Am looking to make reservations next february and have a mix of BWV, OKW and SS points (all on same membership).. so this is my question... Can I book first two nights at 11 months out at BW on BW pts, yes... then at 7 months out from first night can I add remaining nights on existing reservation using non-bw points... I would not be creating a new reservation just extending my existing.. or do I need to wait for the 7 month mark on each of the nights I am adding?

if you book the first 2 nights with BWV pts, you can mix the rest together starting 7 months from the 3rd night.

(sorry - first answer was off.)

Book as much as you can at 11 months with the BW points. Then at 7 months, you can use the other points. It will go in as 2 separate reservations, but just call and have the reservations linked. If you don't link them, then you may have to check out and back into a different room.

You also could check and see if those first two nights are available right at 7 months and then book a new reservation using the non-BWV points and BWV points if you think the availability would be lost by waiting 2 days.

Looking to book at same resort and add nights to existing reservation (which points in same membership for different resort) which is why I would like to book at 7 months out from first night... does that make sense?

I am not looking to have two separate reservations since all points are in same member number... We don't want to have to change keys during trip.

If you are using non home resort points for the rest of the nights you can't book additional nights unless you can cancel the first reservation and rebook as a non home resort. You can't have a reservation that is a combination of home resort and non home resort points. Either you make a separate reservation and link the non-home resort to the home reservation or you have to cancel and hope to have full availability at 7 months. It is not considered adding days to an additional reservation when the reservation is made during home resort priority and the other points are from elsewhere.

I understand what you are saying... but here is what I am struggling with... I am not looking to skirt around home resort priority I am awaiting for the 7 month mark for the beginning of my reservation (please keep in mind that I have one membership with mulitple contracts and resorts) I would like to add the additional two nights at the 7 month mark of my 1st night as I would be able to that anyway if I was booking all on the nights at the seven month mark on non-home resort points.. does that make sense??

I believe that we all understand what you are trying to do but don't believe you can do it that way. What I and someone else suggested of your rebooking at the first night of the 7 months will work but I agree that I don't think you can extend a home resort booking with non-home resort until you are at 7 months for the start of the non-home resort nights.

Maybe MS would say otherwise but I believe that the system won't allow it to be done the way you are hoping. Rebooking the first two nights + however many more you need would be the only option other than waiting for the new 7 month mark.
