Well, I'm all caught up, had 6 pages to go back through!! Everyone sounds inspired to lose a few lbs, even if there are some of us who may not reach our weight loss goals, hopefully we will all have a good time and develop a few good habits for better health in general.

I have not really exercised since Sunday. BAD ME!! But, Sundays weapons workout was pretty good! Monday I did something better than exercise....I sent out Mine, Eric's, & Cora's passport!!!   They're in the mail! Kayla's passport arrived last week, can't remember if I told you guys. Wednesday I went shopping with my Mother in law in her new car. She bought a new Toyota Avalon. It's pretty nice. I liked her other car better. She had a 2003 Buick Park Avenue. Now that was a nice car. She offered to let me buy it frim her. It only had 25,000 miles on it. I said no thinking that I need to focus on paying off the cruise and saving for the after bill on my credit card and saving for a down payment on a new car in May. But now I'm kicking myself in the butt. They gave her $12,000 for her car...that car is perfect, she's the only owner and kept it impecably clean. Story of my life. :guilty: :teeth: Today is TKD day. Class is from 4:30-6:30 and we get home around 7. I don't usually eat supper after we get home, but I do have a drink or two. Maybe I'll try to sneak in a snack before I go to class. Tomorrow the kids has assembly at school in the morning so I'll go to that, then run to the store to pickup a few things, then I'll come home and take Cooper for a walk. We walk about 3 miles, takes us about 35 mins, there's a big hill, going down is easy, coming up?? not so much! :bitelip:

Well, I'm off to get some lunch and finish the laundry. I'm gonna have a chicken breast tenderloin drizzled with light thousand Island dressing, cantaloupe (technically it's musk melon) and a 1/2L of water. Hope everyone has a great day-even if it is a rainy one!

Suzi-glad to hear your mom is doing well, please tell her we are all thinking about her and keeping her in our thoughts! :grouphug:

:yay:GREAT!! :yay:

At least your doing something, some of us (namely me) were just sitting around watching tv and snacking after getting home from work popcorn:: :guilty:

I feel a little better about myself after changing my eating habits and drinking more H20!

How cool.

Thanks for pointing that out Betsy.

No flying problems in this house :teeth:

Unless of course you consider the fact that we all like window seats. :sad2:

Now I've gotten so that when I can pick out our own seats on the planes I will pick all window seats :lmao: Yup, that's right folks, we sit separately on the airplane so that we can look out the window :rotfl: Less arguments that way :smooth:

I don't think we will be planning any excursions on this cruise. Been there too many time to be bothered. Maybe we will get off the ship in Nassau :confused3 Don't know for sure yet. Might take a taxi over to Atlantis for a bit and look at the aquarium.

I always get off at Castaway Cay. Rick stays onboards and watches a movie or something and then he comes and finds me at Serenity Bay and we go to Cookies together for lunch.

After lunch, he's off back to the ship and I'm heading back to the beach :beach:

Hi Robin

I hope one day to fight over a window seat!! Right now, we fight to see who has to drive :rotfl2:

I'm looking forward to CC & the day at sea! Atlantis is on our minds and maybe the stingray thing. I think we'll pick one, I'd like to stay on the ship as much as possible :goodvibes

Off to grab a bite! Be back soon!

I think I still have to go back and read 4 pages! you folks are quick!

I haven't exercised, but hoping to put in an hour today. First I have to get the dreaded house cleaned in case they need to show it. I let it go yesterday because I pulled out 5 huge containers of kids clothes to sell at a consignment sale. I actually started Tuesday. The deadline kinda snuck up on me, the clothes were due in by 6 pm last night. SO I gues I got about 2 containers of nice clothes put on hangers and tagged. Another container ended up having my clothes in it, and I have one full container to give to charity, and I just pooped out before the last container :rotfl: . That's what I get for deciding at the last minute to get some $$$ for the kids clothes. I have about 5 pieces I'd like to ebay. Yeah, like that will happen  I can always hope.

So today, I'm cleaning, gonna take a long walk with the 2.5 year old in the stroller, and in general just planning to be good to myself.

I have been struggling with migraines, so I'm hopeful that our little challenge will help there too...more water, less diet dr. pepper, more exercise, etc.

Here's a couple things I've found already that make eating better easier: lean cuisine grilled chicken and penne pasta -- the entree version includes baked apples...yummmmm(a clerk at the grocery even told me she loves it!) SlimFast Optima bars in chocolate brownie...chocolate fix, meant to be a meal on the go....fresh grapes (Costco has some great ones), clementines, grilled chicken salad and microwave light popcorn.

Anyone ever do weight watchers? I have the information from the last time I went on it (which was a few weeks before I found out I was PG!) I need a refresher course, but just cannot afford it right now.

Okay, here's my sad news and it sent me into a funk yesterady :guilty: . DH is considering teaching THIS JANUARY. I'm royally upset. He has Unil OCT 8 -- cause once that final payment's in I'm going on this cruise!! I don't even think he put the 2 together...he was just thinking more $$$. I guess I'm gonna have to get the house in order and start marketing my services as a travel plannner/agent more. Maybe the extra commission would offset his desire to teach for extra funds.

