7620 - May 23, 2004

I made the jump. I'm so excited - after much decision making (Not easy to spend that kind of money) - I booked our first DCL for May 23, 2004. I am a single parent and will be travelling with my DS10 and DD11. I couldn't keep it a secret from my kids though. My TA told me I was pretty lucky to get this room as it is usually one of the first to go and so someone must have cancelled.

This will be our second cruise but the first one that I will be travelling as the only adult with my 2 kids. I'm a bit nervous over that. But my kids are great travelers. I just have fears of missing the ship departures - I may be sticking close to ship.

I can't wait!! I'm just as excited as my kids. I've been reviewing the past posts - this board has been great answering questions I've had such as single parent, tipping the spa, etc.

Congrats on booking the cruise!! My family will also be on the May 23,2004 Wonder. It is me, DH, DD8(almost 9) and DD6.

GOOD FOR YOU AND CONGRATS!

I actually stayed in 7120 on 5/15/03 and loved the room. Its a "Navigator's Verandah" where the view is slightly obstructed (but not anything you'll notice). The used to be category 5s but were reclassified to 7s and are therefore a little cheaper.

Also, good for you on going solo. My sister and I are taking her four kiddies (6, 5, 5, and 1) next January and we can't wait.

I'll be sure to let you know how it goes. Thanks for the report fredms - I checked the picture at castawayclub.com but am glad to hear from someone with a similar room. It looked good to me. And I liked the location - it appears that it will be in a less traffic area but close to stairs. I love the thought of drinking coffee on the verandah in the morning and watching the sun rise.
