Getting any information from Randall about school is no small task. He's completely closed-mouthed about the subject. He had a lot of homework last night. I think he is starting to realize that he is not a little boy anymore, that he is growing up, and he's not so sure he's ready. He's a little immature for his age, not a lot, and I'm not really concerned, I just think he wants to stay little, stay young, no worries that way. This stressing over getting all this homework done in one night is just the start of something bigger. Something he isn't ready for.

That's what I keep telling mine! Randall and Cora sound alot like my two! I'm not even kidding! I wish I could rewind and show you what I mean. Chad adjusted really well at the end of 7th grade and has matured alot over the summer He's passed me now by 3 inches, and he likes to show me that almost everyday

I'm pleased that your children all seem to have settled back into school. Kerry went back to school this morning. Now only Year 7 (the new kids) have gone to school today, but as Kerry is a Prefect she had to go in too. Over the first couple of weeks she has to help the Year 7's that she has been assigned to, where she'll help them to find the different classrooms and teachers.

Tomorrow the rest of the school start back. I don't think Becky is looking forward to it, but she doesn't play me up. She is in Year 9. Kerry is in Year 11, her final year, then after her exams she is hoping to go to college.

Do your children have to wear a uniform to school ? Ours do, it's a shame, they always look so smart at the beginning of a new school year, in a few months they don't look so good (LOL).

Sending lots of PD to help them all have a good year

Hi All

Mandy I love Christmas too (I had three full size trees up in my old house), but since down sizing DH has limited me to one. PM is on it's way!!
Infact I love all the holidays and decorate for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. I even put lights in the tree outside for Halloween and Thanksgiving!!

I got my picture taken yesterday and turned in the paper work. My picture actualy looked. they wouldn't let me smile on my driver's liscens photo. It looks like a mug shot or somthing. I can't wait to get my passport.

Hello everyone,
I have been busy making meatball soup and tex/mex meatloaf(which I plan to freeze for a later meal)
I had alot of ground meat to use up, So I whipped up the first things that came to mind
I KNOW my mom wont be able to eat the meatloaf, (I went alittle crazy with the hot stuff) but Mike will love it!
Thats OK because she LOVEs Mac and cheese so I make her that when we are eating something she cant or wont..

AND in about 30 mins. I go to take Julia to her lessons,

Cora had another wonderful day at kindergarten yesturday. She had art class and made a really cool pair of glasses. If I remember, I'll take a picture later and post it. She met a new friend, named Jaimie. Jaimie is in first grade and her recess overlaps Cora's. There's a good sized hill at the school that the kids slide down in the winter, it's really cool. Well, Cora and Jaime were rolling down this hill yesturday. Jaime even sat beside Cora at lunch even though they are suppose to sit w/thier class. The teachers allowed because Jaime is a new student and I guess Cora is the first one who actually bonded w/her. That doesn't surprise me about Cora, she is very sensitive to others feelings. She wants everyone to be as happy as she is all the time! She's just a little girl, but w/her compassion for others and her will to come out on top....I have faith that there is nothing she can't do!

she is amazing. it always warms my heart when I hear about a child acting kind to another. It's so easy in this world to "look out for #1" -- and we don't have to teach our kids to do it. How wonderful for a child to reach out to another...

A question for all of you?

What does one buy for someone who is having their 8th child

Does that mother want something practical and useful, frivolous and cute, clothes, disposable diapers, something sentimental to keep

My son's girlfriend's mother is having her 8th child in a few weeks and I heard they were having a baby shower for her and that I was going to be invited.

Her oldest child will soon be 19 and the youngest is about 5-ish I'm guessing.

Any suggestions?
