75 South--Perry, GA hotels

We'll be driving to WDW in less than 3 weeks!!! We plan on stopping for the night in Perry GA on I 75 SOuth. We're looking for suggestions, experiences, warnings about any chain hotel/motels in Perry, GA. THANKS SO MUCH !!!

My family & I have never stayed in Perry, we always stay in Valdosta the day before we arrive at WDW. However you can not go wrong with the Hampton Inn off exit 136. Whenever my family & I go down Interstate 75, Southbound & Northbound, we always stay at Hampton Inn's because they are always clean, never had any problems there & their continental breakfast has a lot of items to choose from & is so good to eat.

We will also be driving to WDW in a few weeks from Ohio (I75). This is will our first time driving to Florida so I am interested in replies to this port.

Hampton Inn is always a good choice. I also like the Jameson Inn (I've never seen a 'bad' one), at Perry (also in Valdosta, Georgia or Lake City, Florida). The Jameson at Perry isn't as nice (exterior corridor) as the other two Jameson locations, but it is significantly less expensive than Hampton, if cost is a consideration. There are other choices in Perry, but I'm not familiar with any of them, so personally, I'd choose between the Jameson and Hampton Inns.

Other places I like: the Fairfield Inn along the I-475 bypass in Macon (maybe 30 minutes north of Perry) is really immaculate; we stayed there last November. The Sleep Inn in Valdosta is also nice (I was there a few weeks ago), clean, and modern and, like the Jameson, much cheaper than the Hampton Inn chain.

It's been years since I've stayed in Perry-- it definitely doesn't have as many choices as some other stops, but I agree you really can't go wrong with a Hampton.

I usually stay in Valdosta/Lake Park on the way down, but Tifton is also pretty nice and has more to choose from than Perry.
