70 to Freezing in 7 hours. A Nov/Dec 2011 trip report. Updated 4/28

I'm sick (again!) got another bad cold. I should be in bed but who wants another update :)

Day 3, Part 5:

So we were headed towards the exit but we weren't leaving any time soon I had some fast passes that were burning a hole in my pocket so we headed towards Town Square Theatre. As I was going in I noticed the wait time for the Princesses was 40 minutes and for Mickey Mouse was 5 minutes :scared1: That shocked me. Why wasn't Mickey's line as long as Princesses?!
Anyways Momma went to find a chair to rest on and I went to Princess line first with my fast pass and waited about ten minutes before I got in the room and up to Princesses.
First was Aurora
SAM_1560.jpg

She said she liked my t-shirt (see CP post) I told her I wore it because we had lunch with Pooh bear. I had pigtail plaits in my hair that day and she said she liked them and asked if my fairies did them for me. I told her I didn't have any fairies that I did them myself so she said she thought she should get me to do her hair. No problemo I accept the job :goodvibes
Then on to Belle:
SAM_1561.jpg

She made a mess of my autograph nearly! She asked my name and I guess was going to write my name instead of Belle but she made it very scribbly to cover up the mistake and it's barely noticable now :rotfl:
She said she had read books on calligraphy and they were great and asked what my favourite books were. I couldn't think so off the top of my head said Harry Potter. She said they were Chips favourite books as well.
Last but not least came Cinderella:
SAM_1563.jpg

She asked how far I came in my pumpkin. I said 9 hours flight from Ireland. She asked if I was a princess there and I said no so she said I should be a Princess and at that point totally won my affection forevermore as I responded Yes I should be a Princess!! :)
I left the Princess room circled back to front of the building and went to use my fast pass for the Mouse which I really didn't need to use because his line was so short anyway (poor Mickey :( )
I took some pics in the Queue first
SAM_1558.jpg

SAM_1559.jpg

SAM_1565.jpg

SAM_1566.jpg

and soon enough I was getting hugs from my favourite Mouse:
SAM_1567.jpg

And again the t-shirt I had on got attention. The photopass lady thought it was cute that when I was standing to the left of Mickey it looked like Winnie the Pooh on my t-shirt was looking up at Mickey Mouse!
After having fun with the characters we went back out onto Main street to grab a good spot for the parade. I left Momma sitting and I took a few more scenery pics:
DSCF9070.jpg

DSCF9072.jpg

We sat on the corner just opposite the emporium outside of the Confectionary shop and off to the left as we were sitting I was looking at a certain character who was just standing there in front of where you'd get the fast passes for Mickey and the Princesses and there was nobody but the CM near her. I watched for about 5 minutes and she was standing waiting and still nobody going over. I did notice a few other people watching her but nobody seemed sure if she was taking pics or what. So I grabbed the autograph book and camera and ran on over and Miss Practically Perfect in every way Mary Poppins was indeed waiting for people to come over to her:
DSCF9069.jpg

She was admiring my pins and asked which my favourite was. I said Mickey Mouse :) And when I went over to her all the other people that had been watching came over behind me everyone was waiting for someone else to make the first move :lmao:
Before the parade there was one of those high school marching bands out I took pics of course:

Next up He's coming for me!

You had some really fun meet & greets! Sadly, I've never met the princesses. And I don't guess I ever will since I only have a boy. But, that's ok, he tells me I'm a princess all the time & that he's a good knight there to save me from the bad guy (daddy). Poor Daddy always has to be the bad guy! :lmao:

When we were there in May, there was hardly any wait for Minnie & Mickey. I guess a lot of people still just don't know that's where they are now. :confused3 Which is fine by me, since we have to go see them every trip. :thumbsup2

Nice day at MK! Looks like it must have been a bit crowded though with a 60 min wait on the board for Pooh.

