7-Night Western Caribbean Cruise July 25 - August 1, 2009

I have a 10 year old daughter, and this will be her second Disney cruise. Let me know if you want her to email your daughter, they can talk some cruise stuff to get your DD (and DS) more comfortable about everything...and give my DD a companion to look forward to!

This would be wonderful. I tried sending my email but have not posted 10 messages yet so we can't include email. I will try and get more posted but if you can post your email, she can access and send to your DD. She will be eagerly awaiting.

My first time to Disney World was for my honeymoon, 25 years ago! I fell in love with the place and couldn't wait to have children to share it with them.

We will be sailing with all 4 of our children celebrating our anniversary.

Elcka - GF, so sorry to hear about what happened to your FE. Hope you will be able to find way to fix it. I received mine last Saturday with Marielle's pillow and they are so BEAUTIFUL. If I find time (IF), I will post a picture here. I am making the FE and magnets as surprise to my family but when I saw my FE, can't help but show it to the kids. They loved it but still no idea what is it for, they think it is for our mails/bills at home

Any fellow crusiers share my Bachelorette Woes? The final episode is airing in 2 weeks while we are at sea... I have been hooked on this show, even though I can't believe I enjoy watching these young couples get their hearts ripped out in national television.

I guess I'll have to DVR it...

So I have a stupid FE question. Since I'm such a Newbie (not only first Disney cruise, but first cruise ever!), I'm wondering if the FE exchange is something unique to the Dis-board or are there usually other groups with FEs going on at the same time?

Oh, and Elcka, yes per your request I'm saying a prayer for the repair of your FE. I realize it's not the end of the world, but I can guess how you must have felt. All excited to get your FE, only to open it and have your heart sink. I will bring your gifts no matter what your FE looks like! *mental note... bring something stress-relieving for Elcka!*

We have an extra bed in our room (long story) and is pile with stuff for the cruise, I asm washing and ironing all we are taking will start packing next Monday, when my husband is at work and the kids are in summer camp because otherwise I'll go nuts!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for your prayers, for everyone prayers! and Pixie Dust sent my way: she e-mailed me back last night and had all taken care before her trip so made me a new FE and is in the mail already!!, just for laughs I'll bring the one that was made wrong so you can see how and why I was devastated!!!!, I let my DH thinks she did not answer my e-mail and that he is going to live with the embarrasment of me hanging that hilarius representation of him, so surprise # 1 was ruined because he actually saw me freaking out and crying, but he doesn't know that we are getting the right one so still a surprise.

Is there any news about the meet? can I help in any way?

I looked into one of the threads and most of them said that Promenade Lounge at 3:00 pm is a good place, also we can make a sign for the meet, I don't remember if someone is working on this already but some also had the FE list available in case of changes/upgrades, also a group picture is taking then, please let me know if this sounds good, if someone has already took care of this details, or if there is any other idea going around, Blessings to all

I also heard the PL at 3:00 is a good time/place to meet. The sign sounds like a good idea too. I had heard that some groups al wear a bright colored name tag, but the sign sounds easier!!
And I LOVE the picture idea!!!

My birthday is Thursday so I will be celebrating it at the Magic Kingdom!!!!
Then it is off to the Magic on Saturday for a Back to Back Magical Cruise! See you all on the second half!

Yes, we are doing that as well. It was going to be too close if we flew in on Saturday. Flying from CA I can see that as well. What time do you get in on Friday? We get in around 7:30 p.m. or so.

We are scheduled to arrive at 5:45pm. For those of you who are staying at the MCO the night before, I'll post my room number here some time around 7pm Florida time...and maybe we can get together for beer, wine, or a cocktale.

I've been very interested in how ground transfers from the Hyatt work for the 7-day cruises, and this is what I've been told by a fellow DISer:

"We were told to meet in a Hyatt lobby conference room the morning of the cruise. We got there around 8:00 and had to wait for them to set up in the conference room. DCL then checked you in FOR THE BUS ONLY. We did not get boarding numbers or KTTW cards. Were were on the first bus (Captain Mickey Bus) that left the Hyatt that day at 9:40 or so. We were at the port by 10:20 and received boarding pass number 2. We were escorted down to the bus which was located outside the Hyatt and only had our carryons with us. We were instructed to leave our luggage in the hotel room before 8:00 am and they would be delivered to our cabin."

I'm not sure if it will be tears or a sigh of relief! DH & I have demanding careers and have to vacation where our cell phones can't ring!!!
DH & I have now decided we want to go to Palo. DD says she forgives me as long as I don't go to the Spa for a manicure without her! Girls!
So now I'm begging for prayers and pixie dust that a reservation will open up!

We're all getting so excited about vacation! Hooray!

In our first cruise we were left last for Palo reservation, concierge level gets first pick, castaway club members second and the rest last, so we were last and did not get reservation on line, as soon as you get in the ship, that will be deck 3 go toward the Guest service, past that is the adults area (club, disco) you'll see tables set with cast members and computers, they are in charge to make/change reservations for Palo and other stuff, because remember they need to leave some available spots for the ones that don't do internet, it would be unfair otherwise, so that is how we did it, and we'll have to do this time too, because I didn't get to that on time (and I could have), my only recommendation is to do that as soon as you set foot in the ship. Very imporant, please let me know if the Promenade Lounge at 3:00 pm on July 25 is convenient for all, or if you have any other idea, share with us as soon as possible so we can have a final plan on this! the safety drill is at 4:00 pm so we have about 45 minutes for updates, pictures etc. I'll try to set it up!
