7DMT FP...not available on any Wednesday as far as 60 days out

I'm not worried, just curious. Would anyone know why Mine Train is unavailable on EVERY Wed in May? The only reason I noticed was because one of my days in MK will be a Wed and I was going to use that for a Mine Train day if I couldn't get it on my 60+1. It's not like SDD where there is not a day available till 60+2 as Mine Train has a couple days available still at the 30 day mark. Not the best time, but availibility nonetheless. And it has MANY other days available in May till the 60 day mark. The Wed that is on the 29th is showing FP only available for 2 which means it will probably go to red pretty soon. The next Wed would be June 5th.

Would any of you have any idea? Again, I'm not worried as I've heard recently that Mine Train at 60 days out doesn't seem as hard to get. I'm even willing to take that one upon our park departure letting it be the last ride we do for the day. So a FP as late as 1 or 1:30 will be just fine for me!

Wednesday typically has evening EMH at MK. Not sure but maybe there is just a heavy influx of people going those days? Seems weird but that's my only guess.

That's not bad guess at all! That, to me, would be the most logical explanation. People grabbing up the Mine Train FPs because they know what it will look like even with the EMH hours. I'm crossing my fingers when we go in June they increase those hours to an 11pm close. That means it would be a 11-1 EMH evening and I'm all about that! I would for sure stand in line for 7 Dwarves around midnight if it meant less people were in the park at that time. The EMH falls the night before our checkout day, so sleeping in would not be a problem as we plan to only spend a couple of hours at Disney Springs.

I think it's all just dependent on crowds. Wednesdays are popular days for MK - most crowd calendars advise avoiding MK on Mondays and Wednesdays. That being said, we did MK on a Friday (a party day, so typically not quite as busy during the day) last November. It was 60+4 and we could not get SDMT at all. We rope dropped it instead and were super disappointed - it was so short and not that great, in our opinion. Really left us puzzled as to why it's so hard to get a fp for it. Will definitely not be trying to work so hard to get a fp for it next trip. In fact, we'll likely skip it altogether.

Thanks for your information too. I've read here where many were like, that's it? And hated that they wasted a FP on it. I still would like to find out for myself.

It sure stands out, doesn't it? Often, later in the day when I refresh the DIBB website it will show some availability on a couple if Wednesdays. Then later they'll all be red again. Yet there is plenty of availability nearly every other day in May! So odd.

YES! I've noticed that too....showing availability for 2 on some of those Wednesdays and then like you said goes red again. There is one other day in May in red but still the fact that it was every Wednesday, I was like huh? But the PPs help me understand that is a busy day for MK and it's also their EMH evening day.

And see! Earlier this morning...around 7am on the 15th and the 22nd you could pick up a FP for 2....and now we're back to red again.
