Wow...eleven people! Sounds like you're bringing your own party. I've got a daughter that will be 12 on the cruise, and she's a veteran of the children's programs...she wants you to tell your young people that making flubber in the Oceanear's Lab is just the best!

Hi everyone! Just to let you all know we had a great "Pre-Cruise-Meet" with "Bluefire" from Australia last weekend in Disneyland resort Paris. We had a great "Halloween" time, some drinks together, and even went to the Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show... It is now already a meet we will never forget, and we're lookin' forward to meet again on the cruise!
It's a small world after all !

I am having such a hard time containing my excitement! I keep wanting to DO something to get ready for the trip or PLAN something but it's just too soon to do anything else! I can't wait for 5/11. In case you didn't know, that's the non-CC members excursion/etc. booking date!

Greetings from the windy state of Oklahoma. It's almost 2009, so we're getting close. The daughter will be 12 in just a few weeks, and is lamenting the fact this will be her last trip in the Oceaneer's Lab.

We've finalized our hotel plans. We're checking into the Beach Club Villa's on the Monday before we leave. If anyone else will be staying here, pop me a line and we can meet and squeal before we leave.

Oh man....I can almost taste the rum runners on the deck.....sigh.....

Today, we are under the 200 day mark. 199 from today!!

I can't wait to get there. My 12 year old daughter is so looking forward to making new friends from other countries.

Now I just have to lose about 120 pounds so I can wear a swimsuit without embarrassment. Oh well, perhaps I'll just say I'm a Disney character and not worry about it.

We are going on the July 25 WC for our 10 year anniversary and CAN'T WAIT!!!! It will be my 7 year old daughters first cruise and I am so excited for her!

That's nice that you went on your honeymoon on DCL and are going again for your 10 year anniversary! This will be our honeymoon and I hope we are able to do it again for an important anniversary!

So you guys mean that not everyone on the cruise looks like the people on the DCL planning video?! GOOD!! I was watching it like, Oooh I hope it isn't filled with all skinny, beautiful, fancy people!!!

Have never been on a Disney Cruise-
My parents are blowing our inheritance and bringing their three children, their spouses and 6 grandkids. So we are 14 family members traveling together. My brother is a former employee of DL california, but lives in Colorado with the rest of us now.
I am the biggest Disney fan of the bunch - I go to DL or WDW annually - usually at off-peak times. Cannot wait for the cruise, hoping to get to know some folks and get some tips.
I wouldn't have known where to start but I nice gentleman I met in Oct. at Disneyland gave me some pointers. The first thing he said was to get on this site and to chat with people. I have also never done a 'thread before' - What the heck is a DD, DS etc -sorry I don't have text messaging either!

I also have a great tip for you (and fellow "first-time" DCL cruisers) Of course you can find a lot of information on the Internet about DCL, but there is also a great book about DCL: The Disney Cruise Line Birnbaum Guide 2009. There you really can find lot's and lot's of useful information about our upcoming cruise. But if you (or anybody else) has questions: just shoot!

Yeps I know: there are so many wonderful things and occasions to eat on board.... a "small" diet before the cruise wont hurt... I promise to start somewhere next week..., or maybe next month .... or maybe some pixiedust will do the trick
