No we haven't Kelly, in fact we've only had one weekend away without them (and that was because they were away with their youth club)

Good Monday Morning girls!

It looks like we are going to get a cloudy day here, but thats OK..I have no outdoor plans today...just cleaning the house! Oh and the normal laundry to do, after a weekend with the girls and their play clothes..( its easier to have a set of play clothes for them here so they dont have to remember to bring everything when they come...as we bring them right from church ,and they have their good clothes on )

Well we had a good weekend ...it was alot of fun....
On Sat. we went Hourseback riding...It was nice. Amber(my DGD)really enjoyed it!...I would have liked to go a little faster then a slogging walk, but I know this is not something they will do....These trail places have to be careful. A complete novice could probably fall off pretty easily, even at a slow trot or fast walk. Amber has ridden my horses, so she could have done faster, but it was a hot day, and I felt bad for the horses, so I let it go..and didnt try to get them to speed it up a bit....The scenery was beautiful...and I took lots of pics..I even felt safe turning in my saddle( thats how slow these horses were going)to get some shots behind me...I was kind of funny ...because I didnt even have to hold the raines..they would just plant their nose right behind the horse in front of them and follow....I even stopped my horse for a sec.(to fix my stirrup.)...and then tried to trot to catch up...there was NO way this horse was going to trot with out serious, effort on my part....

and then on Sunday....We went to the lake and Mike finished up on the plumbing we started last weekend .....The girls and I went swimming... I took the kayak, and Albert and I hung out in the kayak..while we lifeguarded the twins....the older girls had a good time in the paddle boat , guy watching!

So all in all in turned out to be a very fun weekend!...

How was everyone elses weekend?....

We had a nice weekend too, we went to see Transformers on Friday night (which was better than I expected) and on Saturday lunchtime we went for a Chinese meal with Paul's dad, and his sister & family

I have heard "Transformers" was good ...but I havent gotten Mike to give it a try...so I will have to wait until it comes out in DVD...

The last movie we saw ..was a week or so ago...."No reservation's"...It was a good movie.....Mike even said it was OK..So It couldnt have been to much of a chic-flic...It had that little girl in it from "Little Miss Sunshine"...Another really good movie!..

:wave Hi all.

We have arrived safely home again.

Rick did well at this competition. He took first place in his category.

I also won a DVD player in a raffle. I was hoping to win a new BBQ since I have 2 DVD players already but heck I was happy to just win something

They also have prizes for all of the pilots that they have a draw with. Rick got a 100 gasoline gift card and a small Black and Decker sander of some sort.

So we had a profitable weekend.

The weather has been hot and steamy where I've been and more of it is expected for the next week or so.

I'm tired now, so I'll talk to you guys later.

Hey girls!

Robin... to Rick for taking the top spot in the competition! And to you on your winnings!! You may want to try the lottery soon since you guys are on a hot winning streak!

Betsy... have you recooperated (-sp?) from your weekend? From the looks of it, I'm sure you had a blast!! Horseback riding, kayaking... that sounds like my kinda weekend

Mandy... CW talked me into going to watch the Transformers since he had Chad and a few other of his soccer guys with him. I really wasn't expecting alot out of it either but I was pleasantly suprised as well! Sounds like you had a great weekend as well!

We, unfortunately, had a not-so-hot weekend Friday started out good but Sunday ended on a bad note... Jimmy has gone ahead and moved back in to his mom's with the permission of the state.

Saturday nite we got a phone call from the state of Maryland that he had been arrested for possesion of a conceiled weapon (which turned out to be some collector's knives that his mom had bought him). He was stopped for speeding then the officer asked to search his car and found the items.

To make the long story short... this was the third time in 3 weeks that he has done something dangerous/illegal! CW and I had a hard time requesting that he pack up... but we had to look out for the younger ones in the household. Jimmy seemed to be pretty happy yesterday when he left. He was suppose to signed papers today to become emancipated (which would have taken a few weeks). We all hugged and laughed, then said our goodbyes.

Sure I have some pictures but I don't know how exciting they are.

None of me though because I was the one in possession of the camera.

Kelly, I hope that Jimmy can turn himself around and straighten his life out again.

I certainly can understand why he had to go when you had the other children to consider. That doesn't mean that it doesn't hurt to let him go.

Teenagers They have a way of acting first and thinking about it later sometimes

Sorry to hear that Jimmy has moved away, I know you saw it coming, but it must've been an emotional time for you all. At the end of the day, you did your best for him and I'm sure he knows what a great time he had with your lovely family

Now it's up to him, he has to make his own decisions in life now - and I wish him the very best and lots of luck for the future

I hope you have some very special memories of his time with you all
