I feel funny asking all these questions. I go to WDW multiple times a year, am a DVC and AP holder, and I was just there in October. You would THINK I would know everything there is to know about the parks. I used to be the one giving advice. I can handle moving my cheese and I usually adjust to that easily.... but I feel in the past month, they picked up and moved the cheese, redesigned the maze in 3D, moved all the walls, changed the entrance, added a few mouse traps, and for good measure, took the entire thing and moved it to a different universe with different laws of physics. My little mouse brain just can't adapt to so many changes at once.

With that out the way.... Talk to me about the things you have to do at 7am (assuming since I am DVC I am on property) and the order you need to do them.

For example....
lets take EPCOT since I think it's the most complicated. I THINK I can purchase Genie+ starting at midnight. Which means really since I am going to be asleep, I should do that around 6:30 in case I have an issue. Then at 7.... Do you go for the Boarding Group for Remy? Or the ILL$ (how quick does that sell out)? Assuming FEA as well, do you need to do that right at 7? You can only do one thing first, right? Or do you have to race for a G+ for Soarin or Test Track? (Although last few times I have been there, Soarin' has been reasonable).

I am guessing that's the worst, since the other parks do not have BG's. But if we swing over to HS -
Make a Genie+ for SDD or a ILL$ for MMRR or RotR? At 7am, you have to do one first, and if these are all going by 7:00:11, you can likely only get one (assuming the rest of the family isn't going to help).

MK... ILL$ for SDMT or G+ for JC?

Tell me about which ones you have to score at 7 and which ones you can go after at 7:01 or 7:02 and likely still get?

And to Disney.... Thank you for making this ALL SO COMPLICATED in your attempt to make it easier.

For me personally I don't see Epcot as a Genie+ needed park so I would go for the Remy BG first. The only two parks I can see me paying for Genie+ at are MK and HS. For those I am still stalking the info being put out on what would be the first things I need to do. I'm not even sure if we would pay for any of the "Fancy Rides TM" as Molly calls them. For those two parks I will be following this post to see what others suggest so I can add it to my mental notes of what to snag first.

The worst park for G+/ILL$ is DHS. Slinky Dog Dash goes in minutes and depending on the day, could go in a minute or less. RotR goes quickly as well, but not so quickly that if everything works correctly, you should be able to get SDD first, then RotR second if Needed.

On a Friday at 9am, 7dmt is the next closest ILL$ to selling out but is only at 5pm. Remy's is at 2pm. Flight of Passage 11am. Of course these are next available and doesn't mean there's not a big gap in times. I don't have a park pass for today so can't see every time available.

As for Genie+, it's mainly the top ride or two at each park that pushes out quickly, again depends on the day. Navi in AK is at 1130am, btmr, jungle cruise, and Peter pan are all afternoon times, test track is out to 6pm, everything else still morning at Epcot, MF, ToT, and rnrc at DHS are all afternoon as well, so if you didn't get Slinky, but want one of those, select early

These would be my priorities:

MK: Jungle Cruise Genie+, then 7DMT ILL$. If not doing JC, do 7DMT ILL$ first, then PP Genie+.

EP: Remy BG (or ILL$), then TT Genie+, then FEA ILL$.

AK: FoP ILL$, then Safaris Genie+.

HS: RotR ILL$, then Slinky Genie+. If you plan to do RotR standby during EE, make Slinky the priority. If you can have two people in your party logged in from different devices and each assigned to one thing, that would be best.

Agree except I wouldn't spend the money for Genie + at EPCOT. I would just get the BG for Remy, then do TT at EE followed by FEA (unless you choose to do ILL$ for FEA)

pretty sure there is nothing at Epcot you need to jump right on the Genie for at 7, so try to get your Remy BG first. then if you want Test Track get your Genie for that.

That's a good plan too. Those would just be my priorities assuming someone had Genie+ for all their park days.

We visited EPCOT twice last week:

We didn't purchase Genie+ for EPCOT because it wasn't necessary in our minds. Right at 7am I joined the virtual boarding group for Remy and got in boarding group 5 the first day and 2 the second day. We rope dropped Soarin' first thing each morning in the early admission period and it was a walk-on, later in the day the posted wait time never got much above 30 minutes. Test track maxed out at closer to 45 minutes during the day and it broke down once when we were in line. While we where there we considered ILL for Frozen because the wait time was consistently over an hour but our kids weren't particularly interested in the ride since they thought it was a "one and done" the last time we were there. I personally don't think it is worth paying extra to ride. If Frozen is a priority I would rope drop that first, but I still don't think you need Genie+ to have a successful day at EPCOT. We rode everything (except Frozen) with the longest wait at Test Track (40 minutes). Everything else was 15 minutes or less.

