I am 33 and went on it by myself last weekend. I LOVED it. It was actually longer than I expected based on reports here on DIS, I guess I just had really low expectations. I had a FP and wouldn't wait longer than 30min to go on it, but I wouldn't wait longer than 30min to go on anything.

I have ridden 7DMT three times now, and although I thought the ride was too short the first time, I found I enjoyed it more the second and third time I rode it. However, I am larger and do find the seats to be quite small. I have no problems at all on any other attractions st Disney, but this ride requires a bit of "creative situating of my back side" when trying to fit into the seat.

They don't make a ride I will stand in line for an hour to ride.

We enjoyed it a great deal. My 3 yr old grandson can't ride it enough and that makes me love the ride.
It's not a thrill ride, isn't meant to be. It's a great ride in the Disney tradition and I'm happy for that.
