7 day Western - May 7, 2005???

Bratray & Teresa,
Be prepared there's a lot to fill out. Some of the papers for customs are alittle tricky but it's fun just to fill them out. It makes it more real. I was thinking yours probably needs to go to the TA and then to you. :confused3
 Bratray I hope you get good news at the doctors. Good Luck! :dancer: :dancer: :dancer: :boat:
Debbie

wow, almost 5 weeks to go and already got your docs?.....thats awesome...we are traveling on 5/7 as well....my family of me, DW, DS-4 on the cruise, and DS-8....also traveling with us is DW's best friend, her DH, and their 3 kids DD-10, DS-8, and DS-7... :boat: Fortunately, they are first timers, so we get to show them the glory that is DCL cruising....

Cant wait to get our docs

We're getting closer and closer.... just 5 weeks from today we'll all be enjoying Key West, hopefully with a Conch Cooler in hand! :cool1:

Like Momeska, we're getting flooded with rain. We're just a few miles from the Delaware River that is expected to rise 2-4 feet above the level it reach with Ivan last year! That's really bad news for folks with homes or businesses on the banks because most of them were heavily damaged during Ivan and are still recovering. The bright side is that we're not getting snow, like Bratray.

Welcome alexandrew. There should be plenty of little DISers for your kids to play with. In our group of family and friends, we've got three girls - 11,8,3 and 3 boys - 4, almost 4 and 2.

As far as docs arriving, we book through AAA and typically the docs arrive about 2 weeks prior. So, I'll have to be patient a little while longer. :rolleyes1

:umbrella: DH and DS17 just went on a "road trip" to see how high the Delaware river is. We're just on the eastern side, only about a mile as the crow flies but fortunately, up high.
Anyone out there with teenagers doing the 8:30 dining? Seems like pretty much everyone is doing the 6:30. Of course, with how busy we'll probably be, our faces will fall in our plates from fatigue. :rotfl:
DS17 is really getting excited. Plans to never see us. DS13 couldn't care less. Got that teen "tude", I'm afraid. Please tell me there are others out there and that they come around once we get going.

Tera, We booked through DU both times. The first time or TA had to make DCL do a search for our documents as they had not arrived at 5 days prior. They finally overnighted them to us.
This time we got them at 5 weeks. Maybe they were trying to make up for last time!?
I am now dropping subtle ;) hints to family about packing and thinking of what everyone wants to take.
They are also dropping hints to me about someone being a computer hog.
Can't imagine who they are talking about! :rotfl2:
Can't wait to meet you all in person.
Carol

hi
mommommouse maybe you have me confused with jot3 and her bad foot- (thankfully i don't have any pending visit to the doc)wishing you the best jot3- :goodvibes
lostgirls how are your kids doing- hope they are feeling better-
welcome alexandrew- i will add your information to our dislist on page 28

we have a total of about 8 to 10 inches of snow now!!-

did anyone know the clocks went ahead today- boy, i was confused all day- i thought my battery powered clock in the kitchen was wearing down because the time was an hour behind what the cable TV said- took me till this afternoon to finally realize that the time changed :rotfl: :rolleyes1

Hi Bratray :cool1:
We are in 5132...Don't expect an upgrade since we used DVC points.. 2nd seating..--James pirate:

:cool1: Does anyone know what the rule is on taking scissors or nail clippers on your carry-on?
Sorry to hear about all the rain. Tiggerzfan, is Newtown flooded? Didn't talk to my son today. :umbrella: So I don't know if he's flooded or not.
Jett3, I hope you get good news about the foot. :cheer2:
My family told me "Their sick of hearing about the cruise", So I guess I'll just keep telling you all. :rolleyes1
:Pinkbounc :cheer2: :Pinkbounc :cheer2:

Hi there :goodvibes
From what I understand you can carry in your check in luggage safetey scissors only.. Nothing with a point.. I am taking out my leatherman tool as I just read recenly someone had thiers confiscated from thier check-in luggage.. You can carry a nail kit in your check-in according to thier rules.. Remember not to put locks on your luggage as they will cut them off to go through the luggage for items they cannot identify through the x0ray machine.. James

Sorry Bratray, I figured that out after I wrote it. :confused3 Sorry to hear about the Snow too. You'll be warm soon. :boat: :dancer: :dancer:

Wow, I must be slacking today. Wasn't inside much today since it was in the mid 70's here (sorry Bratray ;) )

Sorry Bratray your getting all that snow. We could use some here, but I don't want any :earboy2: If it helps, we're suppose to get a cold front through here Monday night and only a high of 42 on Tuesday ;)

Debbie - I'm thinking I might have questions regarding filling those out, so heads up ;)

Carol - Thanks for the information. I hope we're not one of those people that don't get their documents till right before we leave :earseek: If it does, no biggie since we'll have two days in Cocoa Beach before and still time to fill them out.

Love the Tude :guilty: NOT!

31 days to go!!!!!!

4 weekends to go!!!!!

all i have to say is that I HATE SNOW!! :headache: :headache:

I saw the Doctor again this morning and got another soft cast on my hurt foot. I also got a different kind of walking boot that might take more pressure off of it so it will start healing faster.

There is still a good chance I will be better by the cruise, though!

wishing you the best of luck jott3--you've got a good month to heal ....hopefully you will be up and around before the cruise!! :goodvibes

a few weeks ago i tripped on the carpet on the basment steps and fell about 5 steps....luckily my step son was standing there and caught me- i probably would have smashed my face on the concrete....i am so clumsy

Jott3, You should be ok in a month. Try to take it easy. We'll all keep our fingers crossed for you.:goodvibes
Teresa, Thanks for the WISH info. I started reading your journal. It sounds like everyone will be very helpful. You have done a great job. Congrats :dancer:
I'll be glad to help anyone with their docs. :cheer2:  :cool1:

Debbie :wave2:

Our documents arrived today via UPS. Woo Hoo!

I was thinking about them earlier today, but when DH carried them in I was surprised!

Can't wait to get our docs!
The girls are still a bit under the weather - these coughs are terrible! They are BOTH taking naps (which DD 7 NEVER does!) At least this week is Spring Break for us, so they aren't missing school. Hopefully they'll rally, so we can find something fun to do this week, despite the Seattle RAIN!!! :umbrella:

more documents...lucky you jott3- now all the more reason for you to get better- ;)

lostgirls sorry the girls are not feeling 100% but the coughs are always the last thing to go! they should be up and around in no time and feeling 100% for the cruise!!:goodvibes

i have been waiting on my passport forever- i submitted it in the begining of feb and it said it would take 20 days- well.....its been a lot longer then 20 days- i am a canadian citizen that resides permanently in the USA- i need my passport
