7am EMH and SDMT

I have a FP for SDMT, which I got when MK was set to open at 8am. Now they've added a 7am EMH, which we'll be doing. So, now I'm thinking of dropping my SDMT FP to ride it at 7am and then pick up a FP for something else later that morning (maybe Haunted Mansion). Thoughts? How long do you think the stand-by line will be at 7am?

Not bad,but it will depend on how early you get to Magic Kingdom before 7:00 AM.

We're staying at Pop and was thinking we'd catch a bus no later than 6:15am - will that be early enough?

It's just hubby and I so unless something goes horribly wrong, like the alarm not going off, we shouldn't have any problems waking up early. We'll be at HS the night before so it'll be an earlier night and should be in bed at a decent time.

Yes,that should be great-personally,I would be at the POP MK Bus Stop at 6:00 AM,but I like to be sure to catch a bus in plenty of time.

I would consider keeping it for one reason only - would you want to ride it more than once? You could ride at 7 am, ride again with your FP+ and ride a ton of other things before 10 am too, as the lines would still be low on most attractions if you do get there for the 7 am opening.

Exactly what JimmyBean42 said. I'd keep it. HM will be a walk on in the morning. I wouldn't use a FP on it. Not sure when your others are planned for either, but I think you could easily grab HM as a 4th Fast Pass at some point in the day unless you are going during a really crowded week/over a holiday

If you are not at the front of RD and walking very fast the line could be about 30 minutes by the time you get there. I have RD this a number of times and most of the time it is 45-60 minutes by the time I get there, I like to be in the back of RD as I do not do well with crows.

I would keep this as there will be a number of other rides that should be walk on and I think you can easaly do a few rides in the time you can do 1 ( now I do not go that often when MK opens up at 7) but I would keep this one, try to have all your FP back to back or very close together and getting a 4 one for anything but 7DMT should not be that hard.

7:00 AM EMHs at Magic Kingdom see the lowest Rope Drop crowds of the year-VERY few folks will get up that early on Holiday!

No, I would keep it and utilize that 7am EMH to go on a ton of other rides. You can get into Pirates, Jungle, and both mountains for the time you would take running with everyone else to do 7DMT and waiting stand-by. Hit up Haunted Mansion with no wait too. Also, what if you overslept or the bus broke down.

2 years ago we were there at 7am rope drop in the front and my youngest and I were 2nd in line for the popular Elsa/Anna while my DH and 13yr ran to 7DMT with the other 90% of the crowd. We were able to meet the princesses and go on Barnstormer twice and Pooh before they even came off the ride. We then did Speedway together, they went off to Space and we did Buzz Lightyear like 5 times in a row.

It is amazing how many rides you can go on from 7-8am. Even if you chose 7DMT first, I would still keep the FP. You can always change it at the park that day.

But Adventureland and Frontierland aren't open for AM EMH.

You are right!! I have never gone there but thought they did. There are still so many other rides you can go on instead of running with the masses. I would still keep the FP.

I would keep it in case it is down at 7am when you rope drop. That's not likely but I would just keep it and you can always change it later that day if you want to.
