A quick summary:
- Friday 4/16 Arrived in sunny Orlando, met by our “Limo” (a car), stopped at the grocery store on the way, and were delivered to the Caribbean Beach Resort in Walt Disney World (WDW) by 2:30 pm. By 5pm we were ready to do some exploring so we went to Downtown Disney and ate at Planet Hollywood – aren’t we cool?

- Sat: DS woke me at 6am, but after swallowing my regrets at loosing sleep, we had a lovely walk around the “islands”. The birds were singing and it’s just beautiful. We brought breakfast back to room and we all headed to MGM for the day. Tower of Terror, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, etc, then back to rest for a while. After napping we returned for dinner and an amazing light show called Fatasmic – all new to me.

- Sunday – Early morning with Wesley again! Then off for a day at the Magic Kingdom. Again took a mid-afternoon break, and back to the park for dinner in Cinderella’s castle, more rides, the big parade of lights and fireworks.

- Monday: Animal Kingdom day. We had a character breakfast – it’s a breakfast buffet and then Mickey, Pluto, Goofy and Donald go around to all the tables for autographs and pictures. After relaxing back at the hotel we went back to Magic Kingdom for a few more rides – a little tired at the end of this day!

- Tuesday: Drove to Daytona area so DD could visit a friend and we went to the National Seashore.

- Wednesday - Epcot: Rides, rest, dinner, etc. We ate in Morocco and were entertained by a belly dancer!

- Thursday: Another down day – just didn’t feel up to dealing with lines and crowds so we enjoyed our resort, and DS and I did some exploring of Disney transportation systems. We took the bus to MK, rode the Monorail to Central trans, rode through Epcot and back to MK. Then we took the bus to Ft. Wilderness Lodge – wow – a wonderful ride on the lake to an amazing hotel. At night we went to Disney Quest in Downtown Disney – it’s five floors or arcades, virtual reality, computer animation, etc, all covered by one price. DH and I left DS and DD there for a while and went out for dinner. We ate at the bar of House of Blues, because that doesn’t require a 1.5 hour wait! That was a treat.

And then back home again on Friday, with very few silly souvenirs, no t-shirts, and very little tan. But we had a great vacation and DS can’t wait to go back (but I told him he has to wait until he is 16 – I’m not sure that will fly!)

That’s it. And more than enough, I’m sure.
