70 to Freezing in 7 hours. A Nov/Dec 2011 trip report. Updated 4/28

So last two days I was in Dublin again for radio stuff and may have popped along to the Disney store again and they've changed the window again.. They now have this:

Alos I was getting some Magic Around the world pins to trade and a CM went you know we have pin trading upstairs? Eh say what? Why had nobody told me this before so I went up to see and they did indeed have pin trading and I got this: clickie

Also remember I posted these dudes before.

They have been hanging around one of the shopping streets. I figured out what the yokes are tied to their ankles. I thought maybe it was some sort of weight in case some over excited child knocked them over or something but nooooooooooo it's a little bucket for people to put money in for the fact Mr. and Miss Mouse are standing around the street. Guess that's why they so skinny looking no money for food or plane tickets back to Florida

Day 13, part 4:

So when I left you we had just freshened up and were headed back to the bus stops at POP. The bus came quick enough but where to this time? Well since we had tickets for a certain party this might be a good sign to follow:

Yeah we were back in the Magical Kingdom for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Now remember if you go back to my first day in the Magic Kingdom I posted about how when I went around the corner and didn’t see the 45ft tree I was kind of disappointed that it wasn’t there. Yeah well went around the corner this day and hello giant Christmas tree:

It wasn’t up the first week because they only put it up after they shoot the holiday parade. We admired that for a while and I took a trillion photos:

I grabbed some fast passes for Mickey and the Princesses and then we headed up Main Street passing these guys along the way:

We went straight to Fantasyland since we had left our favourite area of the park until now. First thing I noticed:

Beast’s castle. I so can’t wait until the new Fantasyland is open fully and I can go explore it all and take millions of pics there as well. Woo excuse to go back to Florida. Anyways the first ride we went on was Winnie the pooh (we’re huge thrill seekers if you haven’t guessed already lol)

Which way should I go?

Ha of course I went to the kids play area. Momma stood in the grown up line. I played and took pics:

Those honey walls freaked me out thinking how many people touch them everyday. UNCLEAN!!!

Soon it was time to board our Hunny Pot and take a trip through the world of Winnie the Pooh:

Back out in Fantasyland we only had time for one more ride before I started to enforce the first rule of Party time in the Magic Kingdom. I love how the Magic Kingdom even made the ugly walls that hide the construction work pretty with Disney characters:

Day 13, part 5:
So standing in the middle of Fantasyland we’ve loads of choice for rides to go on what do I choose:

SMALL WORLD!!! *sings* It’s a world of laughter, a world of whatever blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah etc it’s a small world after all */ends song*
Momma fell asleep. I seemed to take a liking to the animals of Small World:

G’wan Ireland! I love that Ireland are included in Small World:

Back to the animals:

STOP THE BOAT! Where is Slán?!:

After that I marched Momma towards Splash Mountain. I did stop to take pics along the way:

So we headed to a certain area to wait for the party to start and these dudes were hanging out there as well:

I never thought about taking pictures of the animals on IASW. What a great idea. I am going to remember that the next time I ride.

I didn't really go on with the intentions of taking animal pics it just kind of happened that way. I think something in the back of my head said I had alot of the doll pics get something different But the animals were all cute anyways

December is a very pretty time in Florida. Especially that castle!

Yay! for going to Mickey's Christmas Party! We did it in 2010 & enjoyed ourselves.

We did MNSSHP in 2010 so it was always going to happen if we went for Christmas we'd be going to the MVMCP or at least I'd be going solo if Momma wouldn't come.

Small world is my favourite to. I'm a big baby when it comes to thrill rides and won't do them so Fantasyland is my favourite area of all the parks

I was so excited when I saw the tree. They had the garlands across main street back up as well they had taken them down when the television crew were there.

That is hilarious that your momma fell asleep on Small World! The only ride I've ever managed to fall asleep on is Ellen's Energy Adventure.

I actually have a really funny picture of that but she'd killed me if I post pics of her. I had the Santa Minnie ears and christmas ribbons and all sorts on so she had brought a Santa hat and had the Santa hat on and just has her head down and is asleep.

YAY! MVMCP! I can't wait to see it!

MVMCP was good. MNSSHP is better. Also our planning wasn't great because I hadn't studied enough in advance and another reason I won't go into just yet!

