I have 3 boys...ages 10, 7 and 4. We are going on the Fantasy in early March, and the rules for the Aquaduck are confusing. All 3 are over 42", and the eldest is over the 54" to ride alone. The 7 year old cannot ride alone (too short) - can the 10 and 7 year olds ride together? Both are above 42", and only under 7's need to be accompanied by someone 14 or older.

I am assuming the 4 year old will ride with Daddy.

This leaves me with the option to relax instead of getting wet, lol.

Keep in mind that they don't always let people go alone. My son was over 5 feet and he was turned away as a solo rider a couple of times. I also saw one skinny 12? year old trying to bump his dingy through the tube as something happened and it wasn't carrying him along. Not sure what it was all about, but a lifeguard had to walk him out of the tube.

Our table mates' daughters were able to ride together age 7 and 9, both over 42 inches.

My son is very tall for his age and will not ride alone for a long time still (he is 9) because he's so skinny.
We were told good chance he'll get stuck.
The heavier the raft the faster it goes. I first went with DS 6 and was like.. oh ok. Not too fast.
Then went with DH and oh man Turbo raft!

My 8 yr old dd(only child) was just tall enough last year when we cruised. She usually went with either my dh or I. Several times though, some other girl would come up to my dd and ask her to go ride it with her. It would be another girl around the same age/height as my dd and they were always allowed to go together.

There is something else: they go by height, but they should also go by weight. There were some tall enough kids but super light on our last cruise, and they got stuck EACH TIME. Each time, the ride went down for one hour, because they had to fetch them from somewhere within. They were too light weight.
