7-Night Western Caribbean Cruise July 25 - August 1, 2009

Ok, so we just returned from our San Diego trip and I hope that I am updated on everything going on.

Was the last FE list that was emailed to me the most up to date one? We have received our FE from eBay and it is very cute... it will match our t-shirts we had made.

Is there a get-together on the ship? When and where is it?

Is anyone opposed to rubber snakes and other creepy animals as FE gifts? We were at the San Diego Zoo and I purchased a bunch of them for the boys. I have 3 girls so I couldn't help myself since they are princesses...

I saw a few photos and I will try to post ours. Everyone's family looks great!

My 12 year old daughter, Bethie, would really like to meet some new friends on this trip. She's a little shy, and worried about meeting new people. If anyone has a DD who would like to trade a few e-mail with Bethie to get to know each other before the cruise, PM me and I'll get you her e-mail address.

And am I mistaken, or are almost all of us going to be at the Palo brunch? They really have no idea what's about to hit them, do they?

My oldest DD is 12. She will be back from camp on Monday and then they could exchange email addresses. She is also on Facebook. It would be nice if they know others that will be there...

Very imporant, please let me know if the Promenade Lounge at 3:00 pm on July 25 is convenient for all, or if you have any other idea, share with us as soon as possible so we can have a final plan on this! the safety drill is at 4:00 pm so we have about 45 minutes for updates, pictures etc. I'll try to set it up!

Hello and welcome back, the meet is going to be at the Promenade lounge at 3:00 pm, there we are planning to take a group picture and update the FE list for the lucky ones that are getting upgrades, hope to see you there, and great for the FE gifts my DD is very into all types of animals, as a matter of fact her favorite park is Animal Kingdom, she says "they are God's creation!" blessings

We are leaving Maryland in one week (next Friday) early and driving to Jacksonville. It should be about a 2.5 hour trip on Saturday morning to the ship!! Is anyone staying around after the cruise? We are staying at the Country Inn and Suites for 2 nights to tour Cape Canaveral and Cocoa Beach. Hope everyone has a safe and uneventful trip to the Magic! Looking forward to meeting you all

I just had my 2 DD's that are home (my oldest DD is still at camp until Monday) try on their pirate costumes and formal dresses. We borrowed the costumes from a friend and their dresses were dresses from a wedding that DD's were flower girls in. We are very excited and getting packed. I never pack this early before a trip (usually I pack the day before or the day of) so this is a good thing for me.

I cannot figure out how to post a family photo... can anyone clue me in. I have a mac.

Thought I would answer some of the conversations that have been going around.......It took me a little longer than I thought to put together my FE gifts........but HAPPY to say they are ALL done!

We are planning to do the martini tasting, our oldest is 23 so he will be joining us as well.

5K on Castaway Cay - we are hoping to run it......my daugher (11) was in a program this last year called "girls on the run" they trained for 10 weeks and then ran a 5K.......I ran also, my first time and it was a great feeling to finish. So we have been running and hoping to do it on Castaway Cay, along with one of my sons. From things I have read it's a very low key "fun" event and even if someone wants to walk it I think that would be fine. Trust me I am NO runner......just a beginner here!

Princess Runner - SOOOO happy That gradsmommy was able to make you a new FE.........great customer service......but I'm sure you didn't need that panic at the last minute!

Susan - Bachelorette Show - I noticed no one said they were watching. Either no one is, or no one wants to admit to it!!! I have watched them in the past and find them pretty funny!! I knew I wouldn't have the time to watch this new show with it going on during the summer, so I have it all DVR'd!!! Haven't really heard any buzz about it, but then again I haven't gone looking for any either. Has it been a good show? Full of lots of "amazing things" and DRAMA!!!! Hoping to sit down some rainy day and watch it all!!!

Marchdreamer - Snakes! Bring them on! Just moved to NC and I am proud to say I have already killed my first Copper Head snake....ok it was a baby one, but it still hissed at me and it took 4 hits before I had it in two pieces!!!

As far as excursions go it looks like my family and wideyedwonder family (greg) will be spending time together.........so I want to tell you right now, if you want to pretend you don't know me when it comes time for zipping down those zip lines, I will totally understand! As I will most likely be screaming my head off. I do NOT like heights.....but from what I hear, it is suppose to be a wonferful experience! Everyone in the family is totally looking forward to doing them.......so I figured WHY NOT?? Best to enjoy these experiences as a family as long as possible!

We are driving down on Friday also and spending the night in downtown Disney, our oldest son will be flying in from Ohio, (our old home state) Plan to do some shopping and then heading over to the port in the morning.

After the cruise we are planning on spending two days at Universal Studios. Our youngest doesn't even remember going there on a past trip.

Well back to packing and making up my list of things I still need to purchase.........which thankfully isn't much.

Safe travels to everyone!

Oh, and I will try my hardest to make the 3:00 meet, not sure if the entire family will make it, but I will try to be there!

Awesome! that you'll join us in the run, I just have to find out the details once in the ship, the say the Castaway Cay 5k is a great way to get out of the ship before everyone else, by the way it's pretty pleasant to run in the ship's track! hopefully you guys can make it to the meet so we can take a nice group picture, blessings and looking forward to see you soon!

Just returned last night from a fantastic ABD trip and now I have to focus on this cruise! I have quickly scanned all the pages I have missed. Is the wonderful FE list I got July 1 still accurate? I don't want to miss anyone. I have all of the gifts in piles and need to put it all together now. Thanks for planning a meet at 3pm. Can't wait to board, meet everyone, and RELAX!