Great use of FP to meet some characters. I don't know why anyone would want to wait 40 min to meet the princesses though when you can get an FP and do something else.

Who says you can't go meet them on your own??? :confused3

Actually, I have pictures that were taken with Cinderella when I was probably about Reid's age. Apparently I had kind of a crush on her.:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

You're right....I guess I could! :thumbsup2

That's funny! I've asked Reid several times if he'd like to go meet the princesses. I usually get 1 of 3 responses:

1. No! Princesses are for girls. I'm a boy!
2. If I mention Belle, he gets a shy look, turns away & just "NO!"
3. He tells me he's afraid to meet Ariel because she might splash him with her tail. :confused3

That last pic is very big :confused3 dunno why!

Is it because people don't know where he is? I thought he was less popular than the princesses and felt sorry. Wanted to give him extra hugs.

You should go alone to the princesses. Or tell him they said they wanted to meet your prince maybe then he'll go?

Yeah Magic Kingdom definately seemed to get busier as the day went on that day. I guess because it was open til midnight that day everyone went there when other parks closed or whatever. Maybe because it was weekend as well there was extra people there.

Fast passes are great idea for characters.

I like them especially the last one!

We still haven't made it into the new M&G area for the princesses and Mickey and Minnie. I wish we'd had made it for MNSSHP.

The school district I work for, the high school will be marching in Disney in April. One of my co-workers is excited for her son to be going, but so sad that she can't join him. I think that would be so fun!

The new meet and greet is cool and the little shop you come out in is cute although I didn't get any pics but it's full of Mouse themed items only.

We danced in the Magic Kingdom in 2005 and 2008 as part of Irish dancing school. We danced in Tomorrowland I think it was called Galaxtic theatre or something like that I believe it's gone now. But it's such an amazing experience. They told us we were "honoury cast members" for the day and of course you get to see a little bit of backstage. We saw where they had floats stored and where they let off the fireworks. They took us by bus from changing area to the stage area and at stage area first year Chip and Dale came back stage and some of the younger dancers were teaching them how to do the 1,2,3's which is basic irish dance step. It was really cute but we weren't allowed take pics backstage. I think it was 2005 they told us we broke park records because we were first group since Magic Kingdom had opened that managed to fill an outdoor venue and keep it full for the entire duration of the performance. They said most people just wander in and out of the venues like that but not ours and they said we were going to be in disney hall of fame with that. I dunno how true that was but that's what they told us. They also gave us an exclusive t-shirt and pin the first year and our dance teacher a banner and director mickey ears and the second year they gave us a different t-shirt and our dance teach got another set of ears and a performing mickey statue. It was brill. So yeah the marching bands must have so much fun as well :)

Day 3, Part 6:

Part 6 and it's only 3 o'clock :lmao: and what does 3 o'clock mean in Magic Kingdom:
BALLOONS:

No of course it was time for the Dream come true Parade and it wasn't raining this year. In 2010 when we saw this parade it poured rain but it was still fun anyways pics:

Stitch was very naughty. A little girl beside me had a massive pink and white lollipop and he tried to steal it off her.
DSCF2260.jpg

I took that pic and then went to get one of Figaro and the goldfish but noticed this instead:
DSCF2261.jpg

It's a hidden partners statue :)
I should also remind you that I was wearing my tinkerbell pin lanyard with these two pins on along with others:
KGrHqNo0E63YVtuPZBPCmnTpk960_12.jpg

KGrHqZpsE63ZjTVC4BPD1jP8qQ60_3.jpg

So I was taking my pics and doing my video taping and then I noticed a certain villian scowling right at me:
26_11_201120_01_0003.jpg

And then MOMMA HE'S COMING FOR ME!
26_11_201120_01_0005.jpg

He came over and picked up my pins and started shaking his finger at them apparently he didn't like the Tinkerbell ones then he threw the pins back down and Mr. Smee picked them up and dropped them just as quick like they were to hot to touch. It was kinda a funny moment but also a first because we've never had characters interact with us like that in the parade before so was cool. :goodvibes
Anyway on with the parade pics:

