What is your opinion of the 7DTM for adults DD 23 and 57 y/o mom. Also, I've heard its quite tight seating. I'm pooh sized at 5'3" and 235 lbs. Will I be squashed?

I'm 36 and was so underwhelmed by 7DTM. My husband actually heard someone on his car say "This is what we waited 75 minutes in line for???". Thankfully we did it through FP and RS; otherwise I would've been pissed about wasting that much time in line for it. Needless to say I don't intend to ride it again.

i went on it last summer.

i'm 29 next week and went on it with my sister who is 35 and my niece who is 16.

none of us were very impressed.

since very very young children can go on it we didn't expect it to be wild and crazy but we expected more than we got.

i think it was hyped way too much for what it actually is.

i probably won't ride it again because its not worth a FP+ in my opinion and i wouldn't wait in a long standby line for it.
plus i wouldn't waste time at RD for it.

i'm 5'6 and about 205lbs and i found it to be a tight fit since the seats are molded.

thats another thing that ride has the most uncomfortable seating i've come across at any theme park.

Maybe its cause I have grandkids but it was me (48) daughters 31, 29, &21, SIL 32 and grandkids 9 & 6..we love it! Wish it was longer but we still enjoy it.bonus to watch a video on Photopass when we get home....im not in this photo but I weigh more than you,I'm 5'7...tight squeeze but not too bad...my grandsons face is priceless...my jenny has her little arms up the whole ride

23 here personally loved it agree without fast pass I wouldn't wait standby but the mines alone were simply a treat to see! So much effort there that ppl ignore yes it's a kiddie coaster that could be longer, but I try to ride every trip

We rode 4 times during our trip 2 weeks ago. My DH who is 6'3" mentioned each time that he couldn't believe they made a new ride with such small seats - he had a hard time fitting his legs in. My DD 6 loves this ride and Disney did what it does best and that is make little girls fall in love with Disney over and over. I thought it was fun but not worth 90 minutes of my time. If you are going multiple days I think it is worth a FP. We did also ride once at RD - we were near the front of the rope and walked right on and were off at 9:06 - that worked well for us also.

Count us in the Love it camp! Really fast, really cute, good theming. Like it more every time, certainly a classic. In the mine! In the mine!i

Glad to hear about the tight squeeze so we can be prepared. My DH is 6'11". Bummer they made this one so small....space mountain already is a "no go" for him....

We enjoy it. It's fun, fast, and not scarey. We've used multiple fast passes on it, and look forward to doing it again. Like others have mentioned, the details are very good.

I'm 160 lbs and found the seats tight but not really uncomfortable. The ride is short, so there is no time for cramps. I noticed the tight seat when I got in, but it didn't bother me once I was settled in.

All in all it's good ride. Smoothe, fun and the anamatronics are fantastic. Is it worth all the hype? Proabably not IMO. Is it worth using an FP+ for? For your first time, yes... you use up valuable time and energy rushing to it at RD. Is it worth a 75 standby wait? Absolutely not.

I think it is cute. I have ridden it maybe 5-6 times now.
I would not wait in a long line for it, I have only done it with a FP+. For me it is not a waste of a fast pass because there is not much that I do that needs one.

We were so waiting to ride this before our trip last fall...We've heard all the pro's ( minimal at best ) & cons, but figured we'd make our own assessment of the ride once we've ridden it. Well, we did ride twice in that 8 day trip, and yes it was hard to believe that it took sooo long to make, for a ride that was on the shorter side. To be honest though I actually liked the ride. True it's not BTMR, nor is it SM, but it is a good mix of Barnstormer and the others...Like I said , yes it's short, but other than that we enjoyed it. The queue is good and also is part of the ride IMHO.

For the OP. I don't recall being too squished in the seat. I'm 6'2 and around 220 , so I usually have a problem
(If any) when it comes to leg room, but don't think that was too bad here...HTH...

We love it. It certainly is too short, almost shockingly short, but it is a lot of fun. It is a must do for us.

We love the ride! It's fun. It's a very smooth ride too. We always get a fast pass for it. OP don't worry you will fit. A friend of mine is about your size and she fit. might be a bit uncomfy but she fit. It's worth a try. It's fun!!!

I am a size 16. I didn't think the seats were too small. My backside fit just fine. The bar that comes over your lap and alongside your legs was pretty tight though. If my thighs had been bigger, I may not have been able to get the bar down with my legs in the in-between space. Luckily it fit me.

I had heard the complaints and had watched all the hype for years. Personally, I LOVE the ride. I do wish it was longer only because it's so great. I don't quite understand all the negativity because when I've ridden it seems everyone wants to sing along and then clap when it's over. I wouldn't stand in line 70 mins but I got FP. Once for daytime, once for night. Both great! I've lost a bit of weight since then but I was 5' 5" and an XL at the time and felt fine.

We rode it twice this week and enjoyed it each time. However, we had a FP each time. In my opinion, no ride in any park is going to balance out standing in line for over 45 minutes. You stand in line, sweating, shifting from foot to foot, needing to go pee, you want a drink, it's boring....then...the ride you've waited for, sacrificed for, is over in less than two minutes. Sure it's going to feel like a let down.

We like it and think the theming is beautiful and unique. The shadows in the mine are great and a sweet surprise. We enjoyed singing along with the 'HI HOOOoooo...' and thought the turns and hills were fun! Sure, it's not thunder mountain, but keep in mind it's in fantasy land where most of the families are finding rides for kids. I think they did a great job on this ride.

Remember though, part of the fun ( If you can call it that )of standing in line is the queue itself..This is where you get immersed into the attraction, and the attention to detail is like no other!:thumbsup2 To me the ride is awesome , but only accompanied by the leadup/ build up before the ride..I do agree over an hour is ridiculous though.....

Love it, smoothest "thrill" ride I've ever ridden. While it certainly isn't Expedition or R&RC, it still is a blast. As for size, my 68 yo Dad is about 250 and had no problem with it.

From a technology point of view its a great ride.........smooth and you feel the car move! It's also about 2 minutes to short! I don't believe it was ever meant to be a thrill ride and in fact it's not. I'm 6' and 210lb with a bit of a belly :P and fit ok........not loose but not uncomfortable. We were lucky enough to grab a couple of FP's during our Sept 2014 trip so our wait was less than 10 minutes each time..............we also missed the games on the regular line too. We went during a so-called "slow" time..........and the average wait was 70 minutes...............would I have waited? Yeah probably........ONCE! Would I wait that long now.................not unless my grandchildren were with us. Please know I do think its a good ride! I really enjoyed it..............have video below. Go to the 6min mark for the ride.............or watch the whole clip :D
