late ( I have to get mom back befor 4:30 for her dinnertime)...

It was 3:45, and I still had to drive to my DGSs and drop him off before I head to my Moms..It normally takes me 20 mins..just to get to my DGSs from town. From DGSs, it takes about 30 mins....to my Moms place...
I wont make it even if I pushed poor Doug out the door without stopping and chatting with Lori( which I wouldnt do..I always walk the kids in)...

Well I drove like the hounds of hell were after me...LOL...( safely of course )...and made it before they started to eat........
All I can say is....Thank god that old people move slow and it takes a LONG time to get them all seated and served...because I got there at 4:45..
and the last of them were just getting into the elevator to go down to the dinning room

Then when I get home I find a message on my AM saying I have meds to pick up at TARGET ..Man I was JUST there....
But thats OK, as I have to bring back the three shirts I bought for myself, because they were all teen/girls...NOT ladies shirts..
I hate it when they mix the two departments

One nice thing about it all, is Mike felt bad for me and said we could go tonight. That way, I get to stay home today as I had planned, and we can go out to eat for dinner too! ...I just love the way he thinks ....SOMETIME LOL

Well I guess I gave you all enought to read...Huh!