Here is what I would do for each park at 7 am/ morning:

Magic Kingdom: Get a Big Thunder, Jungle Cruise, Peter Pan Lightning Lane reservation, then get an individual pass for 7 Dwarfs, rope drop one of the first three rides.

Epcot: Remy boarding group first, then Test Track or Soarin Lightning Lane, then Frozen ILL if you want it. Rope drop Frozen or Soarin

Studios: Slinky Dog Dash lightning lane, Rise individual pass, rope drop Tower of Terror and Rockin Roller Coaster, possibly buy a M&M pass later in the day

Animal Kingdom: Get a Safari or Navi River Journey lightning lane, rope drop Everest and Dinosaur, get a FoP ILL later if the line is very long

Jungle cruise???? Did I miss something?
Did they redo this whole ride?
Not even worth a “fastpass”
Thanks

For those people who like Jungle Cruise and want to ride it, that should be their Genie+ priority. Those are gone earliest in the day. If you don't want to ride Jungle Cruise, Peter Pan is typically the one to go for first (although you could exchange that with BTMR if that's a higher priority for you).

Just reading the trend here, it sounds like IN GENERAL, the priority is:

BG -> Genie+ -> ILL$.

Correct me where wrong if that's incorrect.

I think that's true at Ep (BG for Remy) and MK (Genie+ for JC, PP, or BTMR). At HS, I would prioritize ILL$ for RotR. At AK, I would prioritize ILL$ for FoP.

No I’m just shocked lol. Jungle cruise was only kinda cool at night and never seemed that busy.
Peter Pan yes always long line!!
Ugh I hate going from a WDW “expert” to complete newbie:scared::scared:

Look at Thrill Data. JC is going pretty quickly every day. Waits were bad in July. I think the movie has increased interest, plus Jingle Cruise now.

Today around 2:30 I hopped on the app and popped in wait times and return times in a spreadsheet to see what it looked like. I’m sorting by return times to see what my priorities are going to be 😂😂😂

Generally speaking, JC and PP are neck in neck when it comes to wait times. The last few years, I rarely see JC under an hour except at rope drop. PP usually outperforms, which is amusing since it's a continuous track ride. JC's long lines are - I think - a product of the terribly inefficient loading and unloading process.

Personally, I am more likely to ride JC before PP.

All of this depends on what rides are your favorites/priorities.

I had good success this week with the following:

MK- G+ JC for 11:10 and from there set up stack including eventually getting TT and Soarin for late afternoon hop to Epcot. No park reservations at Epcot this trip. Did 7DMT at ETPE, and HM, BTMRR, and POC standby before lunch at 11, then JC. We would usually do Spalsh, but it was a little chilly (temp in the 50’s at opening) and the ride was down anyway.

DHS- G+ for SDD and IALL for ROTR. Did TOT and RNRC at ETPE, finishing both before 9. Then did TSMM and Star Tours before lunch. Bought IALL for MMRR later in the day. MFSR LL were gone before I could make a second LL pick, so I made that a priority for a second visit to DHS later in the week.

DAK- Early G+ for Safari and purchased IALL for FOP. Did Everest and Dino at start of ETPE and were back near the Safari not much after 8. After riding Safari got LL for Navi at 11:30 and used it right after lunch at Satulli. Walked the Gorilla trail, did FOP and saw FOTLK before lunch. After riding Navi (more than 2 hours after Safar) I had two reservations (later upped to 3) to use at MK before After Hours. I disagree with those who say getting G+ at DAK isn’t worth it, because combining it with a hopper can be very useful.

We were there this past week. SDD should be your absolute priority at 7 am. One time refreshed exactly at 7, and in 5 seconds it took to confirm it was up to 1040-1140 return time. The next day HS was our park hopper so we wanted afternoon. At 7 am it gave us 525-625. We purchased Rise both days at 705 and had our pick of times we wanted
