$750 "Front of the line" Pass?

Let's say you bought two expiring 10 day passes instead of one, just to get extra fastpasses with. The price of the second one means an extra $230. That is $23. per day apiece, or it would take a party of over thirty extended family members buying those extra tickets to come close to the $750. or so per day for the tour guide.

You can buy and use two separate ticket cards per day per person and in that manner get twice as many fast passes.

I've bought extra tickets to get extra FPs. Most of the gate attendants flip out over it now. It used to be fine, no big deal.

Now more than half of them get all riled up and tell me I can't do that - each person can only have one ticket. So, I have to go through the line, exit the park and get back in line to use them.

I don't know if Disney would frown on 2 people buying four tickets - I'm guessing they'd be thrilled! - but their goofy ticket-takers sure frown on it.

I have an AP and have had the machines not recognize my finger. I show my ID and on I go.

But if I didn't have ID...

Let me get this straight, a person who has a FP that belongs to them will have it confiscated and CANCELED for MISUSE because your machines don't work???

That's what you all do when your machines fall down on the job - you punish the customer?

...and they say Disney customer service isn't as good as it used to be. :sad2:

How is that bad customer service on Disney's part? So the machine doesn't work. They have a backup plan in place. A photo ID. Which you should always travel with anyway. Even a photocopy of your passport. No driver's license? Then a state issued photo card (check your state, they probably have those for free).

Ask yourself - how would you in any other situation prove that you are who you say you are? If you can't, why?

If they were bought at different times would they notice that the addresses were the same in the computer when selling. Or could I buy two APs in my name and address (or maybe use an alternate address.) Ticket 1 use the left index finger for scan and ticket 2 use the right index finger. Then walk in the gate with one, go out the other side and come right back in using the other ticket. If you had a few "runners" doing this for one guide you could easily end up with MANY tickets that runners could use their 2 tickets plus the ones that the family being guided purchased. A family of 4 on a tour that had 4 runners could grab 5 FPs at one time and before they finished the fifth ride, the runners would have already started grabbing the next round of FPs. You could tour the park and ride everything before noon. It would even be possible for them to hit everything in say MK, and while the family was using up the rest of the FPs, the runners head over to Epcot and start grabbing FPs there and the family joins them after lunch and wipes out 2 parks in one day easily.

And since the "guide" is buying them anyway, it wouldn't matter if they did have to be attached to different people. He could have 10 show up at the rope drop and get in then hand all of their tickets over to 1-2 runners while the other 8 can either just walk around all day as part of their "pay" free admission, or they could go home, job complete. I just don't think it would be that difficult to get multiple APs in your hands, even if you were paying a few teens a few bucks plus free park addmission to walk in a park and hand you their tickets.

It seems like this would be expensive but really only the time/labor would be expensive because this would be a daily thing. The APs are CHEAP compared to that, if they needed 10, thats not even $5k. The "guide" could surely charge enough for this service to cover a measily 5k in 1 year, probably more like in the first month!

But I haven't thought this out or anything :)

I'm impressed for that just off the top of your head this early on a Saturday morning!

There's always a way around everything. People will find the loophole and work it!

First of all any AP has the Guest name printed on it. The Guest is tied to the ticket by the finger scan. If the finger scan does not work the Guest must show a photo ID that matches the name on the pass. If I am at a gate and a person with an AP fails the finger scan and cannot provide a photo ID I will confiscate the ticket. Then, more than likely, my manager will cancel the AP for misuse.
This is good to know. I have had scanning problems at AK..no where else on Disney property with my AP last year.

A bit off topic - I am sickened by the people who sell FPs on eBay....

I am too:sad1: . There is one seller that has sold over 100 of them . I am thinking she has a nice printer and is printing her own and selling them to those that dont know better.:headache:

Could Jay Leno have been talking about the VIP tour? If you multiply that $125 an hour, for min. of 6 hrs. you get $750. Certainly not worth it in my mind. And there seems to be a lot of thought here on how to get the most FPs you can, by buying more park media. Man, you're on vacation...what else do you have to do with your time! Plan accordingly and you should do fine.
Those people out there, selling the complimentary FPs on Ebay are truly something...can you imagine paying that kind of money to get towards the front of the line for several rides? But, that's just me....I have no problem waiting in line if I misjudged my timing, or I just pass it by and go back at another time. I never wait more than 20 mins anymore. there is too much to see and do at WDW to spend any more time than I have to waiting in lines. Move on to the next attraction.

Only Universal offers that. I don't think i've ever heard Disney offering front of the line passes. If that started to happen, there would be no point to a stand-by line because it wouldn't be moving anywhere.

Just my take.:hippie:

The poster said that they would cancel the AP not the FP. Pay attention. It is for the Annual Passholder's protection. SMART people would always have a photo ID or some other form of identification on them because machines don't take the place of humans...they are there to ASSIST humans and sometimes they fail.