After the parade we hung around Main street for a while and I took more pics of the shop windows. Emporium was cute they had story of Mickey's Christmas Carol displayed in their windows:
DSCF2266.jpg

DSCF2267.jpg

At 3.35 (park times are so handy to keep for trip reports) we watched the Dapper Dans. I was so excited bout this because I saw so many vids but never saw them for myself:
DSCF2270.jpg

They sang a good few songs and then posed for pics. Momma wasn't impressed by them. I thought they were great!

Next up Onwards for Adventure!

Such fun parade interaction! :goodvibes And you got some really nice parade pictures, too! :thumbsup2

I also really like the pictures of the windows displays of Mickey's Christmas Carol. We love that movie.

Wow, fun interactions during the parade. I've never really had any experiences like that either. That's some nice extra pixid dust! :thumbsup2

I'm glad that you were able to figure out that the 3 o'clock parade is at 3 o'clock! :lmao:

Great shot of the Dapper Dans...we have never seen them either.....yet.

I love disney parades. The interaction was fun though.. The blurrier pics were from the video camera!

I thought the window displays were cute. Wish they would bring that movie out on dvd over here. I haven't seen it for sale for years and would love a copy of it.

I think the t-shirt that was floating about the parks gave us the hint about the parade. You know the one with Goofy on wondering what tiem the parade is at.

It was a fun parade. I was videoing at the time and was like why does he seem to be looking at me and taping his hook at me oh cripes he's getting closer and all ya can hear in background is Momma laughing. :lmao:

Great shot of the Dapper Dans...we have never seen them either.....yet.
They were brill. They sang all Christmas songs for the season. I'd like to hear their halloween set as well. They got some dude out of crowd to sing with them as well and they posed for pics after.

attempt number two at updating I actually typed this last night and deleted it by mistake! I'm sick I'm tired I need a disney trip this is next best thing:

Day 3, Part 7:
By the time the Dapper Dans were over Momma had decided we would stay until park close and get taxi back to the hotel :cheer2: so we headed off towards our next Adventure!
I'm alway trying to find things to do that we haven't done before in order to prove to Momma that there is a point in going to the same place 5 times and we hadn't really done most of the rides in Adventureland so we headed that way.
DSCF2277.jpg

We were crossing that bridge over to Adventureland and I had the video camera out in one hand still because I hadn't put it away after the Dapper Dans. I also had my camera in my hand and was linking arms with Momma on the other side when we came across ULTIMATE RUDE UNDISNEY LIKE GUY! We were walking along minding our own business and he literally plowed right through me so hard he nearly knocked me over, plus nearly knocked the stuff out of my hand and hurt my should in the process. Then I looked back because he had come from nowhere and he was throwing me the worst look imaginable as if I had done something wrong. I was shocked. Momma said I hadn't done anything because I was just walking in a straight line and he just plowed right through me. We weren't going to let the ultimate grump spoil our day though so we continued on towards the Jungle cruise to grab some fast passes.
The we went off to explore the Swiss Family tree house. I don't ever remember doing this and wait time was 0 minutes so win win for me. Momma said we did it in 1995 though! Whatever pics:

I was daring mother to stand in front of the camel but don't think she trusted me:
DSCF2278.jpg

We then went off to do the new old tiki room:
DSCF2287.jpg

IMG_0526.jpg

I loved the singing totem poles:
IMG_0531.jpg

Finally it was time to use our Jungle Cruise Fast passes. Wait time for the stand by line was 40 minutes. Momma said she liked the idea of fast passes and I had to agree :) We've never done this before so I found the guides jokes fairly amusing and seemed to be the only one on the boat laughing at them. Oh well! Pics:

Plus we made it safely back to dry land just in time to head back towards the hub for something I had been waiting for since the you tube videos I saw last May made me cry!

