I too am looking forward to the discounts

we have room only ressies for Oct 12 -19 and with the 7 for 5 offer can you still have room only or does it come with tickets.

we got our tickets as a christmas presents so we dont need them.

Im hoping that I can just get the room discount.

I heard it only comes with tickets, otherwise it wouldn't be a package. You get UPH's.

The 7 for 5 deal is really not that great. It works out to 28% off the MOST EXPENSIVE way to go... UPH are almost never the best choice for tickets, and 28% is signifacantly lower than the room only discounts we have been seeing. Still you could book this when it comes out, just in case, then also book room only. If room only codes come out for your dates cancel the package, if not cancel the room onlys.

This is exactly what we plan on doing. I have 2 reservations: Room-only and a 7-night DreamMaker Package (to be switched to the 7-for-5). I figure I'll take what I can get now and watch to see what happens.

I thought about trying the 7/5 deal for the 7 nights of my 10 night stay ($2233.70) figuring I would have UPH's for 8 days, and we figured out of 10 days we'd go to WDW about 7 days, so I was thinking that would eliminate my having to buy PHP's, but then even if I get a great deal on the remaining 3 nights using a code (room-only if they come out), I would still be in for at least another $600.00 added to the above for a total of more than $2800.00...when I figure using AP codes, (using as a basis the rates I have received in the past as a guide), my price is approx. $2563.00 for the full 10 days, including renewal of my AP and buying my DH a 5 day PHP (I have a few PHP days left on my passes from last time as well). So, it would be cheaper for me to stick with the AP.
