Okay... I'm gonna have to drug DH and drag his butt to the clerk of court to get his passport! He ditched me last minute

That's alright though, I've got mine! If he doesn't have his, oh well, so sorry for ya! It won't hold me back from going!

I've got the washing machine running already though.

You've got the right attitude. Leave him home if necessary, tell him you will do that too, maybe that will jump start him.

Did I mention to you guys, that I'm going away for the weekend?

Leaving tomorrow morning and won't be back until Sunday night. We are going north to visit our son at his summer camp job. While we are there we plan on visiting our nations capital, Ottawa. It's about one and a half hours from camp and 8 hours from home.

Sounds like fun! I've always wanted to help run a summer camp! Maybe when the kids get older, I can help one of the local ones!

I have no idea yet what we will do in Ottawa.

My son wants to show us around. He is very familiar with the city because his girlfriend goes to university there and he has visited many times in the past year.

I'll let you know what we saw and did when we get back.

I went online today to fill out our information for online check in! Looks like it's alot easier this way than carrying all of those vouchers in the mail. They said once everything is filled out, just print and bring in with passports , sounds too easy. Any thoughts.....

Kayla had a great time, she did quite a bit of sightseeing while she was there and brought home about 3-4 films worth of photos for me to scrapbook for her. Her scrapbook albums were a grad gift from me. She helps me work on them some. She is a picture taker. Her digital is better than mine, but she truely uses it all the time!!

Kayla only has on month left of working at the nursing home. Early August she will be headed to college. The one she chose is about 2 1/2 hrs away. Not tooo far, but far enough. She's very excited. We got her a smoothie maker to take to college, and super size package of straws. She has everything I think. We got her fridge a for graduation and her mom got her a toaster/some other appliance combo thing. She has new towels and stuff, so I think she should be all set. I'm not sure if she will take a tv or not, Cora said she could take the one in her room. Pretty nice considering I just bought that just after christmas!

Actually Kelly it IS just as simple as bringing that printout with you along with your id and a credit card.

At least that is how they do it on the Royal Caribbean ships we have been on. Quick and painless.

Well thank you for the enthusiastic welcome Wendy.

It's nice to go away and it's also nice to come home again.

We had a good time, ate some good food and saw some interesting things.

Mostly it was great to see our son again, it was 7 weeks since we had last seen him. He's looking good, growing his beard for the summer. Typical son fashion he sent home 2 pairs of his shorts for me to fix and mail back to him this week

Wendy~ tell to pop in & give a "shout out" when she gets a chance before she heads off to college! I'm sure she's excited How sweet of Cora to offer her tv

Robin~ that's great news! This new check in seems to be a breeze! I'm a h.u.g.e. procrastinator... except when it comes to my vacations. That's why I've been designated to be the travel coordinator for my family Maybe I'll get a button outta this one

Well.... what an exciting weekend we had Friday we hung out at home, Saturday we went to the movies to see You, Me & Dupree, & Sunday we went to the beach, then to a pool party, and ended the day at the ER (no George Clooney there though )

Chad was in the pool one minute, then the next decides to do acrobatic flips on a trampoline to impress some girls at the party Wet feet +trampoline + over confident teen boy = busted up face.

Mr. Macho did a flip in the air, then attempted the second one and came down on his face hitting the bar on the edge of the trampoline. Chad's teeth went through the area between his lip and chin He has braces and the a couple of wires popped off and went into his lip.

To sum it up... two stitches (I couldn't watch, DH and I almost ) two chipped teeth, a hole still inside his bottom lip, 3 teeth on bottom out of line, missing wires from braces (which I believe saved him from losing teeth)
