7040 and 7042- elevators issues?

are these rooms going to be noisy since they appear to be very close to the elevators? getting nervous about the rooms and checking our options.....

We stayed in 6618 - right by the elevator lobby - and it was very quiet. I was surprised. It was also very convienient. We grabbed the stairs everywhere and everything was such a short walk away. We've booked our next cruise in rooms right by the elevators again.

(One thing I didn't anticipate was the stairs. I figured grabbing the stairs on the ship would be like grabbing stairs in a hotel - back hallways, little stairs. But the staircases are large and grand - and get far more use than the elevators).

On our last 2 cruises we stayed in 8030 (directly under 7040) and never heard any noise from the elevators. The location right near the elevators and stairs was very convenient. Great choice of rooms.

We stayed in these EXACT rooms on the March 29th 2003 western cruise!! LOVED THEM!! No noise,yet close enough to the elevators to make them very easy for all the kids. (ages 12,9,5,3 at the time) I would highly recommend the bungy cords for the adjoining doors. They, along with the over the shoe door hanger, were the best tips I got from the boards! Have a great cruise!!

We were in these 2 rooms a coouple of weeks ago(2/21 Eastern) and loved them. The location was convenient and quiet. We loved the verandah and the fun of watching us leave ports.

Say hello to "our" rooms and we will definately stay in them again.

We will be in 7042 and our friends will be in 7040 on our next cruise....April 23, 2005. Glad to hear the rooms are so great!!

Isn't this the Walt Disney Suite? How did you like it? We are in 8532 next week but I would like to try one of these Category 1 rooms some time.
