Wow! That's a long time to wait. I have 3 trips in the various stages of planning just within the next near, I couldn't imagine waiting over 2 years to go back. I'm sorry. When was the last time you were there?

Last time we were there was in October 2013.
Time before that was October 1998.

When we booked our trip for next August I was thinking 'ugh it's all so far away', but the time has actually passed quite quickly and it's now 387 days, we will be under a year by the end of this month, once it gets passed Christmas and we can book dining and other such things in February I think it'll seem closer.

We ended up booking April, 264 days to go, as well for just as a quick/cheaper trip to watch Cheerleading worlds, just a week long visit but that'll also break up the time!

We are at 323 though have nothing booked yet so thats a rough estimate but we are under the year anyway which was a big milestone! We had originally planned on not returning til 2017 at the earliest so at one stage it was like over 1000 days to our next trip! Think that might have killed me!! Next trip will be at a busy time though (we generally go off peak) so shall busy myself planning to make it the best trip possible Cant wait til ADR date rolls round though, then it will feel so much closer!

When we started we were around 900, I refused to let my husband countdown properly until we reached at least 500.
Look where we are now- 5 days!!!!!

But YOU ARE going and that's all that matters

You may have a long time to wait but its worth it and unlike the average American you will prob have far more time there. Our American friends (from Florida) go maybe 2 to 3 times a year but the total number of days is only about 10..with some of them taken up with travelling by car to get there. They always say 'let us know if you want to know anything about planning etc' . We always go for at least 21 days or so every year and know far more about it then they do.

My brother has waited 10 years to go back and we are now 4 weeks out

And before I went in the last 2 years I waited 8 years and booked it nearly 2 years in advance.

Why don't you put £1 away in a jar everyday It will help count down and you will see your spending money pile up.

Wish I had saved earlier.

We had decided to come back in 2016 when we left our October 2013 trip. When I first did a countdown for it it was 1069 days to go. It is as of today 791. So that is 278 days gone which is totally cool.

But with over 2 years to go I get bouts of being excited but it seems so far away.

450 days until my very first trip! But I have been planning this trip in my head for over 5 years so I'm used to waiting now.

I think with it being a first trip it isn't so bad as there has been a tonne of reading and planning to do. I'm going into my final year at university next month so my plan is to throw myself into my dissertation and then when I finally emerge from the library in April time it'll be time to do ADRs and get down to some serious planning and shopping!

The sheer amount of research I've done means I feel like I've already had the holiday haha I'm so thankful for trip reports, they've helped me so much.

We are at 368 but it was a lot more than that! We go every two years so it does seem a long wait but believe me it flys in. I cannot wait until Jan as that means I am going to Florida that year woohoo. Just keep planning and watching youtube clips, etc it helps.

That's gotta be painful. But think how good it'll be when you get to 99 days. The excitement will be incredible!!

we were at 524 when we booked ours, and the time has flown by we are at 84 now and cant wait
