7th January 2007, Dancing Queens Thread CONTINUED

Hey DWDQ's

Sorry I've been MIA today, it's been a bit stressful over here

Did you read about the travel company XL going bust ? Well we had our New Year trip booked with them. So we have been spending all day trying to sort out new flights. It's been a real pain as the prices were going up all day and a lot of flights sold out. Anyway, we have managed to get some flights, but we're going to have to fly to Miami and drive up to WDW

Anyhoo, I promise to catch up tomorrow

Kelly - I am so pleased that you have booked into the Pop Century, I can't wait to meet up with you again

Aw, Mandy, what a pain in the youknowwhat:sad2:

Happy to hear that you have it sorted though.

The drive to and from Miami will not be too bad although it does add about 3 hours on the beginning and end of your trip I think.

I am off ladies.

Have a great weekend and I will check in on my return

Same here, Kerry!! :goodvibes

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! We off to Chad's soccer game! Take care!:grouphug:

hi all.

just a quick stop at home,

we are under the wrath of hurricane hannah,

it is pouring buckets :umbrella:

no captals i have a kitten holding down one arm,

Hey DWDQ's

 I forgot to thank you for reading my trip reports and leaving your nice comments

Robin - Did you still get away ? even with Hurricane Hanna passing through ?:confused3

Betsy - Have you got some of your grandkids over today ? Have fun with them :thumbsup2

Kelly - Are all your family staying at the Pop Century too ? I hope Chad's soccer game went well and that he scored :)

Paul & I went to Birmingham yesterday and stayed over. We had a lovely time and we went out for a very nice Thai meal last night. The girls had their friend over for a sleepover, so they had a fun evening too :)

Have a great weekend everyone :)

 Home again.

Yesterday was pretty much a washout with all of the rain that we got.

Today was a much nicer day but they had totally cancelled the competition yesterday and did not go on with it today.

There was a bit of flying in today and it didn't start to train until about 3:30 or so.

We are expecting a ton of rain again today and tonight. :sad2:

We actually left our trailer at the airplane club because the area was so wet we didn't want to make big ruts in the grass by pulling that heavy righ out of there.

We'll go back later in the middle of the week and pick it up again.

Hey DWDQ's

I hope you are all well today :)

Robin - I hope it starts to dry up for you soon, I hate the rain, it's rained nearly everyday here all Summer

Kelly & Betsy - Hi :)

Morning ladies.

It has stopped raining finally.

Yesterday was dry and a bit of sun occasionally.

Now it's not supposed to rain again until Sunday.

Sunshine but a bit cooler temperatures are expected.

Not much new and exciting going on around here these days.

Just counting down the days until we get to go to Disney again :woohoo:

Oh yeah, I forgot something exciting.

I found a code for the POP Century yesterday. I need to call today and get it applied to my reservation. It should save we almost $28.00 for ONE night:yay:

Hi ya ladies!

Hey Robin... what code did ya find? Is it just for you or is it open to others? Glad to hear you've got sunshine your way. Have you started packing?

Mandy, it's just us this time... do you know what part of Pop you're staying in? Chad's game went really well! I'm very proud of how he played... he scored 4 goals, he kept talking about a hat trick. I thought it was some kind of trick he did to get his last goal...:rotfl: CW had to explain it to me

Betsy, hope you are doing well!!

Hey DWDQ's

Robin - Well done on getting a code, every little bit helps :thumbsup2 I love the Pop Century

Kelly - LOL, did Chad get to keep the football, as in the professional games, when someone scores a hat-trick (3 goals) they get to keep the match ball :) Well done Chad

When we check in at the Pop, we always request to stay in the 90's building, near the Computer Pool. I like it there as it's a lot quieter than being near the food court. We'll probably have the laptop with us, so we will let you know where we are and our room number ~ we can't wait to see you all

Betsy - I hope you had a nice weekend, what have you been up to today ?

Kelly, I saw a code mentioned somewhere, I think on the resort boards and I went looking for it on the Disney site.

It is a code for Fall vacations, MKX.

It lowered my price at the POP Century from $105 down to $77.00:thumbsup2

Anybody can use the code and I did call and ask them to apply it to my reservation this afternoon and she did.

I like the POP Century too Mandy and we are also usually over near the computer pool, 90's area.

We don't ask for it but they always seem to put us there for some reason.

Of course I have only ever stayed at the POP Century so I'm sure the other places are nice too.

Morning all.....

I was busy yesterday mowing my yard..

Hi there Disney Wonder Dancing Queens

How are you all today ?

All is well over here. Kerry and Becky have settled well back into college and school and I'm pretty much back to my old routine

I've had a busy day today. This morning I went into town and bought myself some trousers (ughh, don't you hate having to buy Winter clothing ?) and some earrings for our DIS Girly Weekend to Cardiff in 9 days time. I came home and cut the grass out the front (the back garden in too long for me, so I'll happily leave that for Paul ;) ), I hoovered up in all the rooms upstairs and then I washed my hair and tried on all the clothes I'm taking away to Cardiff :)

There's about 12 of us going away for that weekend, and we can't wait. It's going to be a weekend of eating, drinking and shopping ~ woohoo !!

Betsy ~ When can you start making your ressies for Hawaii, you must be so excited

Robin ~ Oooh, another day closer to your Cruise. I'm so jealous, I wish I was there with you

Kelly ~ What plans have you made for your New Year trip ? and did you sisters book their wedding/vow renewal for the Cruise ?

Have a great day girls :)

You were a busy lady yesterday Mandy.

I was busy too but not quite as ambitious as you:thumbsup2

We are having a nice long stretch of sunshine days (as far as the weather report shows and that's to the end of next week :sunny: )

Yesterday was quite hot too but the forecast is for mid 70's temps, so it should be great around here for the next while and then I will be off to the cruise where the forecast is for rain:lmao:

Have a great day today.

I'll pass on the congrats to Chad! :thumbsup2 They scooped up the ball after the game, the balls belong to the coach... but if they can figure out which one it is, I'm sure Chad will sneak it out of the bag! :lmao: It's good to be the coach's son!:goodvibes

Is the 90's building a preferred area or standard? I booked a preferred room. I almost booked a standard room but I didn't know how far apart everything is.

What plans have you made for your New Year trip ? and did you sisters book their wedding/vow renewal for the Cruise ?

The only thing we are sure about at this point is staying at the Pop 1/1 - 1/4 then staying off site at Grand Beach Resort 1/8 - 1/11. The days we aren't cruising will be at WDW park hopping!:cool1:

No weddings or vowel renewals...:guilty: Youngest DS decided to push the wedding back to save up more $$ and the other decided to wait until the next cruise.

Nice!!:thumbsup2 Isn't it great to save money like that?!

Do they send anything in the mail after you book?

Morning all.....

I have also been feeding my Hawaiian obsession, even though I cant make any res's, I can still plan and dream about going...

Betsy... you ought to literally feed your Hawaiian obsession by having a luau for just the two of you!

Put on some hawaiian music, have candles (or mini tiki torches), flower leis, and delicious hawaiian foods! Yummy!!

Enjoy the nice weather Robin, I hope it continues in the Bahamas :)

No the 90's area is a standard room. The preferred area is near the big pool and food court, but you'll still only be 5 minutes away

Your plans sound great. What a shame there's no weddings this time, though you'll still have a fab time :thumbsup2

Hi Betsy ~ I hope all is good with you :)