Next up I made you smile!

So sorry about the rude undisney like guy! :headache: I hate it when you have to deal with rude people anywhere, but especially at Disney!

I love the Jungle Cruise! I don't care how many times I ride it, I still laugh at all the jokes.

He was really shocking because it was so unexpected and he really hurt my shoulder.

I was laughing but trying to keep it quiet because nobody else seemed to be laughing with me. :rotfl:

He wasn't pushing a stroller was he? :rolleyes1 Just kidding, I'm pretty sure I didn't run anyone over while we were there. :lmao:

I'm sorry you had a rude guest experience. It seems there were a few of them around.

I always appreciate the puns on Jungle Cruise. I always laugh, but it usually right after I groan.:rotfl2::rotfl: Nothing like some cheesy puns to make things better.

I'm sorry you couldn't get your momma to stand by the camel. I can't believe she wouldn't trust you.:rolleyes1 :rotfl:

Nope no stroller. Maybe he had a row with his other half he seemed very huffy! :confused3

I heard more groans than laughs on our cruise lol!

I'm sorry you couldn't get your momma to stand by the camel. I can't believe she wouldn't trust you.:rolleyes1 :rotfl:

I think she'd actually seen it spitting before I told her to stand in front of it. That or the wet patch on the ground might have given it away. I did trick her on another ride though (it pays to read about these things in advance :) )

Are photopass usually really slow. I was looking on the order status it said I ordered it on the 8th it was shipped on the 13th and it not here yet. Maybe it's just international postage that's exceptionally slow :confused3 I'm like a child waiting for Christmas though waiting for this cd because i want to start my dvds and I left space in the facebook albums for photopass pics :rotfl:

So I'll treat yee to one more update before crazy starts again. I've been sick all week so didn't go to college and did no college work in my sickness I read Kingdom Keepers II instead :littleangel: So back to work tomorrow and have to edit the radio show and then have to spend next week catching up on the radio shows as I have material for 4 shows now and haven't done one and I also have to write another 2000 words of the first essay that is due up :scared1:

Anyways

Day 3, part 8:
We made it out to the hub on time to grab a good spot and I was literally bouncing with excitement. I'd seen videos of this in May and cried. I'd watched them randomly since then and got excited and cried and couldn't wait to see it for myself. Quick pic while I was waiting:
DSCF9102.jpg

Then the Move it, Shake it street party came along :rotfl: we may have got there a little early for the main event but whatever I finally got a good pic of Minnie in the street party :
DSCF9107.jpg

I got the Main mouse as well:
DSCF9108.jpg

I noticed that the mice don't get off the floats for the dance party as well which I thought was odd. Anyways once that drove/simmied/danced off it was time for the main event. I asked Momma if she wanted to get closer but she said no so she sat on the back of a bench in the hub but she said she could see anyway I just told her make sure you can see stage and castle she was happy enough. I went a little closer to get video and pics because it was time to light the castle (warning overload of castle photos coming up) :

It was amazing and beautiful and I laughed and cried. The videos are great but there is nothing like seeing it for real. It was just outstanding and I went back to Momma once I had my fill of standing there gobsmacked and normally when I went back to her after these shows or whatever she would look a tad bit bored (prob of the waiting around more so although she doesn't have the same love of disney as i do) but this time she had the biggest smile on her face she thought it was gorgeous. Her comment was that she felt very lucky to have seen the castle lit up like that in person. We stood and gazed in wonder for a while longer before heading on to our next destination.

Next up I thought that was only for MVMCP!

Awwww, that's so sweet that the castle lights made your mom smile! :goodvibes

Sounds like y'all had a really nice night!

The castle was gorgeous. Every where I walked in the park from that point onwards my head would swivel back to have another look at the castle. I think Momma wants someone to do our house like that next Christmas. I'm up for that :rotfl:
