70 to Freezing in 7 hours. A Nov/Dec 2011 trip report. Updated 4/28

Looks like it was a very interesting exhibit. It is so tragic but I do think it's good to keep history alive.

Cute shirts! :thumbsup2

I have seen other TR's with that titanic trip and they all seem to like it, but agree it is sad.

Sorry I've been missing the last few days had a Westlife weekend. It was their final concerts so went Friday and Saturday I'll save the omgness and for when I have a working computer and pics again. Atm I'm on laptop and none of my pics or anything are on this. Computer has gone off to be fixed again because there's still programmes not working on it that I need working :/

Yeah it is good to keep the memory alive so others can maybe learn from the mistakes made with Titanic as well. Plus it was interesting to see the rooms set up and the staircase and that.

Cute shirts! :thumbsup2
Thanks :) That not a people person t-shirt will crop up again later on in the trip report :goodvibes

I have seen other TR's with that titanic trip and they all seem to like it, but agree it is sad.
It was sad at the end with all the newspaper bits and finding out if your person on your card lived or not. Mine did, Momma's didn't.

Okies I don't have my pictures on the laptop but I have already uploaded a few extra days pics into photobucket for the trip report so on with the next day!

Day 10, part 1:
Saturday, 3rd December 2011.

This was the point in the trip that although I was still very much enjoying myself and looking forward to what was to come I was also getting sad because we only had 5 ish days left before they would make us go home! However we weren't going to think about that today because today we were headed out to another favourite park of ours Seaworld to see all their Christmassy goings on!
Our hotel is funny on this park and the Universal park because they offer a bus to and from these parks for like 5 dollars but we could get the iride right outside the hotel for like 2.50 return so that's what we did. I was amused as well because at this point the irides had put up decorations in the various buses or trams would you call them?!

They also put decorations on the front:

They don't do this with public transport in Ireland so I found it worthy of a pic. Plus it was kind of cute because the Red line had red decorations on the front and the Green line had green decorations on the front. Anyways we arrived at Seaworld just after opening and were immediately immersed in Christmas decorations and Little Miss Snap Happy (i.e. me!) got busy with the camera!

Pretty flower:

Of course as well most of the Christmas decorations were Sea or Fish related:
DSCF2658.jpg

We eventually made our way to the gates to enter the park and this was up over us welcoming us thank you very much:
DSCF2659.jpg

Then over by the Giant Christmas tree they had Seaworld Characters switching over to take pics with guests so our next stop was there. Shamu had just left so I hopped in line to meet Dolly and Momma hopped out of line to take a sneak own version of the pic so we wouldn't have to pay like 25 dollars for a picture:

DSCF2663.jpg

Because we were at Seaworld shortly after it opened we had a small wait for the first show. I grabbed a map and quickly started planning our day time wise and in the meantime Momma headed to the first gift shop to explore and I of course followed after her to take pics... (Warning type spoiler I took a lot of pictures of the Christmas merchandise especially the t-shirts because I thought they were cute.) All the shops were decorated for Christmas as well so my camera and I were very happy:

Next up was the first of our Seaworld traditions a morning visit to the Sweet Sailing Candy Shop to pic up the Souvenir Mug for me and a Shamu cookie bowl (yes cookies for breakfast) and for Momma to get tea. I took pics of all the yummies while we were waiting in the queue:

I normally get the chocolate chip cookies because they're Yummy out but went with the Christmas themed ones instead they weren't as nice as the chocolate chip ones though but whatever they were still yummy and you're going to have to wait for the next update for a pic of them because I've run out of picture space. I was very picture happy all day in Seaworld.

Next up: Visiting our Dolphin and Sealion friends

OH! I missed that you had a update last week! I would have like to see the Titanic exhibit. I find it interesting, but sad as well. I remember watching one of the older movies when I was younger (not the Leo version) and seeing how the 3rd class passengers were locked below deck. I was so mad to see how they could do that to them!

Sea Worlds decor looks pretty nice! I think all the parks have to decorate a lot, because there is no snow like we get!

I think I would greatly enjoy one of those chocolate dipped croissants!

I just got back from the world last week after a 10 day trip so its going to take me a bit to catch up.

I have always wanted to see the Titanic exhibit. It looks really interesting. Sorry it ended up being sad.

Cool Christmas pics of Seaworld.

Just started a new TR in my siggie so if you're interested stop on by! :goodvibes

I've never read a TR where someone went to SeaWorld so I'm very excited to read all about it!

The pictures are all great! The Christmas decor is so pretty!

And a big :thumbsup2 for cookies for breakfast!

A guy dressed up like someone from third class acted as a kind of tour guide around the exhibit putting on an Iorish accent (fake Irish accent though not as bad as the Liverpool Irish man we'd met a few days before!)
Does that mean your momma didn't call this one out? :confused3 :lmao:

I think the Titantic thing would be interesting. The price does seem a bit steep and the whole gift shop thing does make it seem a bit like profiting from a disaster. It really is a good way to keep the story alive and relevant to generations removed from the time period though.

I hope you have a good day at Sea World. Can't go wrong with cookies for breakfast, but I think I would have definitely had to go with the chocolate chip.

It is interesting to see once. I don't think I'd go five times like the other people we talked to. It was awful though they way they treated some of the passengers. I think i've only seen the Leo version of the movie and then documentaries on it.

There was alot of decorations in Seaworld. I loved all the decorations everywhere though.

That did look yummy but I was sticking with my traditions.

Not jealous at all!!! :/ ;)

It was very interesting and the movie props at the end were cool to look at as well

Cool Christmas pics of Seaworld.
Thank you

I shall check that out later right now I'm supposed to be getting ready to go to Dublin.

Thanks I have hundreds of Seaworld pics. We always go to Seaworld. It's one of our favourite parks and I love Shamu

She didn't actually but she did throw him an are you for real look at one point! :lmao:

Yeah I can't remember what else they had for sale in the gift shop but I remember thinking some of it was a bit much considering the tradegy of Titanic.

I hope you have a good day at Sea World. Can't go wrong with cookies for breakfast, but I think I would have definitely had to go with the chocolate chip.
Seaworld is always great! Chocolate Chip is my tradition but I wanted to do something a little Christmassy!

So mad I'm actually crying! Twice the computer has gone off for the same problems to be fixed and twice it has come back with the same problems still unfixed. My scanner magically stopped working all of it's own accord it says software needs to be run again but software disk has magically disappeared then the computers memory is full of hundreds of photographs and videos and I can do nothing with them because still the drag to disk programme won't work and on top of that it's destroyed half a packet of blank cds on me testing it because once i use it to test it won't let me use the cd again in itunes or anywhere else. So pissed off right now.

Is that a fake whale in there?

The Seaworld decorations are really pretty. Another thing on my to do list.

I am so sorry about your computer. I would make sure everything is transfered to an external hardrive. It is sounding like the end days. Mine never completely died, but it was doing funky stuff too and I gave up. I also recently got a new printer/scanner. My old one kept having issues with all my computers. It would randonly tell me that the computer didn't reconginze the printer and I would uninstall it and reinstall...and after a few times it just wouldn't work either.

My laptop is now doing weird things...but there is no way I can buy another one as of now. if it goes...it will be a while before I can get a new one. Preferabbly NOT dell. I don't think it ever worked completely right.

It is. There was two or three of them in that area and at the entrance lighthouse I guess there's loads of fake sealions. They look really cool though.

Seaworld is a pretty park anyways I think the decorations added to it.

It's very frustrating esp because it was taken away twice and you expect it to come back fixed. Another example they supposedly took viruses off it yet security essentials is running now and has already found viruses on it. I don't understand computers at the best of time I'm just like find the on switch and press whatever button does something but it's frustrating when the programmes I know how to work stop working magically. I have managed to fix my scanner myself since I posted but drag to disk won't work and I need it to so i can both take the pictures off the computer and clear my cameras.:sad2:

Sorry to hear about your computer problems. :sad2: Hope it can get fixed for good soon. :goodvibes

It's kind of a pain. I mean last night did a whole trip update and clicked post and internet decided that it was going to crash and yet i'm told this is fixed! :sad2:

Where do you load your pictures too? I'm trying to remember my Xp. But everything went to my pictures. I think there is a thing on the left side that say burn to CD. Have you tried just clicking that and see if it burns? I know there was an option to drag too..but it never worked on my computer for pictures.

They load to my pictures but the burn cd doesn't come up at the side. I really don't get how one day it works fine and next day it doesn't work and now they're trying to claim that it's the cd's aren't compatable but again I'll ask how can they work one day and the next day not. I've just bought a new packet as well and first disk saved 4 pictures before telling me there was a media read error. Second disk I tried saved none but brought up same error as usual. Third disk saved 40 pictures before telling me there was a media error. The disks normally take 160 pics!

Plus I think my email accounts were hacked because on both accounts I got a spammy email from myself and a load of failed delivery notifications on one even though I've been away from computer for a few days!

Emma, I so feel your computer pain!:hug: I hope you are able to resolve things soon! :flower3:

I hope so to before I send it for a swim perferably!

Attempt number two at posting this update!

Day 10, part 2:

When I left off we were in the Sweet Sailing Candy Shop for the first of my Seaworld traditions. Cookies for breakfast:
DSCF2683.jpg

Cookies and Shamu cup in hand we headed towards our first show of the day but not before taking a few more pics of the entrance area:

The first show of the day was Blue Horizons the Whale and Dolphin (and acrobats) show. I like the dolphins and I get that they’re trying to make a story out of the show but I really don’t get the need for the acrobats half way through. It’s impressive but it’s meant to be a dolphin show not a human does tricks show. Anyways less talk more pictures:

So after watching the Dolphins it was time to run over to one of my favourite Seaworld shows the Sealion show with Clyde and Seamore. I love this show from the mime “welcoming” people into the stadium to the hilariously so unfunny you have to laugh puns through-out the show and the place was decorated for Christmas:

After that we went to Pacific Point Preserve to watch some hungry Sealions for a while. They make me laugh the way they sit on the edge of the pool looking up at the humans and giving out it’s like they’re saying stop looking at me stupid human and feed me. Then when someone throws them a fish they swim off happy out:

Next up Penguins, pets and food

Sounds like y'all were off to a good start for the day at SeaWorld!

I love the sea lions! :goodvibes

It is a dolphin show. The dolphins are showing you how well they have their pet human acrobats trained. :lmao::rotfl2:
