I'm glad that you decided to find yourself another doctor.

Sometimes you just have to step up and take over.

I personally cannot stand my family doctor.

Family doctors are very very difficult to get here as there is a major shortage.

So I'm glad that I have one, but I'd happily change if the opportunity came available.

In our area, we have a hard time getting appointments with new doctors and dentists. We really lucked out, it's like she had a little angel guiding us this way!

My gut feeling on this is that all of the tests will come out fine... but I'm sure she'll have to go thru physical therapy.

We will all be hoping that that is all the treatment that she needs to get well again.

I wish I had the patience and the inclination to decorate like that.

Hey gals!! Thanks for the Thanksgiving wishes!! We did end up eating too much and unfortunately... I just ate too much leftovers for lunch! This isn't gonna help trying to get back into my clothes for the cruise.

Wednesday, I got really frustrated with Carolin's pediatrician. After a few phone calls concerning Carolin still in pain and not moving much, I decided to look for another doctor.

Kelly ~ It sounds like you had a great Thanksgiving, I'm glad you enjoyed it and ate too much

Carolin's new doctor sounds like he knows what he's talking about. I hope she is feeling back to normal very soon

Betsy ~ I hope your Thanksgiving went well too

Girls ~ I hope you're having a great weekend. Last night the girls went to see Simple Plan. Before the concert the band were signing their new CD in a record store, so we popped in and the girls were thrilled to meet them. They also really enjoyed the concert

Today Paul & I went down to London to see the England v New Zealand play rugby. England were rubbish, but we had a great day out

I've spent a good chunk of today outside trying to finish up some things while the sun is shining.

Actually it was a beautiful afternoon.

Good morning ladies

We had a great Thanksgiving, and I have been running around like crazy!
I have enjoyed WAY to much food the last week, and Im not so happy with the results..
Friday, Mike and I boiled up the left over turkey and made a BIG pot of soup, then brought it over to my eldest sons house for dinner.
It was a fun night, Lori(my DDIL) also had her parents there, and as Mike just happened to have his guitar with him ,we all sang Christmas carols!

The kids were really cute all dancing and singing along
I have pictures Ill try to get into my picasa, today.

I so glad you got a new Dr. that knows what he's doing...Im not a fan of Drs.,
I feel like Im just a no. and a paycheck to them...I have yet to meet one that contradicted that feeling.
I hope carolin, has a quick recovery..

Afternoon Mandy.

No our weather took a rainy/snowy turn yesterday and is still that way.

Here is it mainly just rain but it's also on the chilly side.

I'm not complaining because less than an hour away there is a ton of snow.

We seem to have missed most of the snow so far this year and I'm hoping it stays that way.

Morning everyone!

Carolin went to the specialist yesterday. He says she has suffered serious head trama. She took a test and scored very poorly, he asked if she had any learning disabilities... she doesn't... he was disturbed to hear she is an "A" student and had tested so bad.

During her examination, she had a hard time remembering things he asked her to remember like the words paper clip, ball and pen.

We are waiting for word on her ct scan to rule out any fractures before she begins physical therapy. She has been told no cheerleading for the rest of this year, which is ok with me considering that we were told if she receives another "bump" it could result in permant brain damage. I didn't realize things were this bad. They have prescribed some pain meds and muscle relaxers to help her with the pain.

Oh Kelly, what a worry. I really thought she'd bounce back quickly, but the results to that test sound scary

What did the doctor say about her recovery?

He said that she will recover from the head trama but slowly... depending on how much rest Carolin will allow her brain.

We're still waiting on the second part, if they find a slight fracture on her vertabrae... I'm not sure about the recovery on that.

Things will be fine, just need a little time and patience! After seeing some of the other children there... little miss is pretty lucky! We definately have counted our blessings!

Im on the run again today...Im helping my DGF plan a WDW trip...its her first and shes a bit overwelmed...Betsy to the rescue...LOL

I've had a nice day. We got up early this morning, as the Britney Spears concert dates were released this morning. So we've all got tickets for next June - I can't wait

I took my mum shopping this morning, and I've just got back from having my hair cut, as I'm going out for a meal with some friends on Saturday evening