Okay, sorry I was so long...I promise to catch up on the thread later. Knowing you guys are here really helps. :grouphug: I'm really looking forward to our cruise. I'm Sending out my passport stuff tomorrow. All I lack is the photo, gonna take it and then go to the PO that allows applications nearby. (I'm so glad I live in a bigger city!) :)

Happy Thursday all
jennifer

  Woohoo !! that's one less thing to worry about

Today it has poured all day with thunder and lightning, it really is beginning to feel like Autumn now. So, I stayed in and did my workout dvd

Then this afternoon I cleaned the house from top to bottom as my friend (who I met through the Dis) is coming over in the morning (woohoo !! a morning of chatting about Disney)

Jennifer ~ Sorry to hear that you have been suffering from migraines, I really hope that your change in diet helps

So, are you saying that this could affect your cruise ? Oh I really hope it doesn't ~ when will you know for sure ? I'll keep my fingers crossed for you

I hope you all have a good day

Mandy :)

Hi Guys

I thought I'd ask you lot first, as you all seem to know your stuff when it comes to the Cruise.

We've never been to Palo before, and I've been looking at the Palo Brunch and High Tea menus on the Castaway Club site. Do you know if the Brunch and High Teas are on everyday or just certain days ?? Also do you pay extra for these ?

I must say that the High Tea looks delicious, and I can just picture me and Paul enjoying this

Thanks

Mandy :)

Cleaning burns calories too! So don't count that out, I've posted a website below... check out how much you can burn in an hour & compare it to a slow paced walk :goodvibes

Hope your migranes get better and :wizard: :wizard: on DH's decision. We are here for ya! :grouphug:

Maybe someone can give you more info, but in the meantime... this is what I found:

It's over 2 yrs. old though...

Mandy, this will be our 8th Disney Cruise and we have never once eaten in Palo in all this time.

We did the ship tour last time and actually got a look at Palo though :teeth:

So I can't give you a personal accounting but I do believe there is an extra charge for all Palo activities.

I just went to my first 50+ dance/exercise class this afternoon :p

It was actually a lot of fun, although I'm the youngest in there by far. That's okay because in my other dance classes I'm the oldest by a long ways. :thumbsup2

Now I have to go and have a shower before I can go to dance classes tonight. :rolleyes1

BUT I added an extra hour to my exercise total so far today and hopefully more to come tonight. :dance3:

I think they have increased the fee to $20 per person for dinner.

Last I heard, High Tea was only offered on the 7 day (hope I'm wrong). Brunch is usually only on the AT SEA day.

I can't wait to eat at PALO. IN fact, I toyed with the idea of skipping the dining room all together and forking out $40 each night plus tip for PALO. But, I think anything gets old, and 1 trip will be enough.

Hi guys,

I think its $10 for palo brunch or dinner.I too heard its on the sea day .
I also heard it was fabulous..I started a thread a few weeks ago..asking about it and EVERYONE who answered said its a NOT miss...

Im going to try to go myself...I think its perfect because you can try palo without missing a dinning night...

Didnt even know about the high tea.. :confused3

Robin - it's amazing how many times you can go on the cruise and have not done everything

Mandy :)

Yes it is amazing isn't it.

We still find different things to do, or spots to see on the ship every time we go.

Mandy, you might have answered this before but how do you and your family get to the port from the POP Century?

Are you using Disney Transportation?

Anybody else want to answer this question for me :confused3

Usually we rent a car but then you have to pay for the car and also the parking at the terminal.

We could use Disney Transportation but it gets you to the ship way too late for my taste.

I'm just trying to figure out how we should do it this time.

We'll have a car while we're there. I can understand your dilemma, I assume the bus would be free (but wouldn't get you there till the afternoon) or you'd have to pay for a car and parking ~ tough one :thumbsup2

Thanks for your insights on Palo everyone, I think we're definately going to give it a try

Mandy :)

No, the bus to the ship and back is definitely not free.

I'm not sure how much it is but somewhere around $60 per person I think. I'd have to look it up.

Is today official weigh-in day :confused3

If it is, I am down 1 1/2 pounds since Monday. :woohoo:

Gee, I guess all those hours of dancing are good for something, other than the teachers bank account :dance3:

Hoping to hear some good results from the rest of you guys soon. :cheer2:

Keep on exercising and trying to eat better.

Robin,
We will have a rental and will be at the Pop ...If you would like to ride with us, it will save you money....
We are after all going to the same place from the same place....and there will be only two of us....We dont normally bring but a suitcase each, between the two of us...We may have another couple because of the stay at pop before, but if it gets crowded, we can alway pile them around our feet...and such..We will be renting a full size car....Cant get any smaller with the LONG trip...too uncomfortable..
If you are interested just let us know anytime before we have to go.... ;)
