Hi C.Ann, I just read your last post regarding your DH. I imagine not hearing an oxygen machine CAN be quiet. It's quiet here, too. Reading an excellent book and having a quiet New Year. You and yours are in my prayers.

Since it's a Cyber-New Year's party and I don't have to worry about driving my keyboard - I'll take a gin & tonic, double lime, please!

Sure! "Cody" is a german shepherd mix.. 1 year old and the sweetest thing ever.. He LOVES to play with other dogs!!

As for the cookies - there's PLENTY !! Course you and I will have to eat the fudge because chocolate is a no-no for the doggies..

LOL.. I had NO idea it would be so eerie here.. Now I'm thinking maybe I'll sleep downstairs on the couch - with Cody on the floor right next to me!

C. Ann--My lab mix., Jessie, is my buddy tonight. She gets a hug at midnight unless dh calls. I'm used to being alone at night 4 out 7 nights a week.

This is the first time that I've been in my DD's house at night - totally alone - and man, is it quiet!! Way TOO quiet.. No oxygen machine churning out air; no humidifier running for my granddaughter; all 4 televisions in the house are off; no music coming from my son-in-law's computer.. I'm not so sure I like this!

Anybody wanna come over and party?????

You should have come to my house. Margaritas and open flames (fireworks). What could be better?
