7th January 2007, Dancing Queens Thread CONTINUED

I've added a link on the old thread to this one to make it easy for everyone to find it.

Hey Mandy.

It's kind of sad to lose the old thread.

We lost the Threadkiller thread a week or so ago:sad1:

The boards used to be run this way a few years back and then they changed their minds, just as the threadkiller thread was reaching the page limit.

But at least we are allowed to start a new one.

Where is this thread anyways??

Guess I will have to figure it out when I'm done posting.

Well hello everyone..

I see we are moving.....Oh well....:confused3

At least we are still linked to the other...;)

Busy weekend, last weekend,....

Did shopping on Sat..(I found a really nice cedar gazabo type birdfeeder for halfprice:cool1: ($30.00s off:goodvibes ))....and on Sunday...we took the girls out to dinner, (pizza) and replaced Brittany's fish that died....:thumbsup2

Well, got to start my day...:teleport:

Yesterday I went with my mom to visit my dad in the nursing home.

My mother asked him if he knew who she was and he says...... yes, you are my wife.

Then she asked if he knew who I was and he said I was his daughter. He actually called me by name

Small thing I know but made us feel good.

My mom mentioned that my son Alex had been on my dad's floor doing a patient transfer but grandpa was sleeping so he didn't wake him up.

Mom asked him if he remembered who Alex was and he said......... he's my grandson.

He also recognized Liz's name and he mentioned another grandson's name too.

This was all great but he still could not carry on any conversation that made sense to the time or place.

He was telling us about moving siding around and throwing things in the junk etc.

Oh, well, just nice to know that he actually knew who we were.

Hey Girls - Welcome to our new home :)

Betsy, it sounds like you've had a busy weekend - but fun too :thumbsup2

 Aww how lovely Robin, and it's always the small things that can make our day. Paul's elderly aunt always gets his name wrong, and when she gets something in her head, she then tells you it over and over again. It's so sad to see someone who once was the backbone of the family is now so frail and confused

I've just had my usual 'run everyone around Monday', where I take my mum shopping, run the girls around and I now look forward to an evening of DISing and watching TV

Have a great day everyone

Okay, I have survived the inital part of the toothpulling ordeal.

The tooth is out and I'm back home again.

The tooth actually came out quite easily.

I didn't feel so good right afterwards though, thought I was going to pass out.

So I had to sit there for quite some time before they would let me leave.

Now I can look forward to the part where the freezing all comes out:scared:

Yay, something to look forward to tonight.

:sad2:

Oh Robin, I don't envy you being at the dentist today. At least the tooth is out now - just make sure you've got plenty of painkillers for later

Robin - Just a quick question, did you book your next Cruise while you were onboard ? :)

Just took a pain killer less than an hour ago and I have the kids laughing at me like crazy.

They are making me just a tiny little bit loopy:lmao:

My head feels fuzzy.

And the words aren't coming out right sometimes.

So if I type weird things you will know why:rotfl2:

Robin - Just a quick question, did you book your next Cruise while you were onboard ? :)

No we did not rebook onboard but I sure wish that we had.

I could use something to look forward to.

I thought you were heading back to Florida in a few weeks time Robin :confused3 or did I dream that (I sometimes have a very over active imagination :rotfl2: :rotfl2: )

Oops you are right....

told you I was a bit loopy.:rotfl2:

I guess I meant that I like to have a cruise to look forward to :boat:

Actually I'm not 100 percent sure that I am going to Florida again.

I'd like to go though but will have to wait for a final decision to be made.

If I go I will be heading to the Miami area for about 6 or 7 days, driving because we have to transport model airplanes.

But I'm not sure that there will be enough room in the van for 2 guys, 2 large airplanes and me also:confused3

Hey Robin, are you still feeling a bit loopy today ? :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I hope you're not in too much pain

Have a great day everyone

Hey Mandy. No I'm not feeling loopy today;)

Actually I had a bad night, not with tooth pain because that really doesn't hurt much, aches a bit every now and then but nothing that I can't handle.

I woke up about 5:30 feeling like I was going to pass out and/or throw up.

I spent a couple hours sleeping on the bathroom floor after that cause I didn't think that I could get myself up.

I text messaged my nurse from upstairs :rotfl2: She came down to check on me and brought me extra blankets and a pillow for my bathroom floor bed.

I got up and went back to my recliner chair about 7 or so and slept til 9:30 where once again I felt the same. This time I did manage to throw up but only once.

I don't know if the sickness was because of the tooth pulling, a reaction to the Tylenol 3 painkillers I was taking, or something totally unrelated :confused3

I spent most of today sleeping :cat:

So far so good Mandy.

I only slept for 11 hours last night;)

Once I got up to let the cat out and discovered that the carpet in the basement is wet:headache:

We have had a huge amount of rain the past day and that sometimes happens when the rain is too much for the eavestroughs to handle:mad:

Now we are expecting freezing rain and then some heavy snow to follow that.

Everytime that darn snow melts away, some more comes along to take it's place.

I have been sooo sad since Monday....:sad1:

I couldn't find you guys... then duh!!! I went back to our old thread and found the link!:sad2: The blonde highlights in my hair are starting to get to me...:rolleyes1

Hope everyone had a great weekend! We celebrated Chad's birthday last night, a little late... but he's happy:goodvibes

Hey Girls

Robin - I'm pleased that you're better today. What a nuisance about the wet carpet - I bet you can't wait till the Summer and all that lovely warm weather.

Kelly - I hope Chad had a great birthday, what presents does a teenage lad ask for these days ? Don't let those blonde highlights get to ya Kelly, we're here and ready to carry on the Disney Wonder Dancing Queens thread :dance3:

Betsy - Hi there, I hope you're OK

Have a great day everyone :)
