My first question was posted only minutes ago, and it's already answered... you guys are great!

Here comes more questions...

We'll be on the 7 days Western cruise. Between the two families, we have two 3 yr old girls. I was wondering if you guys can suggest some onshore excursions suitable for the kids.

Us adults also thinking about going on the sunset cruise (think it's at key west). Will the kids be able to stay at the Oceaneer Club til we get back? What time do they close?

Thanks again.

HI welcome to the boards, you've got two 3 year olds are there any other kids with you or do you just need trips for the little ones, they'll probably be happiest in the clubs and in the pools so you may not need to bother with other stuff, but how about the aquarium or butterfly farm in key west, both can be done on your own, the turtle farm in grand cayman might be fun for them too and i have read of children of this age doing the stingray sandbar but it depends on the kids abilities etc. again through nativewaywatersports, captain marvins, shoretrips etc DCL have a minimum age of 6 for this trip. Or you could just spend some time on the beach at 7 mile and take along some sand toys.
then for cozumel how about sea lion discover at chankanaab ?
the oceaneers club is open from 9 am - midnight i believe and kids can stay in the clubs when you're in port but the sunset cruise is a few hours long so it depends on whether you're comfortable leaving the children on the boat while you're away, the pager won't reach you on the boat and you wouldn't be able to get back quickly if they needed you but again all depends on what you are okay with. on castaway cay there is scuttles cove which is a playground for kids in the club and there are also beach toys to be borrowed in the grouper pavillion, hope this helps Happy cruising

welcome to the boards....
on GC check out Stingray City, I have heard a lot of people that bring their young children if you book privately. it is supposed to be great.

Cozumel there is Paradise Beach that is supposed to be real nice. Just grab a cab at the pier, lot less money.

Key West not too much to keep little ones interested.

We are on the July 17th western with a 3 yr old (just turned 3). Here is what we planned to do with him...
key west - trolley/train - one of which you can get off of and walk
Caymans - Capt Marvins Stingray beach - no add ons just the stingrays
Cozumel - Dolphin Encounter thru Disney

What we really kept in mind was that he would need a nap and if we pushed him to do one thing after another we would have one tired (and whiny) kid.

The club is also an option if you want to do something without them. We decided this was not an option for us.

Good luck.

How far is aquarium or butterfly farm from port? Will it be too rushed since we have the 6:30 dinner?

Thanks again.
