I'm finally getting in the Disney spirit! After a 9-hour work day, I went shopping for a couple of hours! (DD and DH had other activities to keep busy!)
Disney Store, Great Party, and Walgreens. I can't believe how much fun I have shopping for people I don't even know.

We (DH & I) originally decided we would not go to Palo on this cruise as we wanted to make sure DD liked the Oceaneer Lab. So I'm thinking differently, and checked. Palo is all booked up. Boo-Hoo. Per a previous post, I will check at Rockin-D when we get there.
Oh, and it appears we are 2 doors down from DLRPfan.de
Our daughters are a few years apart but we will be sure to say hello!

When are those tastings?

If you are interested in doing any of the tastings I would go to guest services and sign up on the first or second day. I think they are 15.00 a person. The times will be listed in the daily navigators, which is the newsletter you receive each evening telling you what will be happening the next day. But if you ask at Guest Services for the ones you are interested in, they can tell you the day and times and you can then sign up.

Forgive me, as I don't remember if this is your first cruise or your first cruise with DCL.......but there is also a galley tour, (kitchen) and it's free, but you have to be 18 and over. You can sign up for this at guest services also

Another thing that is fun to do is to drop off a photo mat with markers (sharpies) to guest services. They will have all the characters sign it for you and it will be returned to your stateroom on the last night. OR you can drop off a pillow case and have that signed or anything else you might think of........I know some people make up autograph books and drop off the pages from the book to have the characters sign them and then on the facing page they place a picture of the character.[/QUOTE]

The wedding is one week from today, the 18th...then we leave early the next morning for a week in WDW before going on to the cruise! Not really interested in the romance packages. Too much money. Neither of us have ever done anything tropical or cruise-like before so I think just the experience of the cruise, on top of our excursion, will be way enough.

You must be going crazy! but it will be so well worth it, I agree the Spa Villa is very expensive and there is so much to do in the ship already, don't forget to check the rainforest thing at the spa, we discovered on the last day and is something to take advantage of, you don't need reservation or anything if you go to the cruise report threads you'll find more info. You'll be in my prayers on your wedding day!

Looks like everything is set for our FE. The only thing in my list that needed confirmation is from Disney Davs, SR 8000 and SR 6514 (Susan).

If your FE doesn't arrive in time just put a small book bag type tote on your fish. We will find you

I also ordered from gradysmommy. I ordered a pillowcase on June 25th and received it last week. When I asked about a FE she said she didn't have time to make one for me as she was going to be travelling.

The dates she gave me in a message for her travels were June 28 - July 6 and then July 15 for 3 weeks.

She also mentioned that she was busy completing all of the FE's that had been ordered and that was why she couldn't do one for me.

So I would hang in there.........she is a very popular selling on Ebay and is a member of the disboards, so I'm sure she is busy finishing up the last FE's before she leaves on the 15th. But to play it safe you might want to email her and ask for it to be overnighted, after all she did tell you, that you would have it by the 16.

Good luck, and as another poster said "just hang a bag out there" no one will care and you don't want to disappoint the kids!

In Feb. 2007 (um... not to make anybody jealous here...) our family was randomly picked to be the Grand Marshall family in the Magic Kingdom parade. We were given Mickey ears with our names on them and my daughter thinks we should bring those. Any ideas?
Also, for the person who hasn't gotten their FE since June 16th... go on Ebay an contact a seller about overnight shipping of an FE. It might not be cheap, but you wouldn't miss out on the fun!

I've emailed my seller again. Hopefully it will be here. I can't see spending another chunk of change......we'll just have to get creative if the FE doesn't arrive in time. Thanks!

I'm just going to trust in the pixie dust. I saw her vacation dates, so maybe it's on its way as we speak I asked her overnight it in my last email, just in case. All will be well, no matter what. We're going to Disney World!

We were given our room assignment right after we booked with a travel agent. We got cabin 2074 which seems to have a good review, but does not have a balcony. Has anyone ever done an upgrade on embarkation day?

I believe this ship is booked to capacity,but you could ask. We were originally in a cat. 11 room. Disney called us in June with a time-limited offer for an upgrade for specific fee, which we decided to do. How these offers are are sent out, I do not know.
And remember, you mostly sleep in your room anyway!

I had the same issue with ebay FE maker.. I ordered it in the middle of May, just got email that it was sent last Friday, it will come with a tracking slip from US post office... we will probably have twin Fishes!

I ordered from Gradysmommy too, on July 8 I got an e-mail from paypal that my order was being ship, check your e-mails, she told me when I placed the ordered that it was going to be ship the week of the 5th, I am hoping to get it some time next week, please let me know the answer to you e-mail just in case I need to be aware of something!!! blessings

I AM a teacher! I wanted to pick a date right in the middle of the summer so that there will be time before and time after. I don't know how people plan a wedding when working! I feel like this has been my full time job since school got out three weeks ago.

And then after we picked our date, it led us right to this cruise!! (With a week of WDW in between, of course!

We just learned about this site and jave find it very interesting and informative. This is our second cruise for myself, DH and DD- 10 but first time for DS -6. Is anyone on the cruise with children around their ages. It would be great to have them meet early to get over the concern they are having about not having friends. We don't have a stateroom yet because we recently upgraded. We are from Illinois. Looking forward to meeting everyone.
