7 Month mark question?

Our 7 month mark is coming soon. We have 10 days already booked and have banked the rest (very few) points left for the current use year. Wwe would like to do a split stay forthe first 3 days of our stay. I forgot: is MS going to cancel the first 3 days then find inventory then book. Or can they find inventory hold it then cancel and rebook? I don't want to lose what I have. Would MS be able to know how much inventory they have of a particular room?

They can find the inventory, but they can't book until after they cancel your old ressie unless you have enough points left in your use year to cover both ressies at once. Since you have banked left over points already, I'm going to guess that isn't the case, so they will need to take their chances by canceling first and then booking. Good luck!

They can tell how much inventory for a particular room type? Do I have any other alternative to waitlisting even if they have limited inventory open? Thanks for the
