7DMT FP+

Is everyone seeing 7DMT FPs move at the fast rate they used to when it's time to book? I'm sure this is a silly question but I was curious if the newness is wearing off and you aren't seeing the mad dash that was happening last year.

Not as difficult as it once was, but also not uncommon to be out at 30 days for some party sizes. Rechecking frequently can help with that.

The newness has not worn off. We were there last month, first experience with 7DMT. We got our FP+ 60 days out, the times we wanted, no problem. At MK, CMs were telling people that FP+ for 7DMT are gone 40 days out. CMs would laugh at you if you asked about 7DMT at a FP kiosk. There was a mad dash to 7DMT every morning when MK opened ~8:45am.

I was unable to get a FP for a party of 3 for 7DMT at 30 days out last week for our 2 MK days. I have since been able to get them for 1 of those days but only 1 time to choose from. I still haven't had any luck in changing out 1 of our FPs for the other day.

My FP time opened up last night at midnight (well actually 11 pm for me since i'm in central time zone). At that time I was unable to get 7DMT unless I wanted an evening fast pass. So I booked something else. Went on this morning about 7:30 and decided to check it out and see if i could change one of them back to 7DMT even if it was an evening and there was one time slot left for the mid-morning.

There were still a few FP for it scattered throughout the late afternoon when I stalked it for my friend who could only get FP 30 days out. Unfortunately the time that overlapped mine and the BF's was gone by the time her 30 day window opened and they were all gone within a couple hours. She didn't get one. I still sporadically check to see if it'll be available, but it hasn't yet. Lucked out last year while we were in Disney and someone cancelled both 7DMT and A&E in the morning and we snapped them up.

Do fastpass times disappear for the morning times first? I am thinking of scheduling fastpasses for evening times for our second parks of the day this summer, but will that strategy allow for us to get a fastpass for 7DMT?

I find that FP no matter which ones or where, mornings go first as you can't otherwise get your 4th FP until you've used up your initial 3.
