Hi!
Wondering if you guys think riding 7 D's two times during our trip would be worth it for us...

We are family of 4 : husband & me, sons: 15 & 20

We go to DL regularly & have been to WDW 6 times, but not for 6 years now.

Who thinks we should ride it twice ( I already have FP for it twice) and who thinks once will be enough & I should switch to JC or something else?

I have Splash, Space, Thunder already, too...

TIA!

It's going to be completely subjective and everyone will have a different opinion. I can tell you for our family, when we went last August, I had booked it on two different days as well. Once on our first day and once near the end of our trip. After we rode it once, we all decided to go ahead and drop the second FP and fill in something different. It's a cute ride. The theme is great. But blink and you'll miss it! It's way too short!!! I would never do it without a FP, but also felt one FP was enough for our trip. Now, we'll probably do it again when we go back this summer, but again once and done.

I think you'd be better off getting another FP for any of the other rides instead of riding 7DMT twice. It's cute once, but not very long or thrilling, and being that you're going with older boys I'd imagine they are up for more thrills than tame rides. My teens were fine doing it once; it was most enjoyed by grandma who will not ride Space or Expedition Everest, for example.

Everyone has different opinions of whether it's worth it for them or not. It's not a thrill ride and isn't proclaimed to be one. It is highly detailed imagineering while riding a smooth mine train. Oh and the cars rock, one of a kind ride. We are all adults and we enjoy it.

Reasons to ride more than once: (1) Day and night rides are totally different. Night, it is low lit so you are mostly in the dark but you have great views of all of Fantasyland when you hit the hill tops. We find it is two different experiences. (2) The inside the mine part is lots of imagineering and you will miss most details. Each time we spot something new. (3) The rocking you get with the cars varies by which car you are in and the people you are with. You can lean and make it rock more. You can request first or last car - they will stand you to the side until the next train.

For kids that age, especially males, they'll more than likely be done after the first ride...if they fit the first time, that is.

If themeing is something that interests you, the queue is beautifully done, and is worth riding standby at least once if you can enter the queue without it reaching out onto the sidewalk area.

I wonder what tiny fraction of the guests know that there's an "easter egg" hiding in the spinning barrel game and actually get to see it.

I will be checking that out during our June trip!

We always ride twice....once during the day and once after dark to be able to see the cottage scene.

We are making more than one Fp+ for the mine train, but my kids are little and I am not sure they will be tall enough for Thunder mountain or splash. I don't think I would do it more than once as an adult.

I would do a FP for Mine Train every day you are in MK. Almost every other ride, the lines are short enough that it would make sense to do standby (30 minutes or less). That's the only one where it never lets up.

We had two fp's for separate days and I was so glad we kept them. We rode it once in the morning on our first MK day and once towards the end of the trip at night. Loved it at night! It is not a ride that I would do without FP... An hour or more wait for a ride that is so short is not worth it, but having 2 fp's for it is absolutely worth it. It is a great ride but it is short.

We had made FP+ for the Mine Train for every day we were in the MK, but DD7 opted to choose other attractions after one ride. We LOVED the ride video, and almost rode again just to get another one. But I suspect your family will be one and done, too.

I'd make the FP+ just in case, but then change it after your first ride if you don't think it's worth it to repeat it. Same day FP+s are tough to get, so booking one ahead that you might use is a good backup plan.

I do think the SB queue is worth going through at least once. The kids had a lot of fun playing with all the stuff in there.