Exactly. Any excuse to go back even if it is one little or well large Christmas tree!

little bit frustrated this week so I got krispies and chocolate and made some of these:

If I can't go to DTD I'll bring DTD to me (excuse the messy plate btw I split some of the chocolate)
Oh yeah and it may be something like 79 days until I go to DLP

Was also showing Momma what I bought in the Disney store for DN11 and first she said it was cool quickly followed by and I suppose you got one for yourself as well. she knows me to well My defense was I had to though because if I didn't by Christmas DN11 might not get this because i'd keep it for myself

Day 13, part 6:
So when I left you we had headed towards Splash Mountain and Woody and Jessie were hanging out there. We had stopped to ask a CM where to go and discovered a whole hidden little section and shop under Splash Mountain we never knew was there. It looked like it was entrance for Splash Mountain queue, stroller parking, toilets and shop but since we’ve never gone on Splash Mountain we’ve never seen it. Anyways why were we here well because at 7pm the Seven Dwarves were going to be meeting here in the Christmassy outfits:

We got there at 5.30 and would have been first except the CM didn’t see us waiting and when he started the line he put one family ahead of us…Second in line is fine by me!!! Obviously when we were queuing from 5.30 as well that could have gotten very boring but the time passed quickly because first Woody and Jessie were there to watch. The CM told Jessie why the new queue was forming and Jessie made the mental sign because we were all queuing so early for the Dwarves. Then when they left the CM’s were going around just talking and joking with people. Some of them had pin lanyards so I did some pin trading and got this dude: Clickie
The guests in line also talked away to each other. We got talking to two older woman from somewhere in America who were down to check out all the story-tellers (remember this it’ll come up again) Momma was being anti-social and trying to sleep on my shoulder but they kept talking to her lol! At about 6.30 the CM's started to bring out trees and stools for the dwarves to sit on and a CM told us that the queue was back to the Splash Mountain bridge and that people would have an hours wait from there AT 6.30?!!! Moral of the story arrive early for dwarves then! That news certainly made the wait worth it for us:

Then at ten to seven the dwarves arrived out and CM made a comment that Grumpy was already Grumpy:

This experience was a lot more positive than when we saw them at MNSSHP in 2010. At the MNSSHP we had one of the grumpiest photopass photographers ever. He would only allow one photo per family and when Momma tried to get in a photo with me after I took a solo pic of her he nearly flipped his lid! Well this year they were so laid back and you could take as many photos (within reason) as you wanted. The only thing was the photopass photographer didn’t check what direction the dwarves were facing for some of his pics so the solo dwarf pic with me I got this in one corner:

Momma took the same pic though and Dwarves were all facing the right way:

We were done with the dwarves by five past seven and so headed towards the Magic Carpets to find Abu:

I was very happy that Abu was out with Aladdin when we found them but the CM said if you got in line they might switch to Jasmine and Genie before you got to the top. I started praying and taking pics just in case:

Also here’s where I realised I made the first blunder, online in my little bit of research they said that the characters at the parties don’t sign well Abu and Aladdin had no problem signing autographs that night. Where was my autograph book…. Back at POP! Oh well! So I got to the top of the line and Aladdin and Abu were still there woo hoo. They were very funny. Aladdin was commenting on my Christmas ribbons and pigtails and said my hair was like the tassles on carpet. He said Abu tried to do his hair like that one time so he could fly like carpet but fell over but said he’s used to falling off carpet. There were some very funny pictures including one where I look like I’m about to give Aladdin an Irish dance lesson:

So all that fun complete Momma had one thing on her mind. Where’s the free treats lol! We stopped at the first treat counter we could find and got our free hot chocolate and Christmas Ginger cookie:

Next we went to the Diamond horse shoe to see if we could find Bullseye but he wasn’t out only Woody and Jessie:

So as we were going around the park there was a lot of CM’s checking for wristbands to the point they had some areas blocked and wouldn’t let you pass unless you had a wristband like between Adventureland back into Frontierland. Well I went into the trading post in Frontierland and saw why. There was loads of cheerleaders around and apparently some were refusing point blank to leave the Parks one Mother was like I have paid to get into this park today and I AM NOT LEAVING UNTIL MY CHILD SEES EVERYTHING SHE WANTS! To which the CM went to take her by the arm and escort her out of the park. She shrugged him off and he followed her around the store which she was none to happy with. I’m not to happy either like that the park closes early on some nights and I have to plan my park days around it’s closing hours but like rules are rules and people do pay 65 dollars or more to get into the parties so you just shut up and follow the rules I really don’t get why people abuse the CM’s so much just because they’re doing their jobs like. Anyways onto the pictures. I brought Angel to the party with me mainly because at MNSSHP we saw a girl with a Duffy and the CM at the gate had given her a wristband for Duffy as well. Me being the over-grown child I am was hoping they’d do the same with Angel and I’d have a free souvenir lol! We apparently got a boring CM at the gate because it didn’t work for me. However in the trading post Angel did try on some hats:

The CM in the trading post wasn’t as nice about it as the one in Mouse Gear had been. The one in Mouse gear offered me more hats to try on Angel. The one in the Trading Post was watching me like as if I was going to go off with the hat on the bears head! I went to look at the pins after that and get my exclusive party pin. I got the white one at the bottom of this pic:

Pin in hand we headed back towards Main Street stopping to take Angels pic along the way:

Next up: Let’s Celebrate the Season with the mice!

