Yes it will be nice to have him closer to home.

From June 1 to Sept 3 he will still be 7 hours away from home working at the summer camp.

7 hours is not really much different from 20 hours

Still pretty far away from home

Then I took Julia to her lesson...and thats my day....
Kind of quiet actually!

Morning Girls

I hope you are all well

Last night I went out to dinner with my friend Jan (who I have known for about 25 years) and we had a great time. The food was lovely, the company was great and everytime the poor waitress came over for our order etc we were in fits of laughter

Betsy - Have a nice lunch day, we've had rain everyday for two weeks now and I really wish the nice weather would come back

I just came from dance/exercise class and I'm exhausted

I have two more dance classes to get thru tonight too.

the weather looks like it will be great here for the next week. The temperatures are not always expected to be real warm but at least the sun is supposed to shine.....finally

It is a long weekend here for us and we do have some plans for it.

Tomorrow there will be a barbecue with friends out at the airplane field. We will be going to that but probably later in the day. Rick will be out flying for sure and I will probably just go out there and meet them closer to dinner time.

Sunday, which is also Liz's birthday, we are having our annual street party. There is a potluck dinner involved with this event too.

This year instead of doing fireworks they have hired a live band and we will be having a street dance

The kids are all getting older around here and this will be a nice change to fireworks.

There was one time that we had a live band and a street party (for some other occasion) and it turned out fantastic. So hopefully this time will be just as much fun.

No plans for Monday yet but I'm sure I'll find something. I need to think about getting some plants/flowers and getting that job done, Besides that I have tons of other work that I can be doing around the house too.

Well, not so much a good day.

The sun is shining off and on but it is quite chilly and very windy, so weather wise not such a good day

My baby is now 20 years old....... I no longer am in the teenager stage

Morning Shipmates

I can't believe it's Monday again. The girls are at school as normal this week and then they're off for a week, next week for half term

Kerry had her first exam last week, and she has one this week, and then it all kicks off when she goes back after her break

We had a lovely day yesterday, we went over to a nearby town (Birmingham) and the girls had a look around the 'Surf' type shops there, as we are taking them to Southampton next Sunday/Monday for some retail therapy (LOL). We bought our Pirates of the Caribbean tickets for next Saturday night (at 8pm) and we went out for a lovely meal

Robin ~ I hope Liz had a lovely birthday, and that you enjoyed your street party

Morning Mandy.

Sounds like you had another nice weekend.

Our street party was a major success. The live band was really great. It was neat to see so many people all "boogeing" around to the music. At one point I swear that every single person was moving

There were a ton of people there, an awful lot that I had no idea who they were, although we were "allowed" to bring friends if we wanted to.

All the crazy people DO live on this little circle though. They were all out dancing and having a great time

We got raided by the police at one point Somebody must have complained about the noise so we had 2 police cars show up.

They didn't really say much when they saw exactly what was going on, so we just kept right on partying

Today is a holiday here today and the sun is shining, at least so far.

Morning everyone,
I am a mowing fool . ....I have been mowing for the last couple of days....
BUT Ive got the lake prop. done.....So Now I only have to worry about mine...for a few weeks anyway...then it will start all over again....
BUT I DO love the spring/summer....even though I feel like I am killing myself with outdoor work...at least I AM outdoors...Right?!

and its another beautiful day!.......

Soooo.. High Ho, High Ho, its off to mow I go! ....
