7 months pregnant and Pooh ride

Just wondering if anyone has ridden the Pooh ride (specifically the Tigger bouncing part), when 7 months pregnant or further along and how it went? I'm wondering if I should skip this ride to avoid inducing contractions. One time, at 8 months pregnant, I rode a hay ride and the bumpiness caused false Braxton Hicks. TIA.

I'm not a doctor but the bouncing on Tigger is not a level that you haven't experienced before. Your doctor is the one that should be making the call on what he/she advises for this trip though.

From what I understand the baby is pretty well protected in there so simple little bumping should be safe. When you get to 9 months and you want to move things along ToT is a good choice though.

Good luck with the new baby.

I had no trouble on Pooh. I rode 2 weeks before I had my last baby.

I'm not a big girl, but I did have a very tight squeeze on Toy Story starting around 7 months so I skipped that!

Insert disclaimer here that I'm not a doctor and he/she should be consulted. ;)

I rode it at 7-1/2 mos pregnant -- not even the slightest concern about doing so, and no problem at all when I did so. :)

I rode it fine while pregnant. :-). The bounce is a control glided bounce and really isn't jerky. Kilimanjaro Safari may be a ride to think twice about. (I have ridden and was fine and in other pregnancies skipped it unless near term (I lived close enough to be a day guest).)

Are you talking about Toy Story Midway Mania in HS or Buzz Lightyear in MK, because Buzz Lightyear has a pregnancy advisory due to this, but TSMM does not?

Just remembered something kinda' funny... When I asked my doc at 7-1/2 mos. if he thought the Safari was ok (he's very familiar with WDW), he asked me if I thought carriage rides cross country way back in the day were any smoother for pregnant women. His way of saying it was fine, in his medical opinion. :)

KS is nothing more than a truck ride! I've been on bumpier rides down gravel roads in the country.

OP, lots of things can cause Braxton Hicks and they're nothing to be concerned about.

We rode the Safari in the back seat our first and only time riding it. We found out on that ride that ds was motion sick - he was so pale and sick looking I was afraid he wouldn't make it through the whole ride. Besides Barnstormer, there is no other ride in WDW that he doesn't like (he is tall enough to go on BMTR, but not Space Mtn.). I definitely would not ride the Safari in the back seat pregnant! I have heard the front seat isn't as bad.

To each his own, for sure! I always ride in the back to get good photos and did the same at 7-1/2 mos pregnant. Not an issue at all for me.

Just the same--I'm pretty sure it has an advisory. But I mentioned it mostly to say I would be more concerned with that bouncing then with the controlled raising and lowering of the honey pot on pooh. ;-)

I rode the Pooh ride at Disneyland at 32 weeks, and the bouncing was fine, but I recommend trying to sit in the car before you board. It was the only ride I had trouble fitting into, but I *think* the cars are different at WDW.

I would think that if you can ride in a car on the streets, you're fine to ride Pooh.

Unless your pregnancy is of a delicate nature that you haven't told us. But if it is, I would imagine you wouldn't be going to WDW in the first place.

I was fine. Even rode Mr. Toad (In Disneyland). I did skip Safari in AK, but Pooh is nothin' to worry about. I even ran the 1/2 marathon with DS in belly that year.

As an aside: my mom is a Nurse-Midwife, and she was looking out for me with every ride. She did think Star Wars was OK at 5month, but I did not ride it b/c of motion sickness. I was the typical sick pregnant person with DS! Talk to your midwife/dr.

I was 30wks preggo at my last trip. My midwife was fine with me going on anything I would put my 1yo on. Pooh was no problem. The only thing that I regretted was the Safari (which my MW specifically said was ok...but all that bumping did get some braxton hicks going!)

Add me to the list. I rode Pooh around 33 weeks with my 3rd. I had been having tons of BH, but they didn't change much at Disney . Still went overdue with all 3 anyway :-)
