Liz and I were recently at what we call "The Dutch Store". Lots of Dutch immigrants around here, including Rick's parents, so they have a bit of home available to them.

While we were there Liz saw this nice little tea pot and cream and sugar set that she loved.

I went back and picked it up for her for Christmas.

That's my one and only purchase so far this year.

Betsy, sounds like you will be a busy girl cooking for all those people and also getting all of your Halloween stuff together.

Hi Girls

Well we had our first snow of the season today (yuck !!). I've never known it to snow so early in the Winter. It looked nice, but I hate feeling cold and wet, and I hope it doesn't mean that we're in for a bad Winter. I really need to win the lottery and move to Florida

Betsy - I'm not over keen on Hallowe'en, but I would love to live near you to try out some of those cookies and treats - they sound delish. I look forward to seeing a pic of Albert in his Bumble Bee outfit too

Robin - The teapot set sounds lovely, I'm sure that Liz will be thrilled with it

Kelly - Is Chad dressing up for the Hallowe'en party ? What is he going as ? I know what you mean about Carolin being too young for the party too. I had a big row with Becky over a party that I didn't want her to go to, so now I've got to have some of her friends round to stop on Friday night

Well, Mandy, you know what I always thought.

When the kids are hanging out at my house, I know where they are and what they are doing

I was willing to put up with them just for that reason.

Besides if you keep your ears open you will hear an awful lot that you wouldn't otherwise

Sorry to hear that you had some snow today.

We did too but it was so little that if you weren't paying attention real closely you would have missed it.

Good chilly morning ladies.

The wind is blowing like crazy again today

The sun is shining nicely though but I know it's chilly out.

I've got to get showered and go over and check out what needs to be done on the trailer to get ready to go away again.

We are headed off to our last weekend away for the season.

We are going to Ohio, not to far from Cincinnati.

We are leaving on Friday about noon and won't be back until later on Sunday evening.

The weather there looks nice for the weekend....... mid 60's and sunny.

Betsy, a question. Do you have your trailer winterized? You must I'm thinking so that the lines don't all freeze.

We need to get ours done right after we get back. The nights are getting quite chilly and we really dont' need broken water lines in the trailer to deal with along with all the other problems that we've had to fix so far this week.

We had snow again today...and it was pretty cold too....Have I ever told you all how much Im not fond of cold weather?.....LOL

Yes we have the trailer all winterized....It wasnt hard, because we didnt use the water this year...We didnt even get to take it out...I DO use it anyway...It sits at the top of my driveway. Not far from the house...So we use it for the kids...when they stay over from time to time...It really came in handy when my DS, and DIL (Mike, and Lori )had to used it when we had an ice storm last Christmas and they had to stay the night..

Next year we plan on doing weekend trips like you are doing...Mike just has to get the darn tow thing fixed...

Is the snow gone now?...Ours is still here...We didnt get much, but its sticking around...My car was coated with ice...
Dont worry...soon you will be on the road again to Fla...and sunshine...

Did Chad enjoy his party?....and did Caroline forgive you?...She will see you were right ...when shes a mom...and than out of the blue she will call you up and say ...Thanks To bad the turn around takes so long tho...LOL

It was a super windy and chilly day here today again.

I just stuck my head out the door a few minutes ago looking for my cats and I couldn't get over it.

It was so very still and quiet.

The whole world is silent out there right now.

Such a big change after all of that wind we've been having.

Betsy, I hope that you will be able to use your trailer next year.

Maybe Rick needs to look for a competition that is in your area and we can get together with you???

I'll talk to him about it.

Good Morning DWDQ's

How are you all today ? I hope you're having a lovely day

It's been super busy around here lately. Yesterday Kerry had 4 of her friends over for a sleepover, and they are all crashed out in the front room as I type this (it's only 8am)

Yesterday was Paul & my 20th Wedding Anniversary. Last night we went out for an Indian meal to celebrate (and to get away from all the girls ), I really hope that we're onboard the Disney Wonder to celebrate our 25th ~ well I can wish

Tomorrow Becky is going to a Hallowe'en party and a few of her friends are staying over, so we'll have a busy night again.

I think I'll be glad when they're back to school on Monday, it's exhausting having them off for a week

Anyway I'm off to take my mum to get her hair cut this morning, so I'll catch you later

Hi Betsy, Mandy & Robin! If my post makes no sense, I'm sorry. I'm feeling pretty weak after being hit with a nasty flu Monday afternoon. Feel better today, just extremely tired!!!!!

Hope Becky enjoys her get together tomorrow!

Chad can't make up his mind what he wants to do tomorrow night and Carolin hasn't said anymore about us taking her anywhere... i'm sure they will hit us with their plans tonight.

Chad has decided not to dress up. I told him if he changed his mind I could dress him as "Joe the Plumber" last minute... For anyone who doesn't know him, he has become an instant celeb thanks to our media during our election year.

Chad had a cool football game last nite. I insisted on going even being sick, I figured he would either get hurt or do something great and I wouldn't be there. Well... thank the Lord he did something great. He scored a touchdown and played the majority of the game several posiitions.

I hope everyone is doing greeat! My eyes are crossing so I'm going to stop typing. I'll chat tomorrow when I making since. Take care!

Friday nite, the kids decided to stay home! We rented "The Happening" hoping for a good scare, the kids weren't impressed.. It was still a nice night!

We also finished our last two outdoor games, BUT found out our indoor games start this weekend. YIKES!! I thought we had a break! At least we ended the season with 7 W - 1 L!

All is quiet over here. Becky had some friends over for a sleepover on Friday night, Kerry was working all weekend, and Paul & I went to see the new James Bond movie (though I wish I hadn't bothered)

This week is going to be quiet, but on Saturday I'm going Christmas shopping with my friend Natalie, as we're going to a new shopping centre that recently opened