You aren't kidding when you say get in line early! We queued up at 5:45 for MNSSHP last year and we were about 5-6th in line! The line moved quickly and we were done by 7:20. I would not wait an hour or more in line after 7pm to see them and miss valuable party time!

I know that Kadence will be so excited to go to the dance party again, she loved it and talks fondly about it.

Really I just sucking up everything I can't about MVMCP. It will be our first and I want to make sure we see our few for sure things and then just enjoy.

Are the cookies all the same kind or do they have different flavors?

Definately worth being there early for the dwarves. I'd hate to be waiting that long in the line once the party starts.

Definately need to plan in advance what you want to do because it is impossible to do it all in one night. If I was going again I would do two parties and focus on characters one night and shows and parades the next.

Where we went they were all the same but they did have more free treat options the second place. I'll get to that soon.

You should just take turns waiting in line for them but go early. It is worth it for the photo once anyways

Day 13, part 7:
So after taking Angel’s pic in front of the castle we headed towards the exit but not to leave. We were headed towards the Head Mouse and his favourite friend really. We did stop along the way to take pics though:

Going into Town Hall one of the CM’s asked me if Angel was Duffy’s cousin, I said yeah he’s his Irish cousin that’s why he’s so pale lol! We had forgotten to use the fast passes from earlier in the day and they do not allow you to use the fast passes for princesses during the Christmas party. I did notice that the line for the Princesses and their Princes was 60 minutes long and the wait time for Mickey and Minnie was again 5 minutes. Poor Mickey and Minnie seem less popular these days. Mickey and Minnie were in their Christmas best outfits as well:

Fun had with Mickey and Minnie we decided to wait a while outside Tony’s to see if the Princess line would get any shorter during the parade… it didn’t! So then we decided to head back up Main Street but through the shops. I took pics as we went of course:

We went to the Tomorrowland Terrace Café where they had more of the free Christmas treats but they didn’t just have hot chocolate and cookies here they also had apple juice and apple slices. We got some of everything and sat for a while. This is where things started getting messy for us. I left Momma sitting there and went to look at the shops in Tomorrowland for all this so called exclusive party merchandise. All they had was t-shirts and jumpers with this on:

That and the pins was literally all the exclusive party merchandise that anywhere in the park had!
I went back to Momma and said I wanted to go find Belle and Beast, she didn’t want to come. I said that’s fine told her to sit near the castle on the bridge and I’d be back... nope she didn’t want to do that said she didn’t want me to leave her on her own. Eh ok. So then she started crying because she said she was keeping me from doing what I wanted to do. Sorry what is going on?! I tried to convince her that it didn’t matter I only wanted to see Beast really and I’d try fit in some Epcot time the next day and meet him there if not it didn’t matter. She felt better after that. I guess she was over-tired or something from running around after me for almost two weeks I dunno really. So what did we do? Sat on a bench looking at the pretty castle, me inwardly screaming about all the time we were wasting but not saying anything to avoid an argument until I convinced her to move to the hub for the Magic, Memories and you and Holiday Wishes. I’ve no pics of this but I’m sure it’s on the video somewhere so will post them after. After that we moved up in front of the pretty shiny castle:

So we waited in front of the castle for the next Celebrate the Season show. We got near the front and I stayed standing. Momma sat and there was a mix of people standing and sitting all around us. While we were waiting actually I was thinking how this was the warmest night we’d had. It was dark and I was still in shorts and didn’t feel the need to put on the tracksuit. So White Christmas starts blaring over the loud speaker and I just scoffed thinking White Christmas yeah keep dreaming Florida. Don’t think you’ll be getting a proper white Christmas anytime soon! Although it would be kind of funny to see things like Typhoon lagoon and Blizzard beach covered in snow lol! Anyways show starts and someone behind me started tapping me to get out of the way. Honestly I would have had it not been the fact that everyone around me was standing. Anyways happy snappy here started clicking to get many pics of the show:

After the show we waited a few mins for the crowd to move and I took more pics of the pretty castle since this was going to be our last night in the Magic Kingdom. AGH I said the last word noooooooooo:

How did I not see your comment when I was replying to Judy earlier. Weirdness! Momma liked the Gingerbread cookie. They were a bit soft though. We've been to Lapland twice in December and they have the ginger spice cookies there but they alot harder than the ones in Magic Kingdom. I preferred the ones in Magic Kingdom but I think the traditional ones are supposed to be harder.
