I can answer the kids vs teens question...
We had each age group in our DISparty. 5 & 8, 13, 14, 2 @ 17 and 1 @ 20...
The littlist were easy, they loved the clubs. The age difference put them in seperate clubs tho, if you have little ones that want to be together you have to clear it with the castmembers there.
The 13, 14 and 1 of the 17yo's hung together in the stack the whole trip. They participated in many age specific activities with "really cool councelors" according to my 17yo.
The other 17yo wanted nothing to do with the club. She actually spent alot of time with me. We did the pool and stage shows together.
The amount of and ages of the children on board depend on those who book.
DCL tries to limit & spread out the ages of the cruising children. I've learned that they could hit a "quota" of 5 yo's (as many as the kids club could handle I suppose) and tell people the accommodations are sold out.
The 20 yo SWORE he would HATE the cruise. He had the best time of his life and has about 15 new best friends all over the country
His Mom and I were talking about cruising again and he's already said he's there.
---yes, I've been lurking...
