$75,000 for a CAMPER!!

I went to the Jayco website today to see what the new models look like, and you can "design your own" by starting with a base and then adding stuff. The one I designed was 36' long, had 4 slide-outs, washer/dryer, generator, granite counter tops in the kitchen, garden tub/shower, a fireplace and huge entertainment center in the living room, and many, many more "extras" and the price was a whopping $75,000! Yikes! That's more than we paid for our HOUSE 25 years ago. They are making campers bigger and more beautiful every year. You sure don't have to "rough it" anymore to go camping!!

We have a Keystone Cougar 5th-wheel 28 ft. trailer that we no longer use. It will be interesting to see how long it takes to sell it.

LOL, my parents just spent $120,000. Ours was much less but has lots of luxeries. For sure not roughing it, more like a resort room on wheels. Just the way I like to camp

My big life plan is to sell the house after the kids are grown and buy a big one that drives. They are as big as a small ranch house, and MOVE! We can summer up north and winter down south.

It's a 5th wheel. We have a Jayco Designer right now that we bought used (for $12,000 and we sold our old 5th wheel for about half that) from DH's father when they bought a new one. It's in great shape, with a large slide-out in the living room for the couch and dinette. But I still like to dream about the future when we are able to start spending winters in a warmer climate and want a newer 5th wheel. It just amazes me what things they put in "campers" now, like fireplaces, washer/dryer, really nice TV's and surround sound, etc. Not really a "camper" but a small home actually.

That's not a real boat....there's no outdoor hot tub.
