Thanks so much; but my DH is Mike; Ann's DH is Tom.
Mike and I are going out to dinner at a nice restaurant tomorrow night. I'm looking forward to a night out with just us.

I had a terrible feeling when I logged off Friday that I didn't match the right couple I'm sorry! CW had kept me on trying to figure out his suprise.... that's my excuse

CW ended up taking me to Ocean City which is a big summer resort area on the beach. We dined watching the sunrise on the water then hung out on the boardwalk area, just the two of us! It was a great birthday date

We got to the competition and back safely. Wish I could say the same for Rick's airplane.

He managed to hit a tree with it on landing

He was extremely lucky because his plane is made out of fibreglass and most are made out of balsa wood. Because of that his plane actually was still able to fly and land safely.

It IS broken though and needs to be repaired. But a balsa wood airplane would be reduced back into "model kit" form if it took the same hit.

Other than that it was a nice weekend.

I had all the kids over yesterday for my birthday, as its not til wedsday...and not the easiest day to get everyone together...
It was very nice....Bur I ended up eating all the bad stuff...and I am now WAY..off my mark..weight wise...

Its too bad about the plan crash...good thing its fixable....does this take him out of the rest of the season?...or can he fix it fast?,,,Oh or does he have more then one...?......

We have been there and its beautiful there...What a great date!...

Sounds like you had a very nice pre birthday celebration Betsy.

I hear ya about the weight problem. I keep telling myself I've got to get back into weight-loss mode but so far... nothin

Rick does have more than one plane but the others are not competition style planes.

Other guys told him he should be able to fix the plane in a couple of hours.

Rick hates to build/work on airplanes though so he will have to get motivated in order to get it ready for the next competition.

My day has been pretty good...We have had sun and I was expecting rain...So thats something!
I got around my shed cleaned up...I just hate the way things get piled or leaned up against it..and they sit there with the grass growing around them....(Im guilty on this too)...and I got tired of looking at it so..I cleaned it up....and now all I have to do is mow there....But I cant get the mower started ....SSSSoooooooooIt will all have to wait until Mike gets home... ...

But thats OK too, because I was getting tired. ..So it was a good excuse to stop!

I guess that I have had a busy day so far since this is the first chance that I've had to sit down and post here

I'm getting ready to take Liz to her summer job at camp.

We will be leaving tomorrow morning and I will be returning by myself on Thursday sometime.

Approx drive time is 7 hours one way.

So I'll be gone again for a couple of days.

Just popping in to say thanks and I had a very nice day....Mike took the day off and we had lunch with a good friend, who I dont get to see often...

Then just spent time with each other... ..which is something we dont get to do alot anymore...
So it was a good birthday....

Now its back to the norm, and its my Thurs. lunch day, but after the way Ive been eating, I wont be ordering, anything good... just a plain ol salad for me today


What are you plans today Kelly?
besides picking up Chad , I just know you will give him a great big hug, when you see him again! and Im sure he missed you too! Being a boy, he may not want to admit it, but believe me, he did!

I know Robin is busy with the camp stuff....Safe trip Robin

We got back with Chad a little while ago! He is dead tired, but had a blast. He said they worked them from sun up to sun down

Just wanted to let you know that we had a successful trip.

Both of my kids are now working as nurses at the camp

It was a long drive but everything went smoothly and I am back home safely once again.

Kelly, you've just gotten Chad back and I have an "empty nest" at my house for the next three weeks.

It's gonna be pretty darn quiet around here

I just read on the Canadian board that Disney no longer takes your passport nor do you have to get up at that awful time of the morning to clear immigration

I was just wanting to get your confirmation on this.

Please say it is true

Hey Girls, we're home

We landed this morning, I've had a little kip, emptied our suitcases and put my first load of washing on

We've had a great time, the weather has been fab, and the parks and the Pop Century were great too. Our Cruise was fab too, though we did spend a lot of time thinking about our wonderful memories with you. In Studio Sea I could picture 'The Sisters' and Betsy doing karaoke, whenever I saw those huge beer glasses I thought of Mary and Sue, then I could remember Robin and Mike in the Promenade Lounge doing the quiz and then of course there was Wavebands where the Disney Wonder Dancing Queens all hung out

We hadn't arranged to meet up with anyone (I only chatted on the thread for a few weeks, so didn't really get to know them well). The Cruise was a great way to break up our time at the Parks and we had some lovely meals, especially dinner at Palos, which was amazing

Yes Robin, you no longer have to hand your passport over when you check-in, on the last morning you get up when you're ready and when you pick your cases up, you just have to show your passports to the guys set up there - it was brilliant not having to get up for 6am on the last morning

The Sunday before our Cruise, we went down to Cocoa Beach to see the Disney Wonder set sail for the 4 nighter, we took some great photos and video, but we had to leave quickley as the sky became very dark and there was a tornado warning on the radio (which thankfully came to nothing)

I'll let you know when I start my trip reports so you can see how we got on

Kelly and Betsy, I'm so pleased that you got your birthday cards on time, and that you liked the addition of Paul to the Village People picture - and I'm pleased that you both had a great birthday too

Good morning everyone.

Everybody have a good weekend.

I accomplished a lot yesterday. Pulled a ton of weeds and did some straightening in the house.

Saturday I went with my mom to a small town fair, you know the kind with animals and exhibitions of handwriting and quilting and flower arranging and stuff.

Then we went to the casino that was next door.

My mom won $24.00 and took me out to lunch.

Saw Liz's first major boyfriend Saturday. He was working at the casino. He has grown up into a very good looking young man. Had a nice little chat with him too.

I have two cats to take to the vet today but first I must shower and have breakfast and hope that one of the cats decides to come home before it's vet appointment time

So glad you are home safe and sound and that you had a great trip!

Isnt Palos good!....I really enjoyed it when we went there, but the company is what made it so nice.....the food was great, but you can get good food anywhere, but good company is not always so easy to find.....We lucked out!

It is a mowing

and day for me today....
