7 Night Cruise Pricing

For March 11, 2006 - is $1936 a good price for a category 12 guarentee? Has anyone reserved a category 12 guarentee for a 7 night cruise and have been upgraded? Thanks.

We cruised March 6, 2004 and paid $899 for a GTY11 - we were upgraded to a 9. I have been amazed at how much rates have increased since we booked in Sept, 03.

I am also booked on that cruise and I think that is an excellent price for two people and if there are more than two included in that price, please pm me the name of your travel agent. Disney has released "Magical Rates" for that sailing, thus the excellent price. I checked a couple of months ago and the price for three in an GTY 11 was over 3500 and I booked for 2515. They will sell up to 50 cabins at that price in a catagory 12, which in reality, there are only 13 catagory 12, so at least 37 cabins will have to upgraded at least to an 11! (There are alot of 11's)

I think it will be an excellent time to sail as it is not hurricane season and after the winter, we are all itching to feel the sun in a bad way. There is a cruise meets thread for that sailing but it is pretty dead at this point. I hope more people will join.

Over on the DVC board, when a new member comes to the board, we all say "Welcome Home" . Here, I think I will just say "Welcome Aboard!"

That price is for two people. I booked through Costco Travel.

I think it is a good price for Disney. We are on the 18th sailing and there are 4 of us. Two adults and two children, 5 and 2 1/2. We booked a cat 12 also and with 4 we will definitely be upgraded as 4 people wont fit in a cat 12. We have done this for a past two cruises and the first time we where upgraded to a 9 and the second to a 10. I love getting more than I paid for. Just remember that any room on the magic is great!. Enjoy and and have fun!
